Chapter 48: Taking over 1
Leonard felt his body became lightweight, he ran out of mana and now he is running on a deficit of life force, healing the others isn't doing him good.
"Leo, take a rest!"
Lenneza held him down. He was trying to fight back but he was weak at the moment, holding the black wall of shadow isn't doing him good.
"Dammit, Leo just stay still!"
Yula also chimed in, pulling Leonard down, he might die of exhaustion at this rate. Both don't know why he is acting like this, only Leonard could tell that he was blaming himself.
"We have a healer alright? She's resting as well, and so should you!"
"Argh!"
Leonard groaned, he looked around and he felt an annoying tinge of pain in his chest, he needed to calm down.
"Fine, fine!"
Leonard stopped resisting. He calmed his breath and lay down on the ground.
Lenneza and Yula were quite surprised by Leonard's display, he acted like a third-rate villain in the first iteration, and this is one of the instances where they see Leonard's true colours.
"What? The Duke's son trying to make a heroic image?"
Veins bulge out of Lenneza and Yula as they hear the voice, it's none other than Charles.
"Charles, if you don't shut the fuck up just know that with your fucking debt I could make you a fucking work slave."
The unexpected reply came from Leonard who was taking a breather as he lay down.
Charles who heard this immediately shut his mouth, a lot of gazes looked at him as if he is stupid, what kind of thinking went in your head to say that?
"h-huh?"
Charles was taken aback, he didn't expect that debt would be known.
"We're scions of dukes, how did you not expect that?"
Charles looked away, done for the day to run his mouth. Leonard looked at the air, eager to quench the pain he was feeling.

Leonard bought the item, it wasn't flashy as he took it out of the system shop and it wasn't noticed that fast as he quickly popped it in his mouth.
His pain of maintaining the shadow wall is now at least eased through that method, fortunately, to Leonard's anxiety, Yula and Lenneza didn't notice what he did.
"Okay…" Leonard took a deep breath. "Sister."
"Don't push yourself," Lenneza warned.
"I won't, I just need to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Clairvoyance. It's better to know what's happening outside."
Lenneza nodded at his words, as they are trapped inside the hall as long as the authorities arrive. Might as well know what's going on outside.
Lenneza took a lotus position to sit down and start using her magic to scour the academy outside.
Meanwhile, Yula brought apple juice to Leonard.
"When things are about to erupt in chaos, I remember you launching yourself at the wall?"
"Yeah, I did that. When I was racing back here multiple of those fuckers intercepted me and the last thing on my mind was a jeep racing in that wall."
"Who is supplying those terrorists with that equipment?!"
Yula frustratedly scowled,
"They, themselves supply that equipment?"
"What do you mean?"
"Multiple illegal organizations are up and running, they're probably supplying themselves."
An example of this is the human trafficking that Leonard and Lenneza have intercepted in duchy territory.
"Anyway, what is Lenneza seeing?"
Yula asked, Leonard, shrugged he was also waiting for an answer, fortunately, Lenneza can cast any spell as long as she has mana for it. The ability of instant casting allowed that to happen.

Another explosion occurred in the next instance of shaking, dust falling down the ceiling in the hall. Lenneza's face twisted a bit, this didn't go unnoticed as Yula and Leonard were eager to hear her report.

Lenneza watched in the eyes of a bird as two professors fought off a large man, he was so unbelievably large you could see he was fictional.
"You twigs couldn't match me!"
The two professors are having a hard time, with a closer look, the professors are struck with needles as they poke out their clothes.
"Where are the damn reinforcements!?"
Panicked stroked their faces, whatever weapon the professors were using clearly isn't working. The terrorists' speed was not relative to its size prevalent by the number of wounds it gifts the professors.
"Wyatt, let's go."

A blade pierced out on one of the professors, the blade piercing out of his stomach, the professor looked at it as if he was dreaming.
After the blade retreated the professor who bore witness to the attack couldn't help but jump away, blade raised and ready.
"Can't I just crush this one?"
The large terrorist smirked as he eyed the lone professor, he was looking at his earlier companion was stabbed through his abdomen. His intestines fell when the blade that shanked him retreated, he never saw something like this in his whole life.
"Nah, let it be. Let's go to the jeep, we need to get out of here…"
The man who was talking to the larger terrorist looked up, Lenneza felt a chill down her spine as he looked directly at her.
"We already did what we needed to do."
He pulled out a gun off his coat and shot in Lenneza's direction. Feathers sprawled as the man aimed at the bird Lenneza was using to be clairvoyant.
"Ugh!"
Thanks to that Lenneza was forcefully pulled back to her body.
"Lenneza! What did you see there?"
The first to greet her was Yula, a worried face of a friend who was the first to meet Lenneza, only followed by a grumpy one.
"What did you see sister?"
"They have a command chain."
"A very organized syndicate. Fuck."
Leonard sighed, but it seems someone else heard the conversation.
"An Organized syndicate you say?"
It was Walter, walking up to Leonard and the gang.
