yre is where the real story begins. Three years after the Herald War ended. The citizens are now in a safe hand and Van was known for his heroic deed for defeating Demon King all by himself, thanks to Jacob's researching.
In the castle, the prince of Zenuvia was born and named him after the kingdom. His name was Zenju. The king, King Mavion was happy for Zenju to be born, but sad because the queen died after giving birth to Zenju. The kingdom spreaded the gossip that Zenju was the wielder of calamity curse.
King Mavion's greatest friend Gabriel came to visit the kingdom of Zenuvia. King Gabriel noticed that Mavion's kingdom was better than his. Compared to King Gabriel's kingdom, King Mavion's kingdom was much larger, most people, greater magical power, and protected by Heralds.
The kings met and welcomes to the castle, Gabriel saw that the castle was big and was built mostly from gold and diamond, unlike his was just bricks and metal and the people were unpleasant to be on the kingdom.
"King Mavion, may I ask a favor"
"What is it King Gabriel?
"You see... M-My kingdom was attacked by huge asteroid and nothing left to my kingdom. Me and my daughter was the only ones who survived and my citizens were now gone.
Me and my daughter have nothing to call home. Let's make an engagement for our children"
"What!? That's to fast. They can't marry each other, they are still too young. "
"But they will marry each other when they grow up so please let us stay."
King Gabriel's kingdom was erased and it was awful that he and his daughter only survived.
King Mavion let them stay in the kingdom, besides it is his decision to make. Zenju was already ten and for those years, many citizens became ill and passed away.
"King Mavion!! Please do something with your child, uncountable family members have gone because of him."
"Please listen to our request, King Mavion."
Day and night, they always complain on the front gate. The guards are having trouble for keeping the gate locked and keeping away the citizens to the gate.
King Mavion was troubled and he can't sleep because of Zenju's curse. By that, King Mavion left the kingdom to search for an answer to cure Zenju's curse. He left Gabriel in charge for Zenuvia.
King Mavion go to countless island and asked countless mages about the calamity curse and found nothing. He was running out of hope, but everytime he thinks of what he was doing out of home. He climbed high mountains, walked through thick snow, and swims dangerous seas and oceans to search for an answer. He doesn't actually swim it though, he used a boat to swim, a big boat.
For the past five years worth of travelling, he only find a hint to lessen the effectiveness of the curse, that is to love.
He went home to Zenuvia. He was shocked of what the kingdom became to. It wasn't the Zenuvia he raised, the sky was dark, the joyful citizens wasn't joyful anymore and they have hatred to each other.
He entered the castle and the guards didn't let him through.
"Well Well Well... Mavion was home, how'd it go?"
"This isn't my home!! What have you done to them and where is Zenju!?"
"Zenju? Ahh he's up there."
//GASP!//
Zenju was up in the execution stage where his head was inserted where the axe was.
The axe falls...
"FFAAATTTHHHEERR!!"
//SHING//
Ace the Supreme Herald suddenly dashed and countered the axe. He grabbed Zenju and King Mavion and leaped multiple times to the gate. He brought them to the mountains safely. He bowed and kneel in front of them...
"Your highness, your life is in danger. Please don't comeback to the kingdom or else they don't hesitate to kill you. I also prepared a house for you two just follow the track."
//SHOCK!!//
"I-I don't have much time. the king's mage puts a spell on this bracelet that gives me a powerful shock when King Gabriel commands. The other Heralds also have these that why I can't accompany of protect you"
//SHOCK!!//
"ARGH! I must go now you're Highness and take care."
Ace dashed as quick as he can till the next shock. At the moment he arrived at the window where King Gabriel was, he kneeled and reported with a lie.
"You're Highness, why would you give me a shock when I was about to execute them?"
"You're still complaining!!"
"No, sire"
"So, why take them to the mountain if you cen execute them here?"
"Because sire you don't want things so messy that's why I executed them in the mountains."
Ace reported the lie as he reveal their heart as proof of execution. It's not actually their heart. When he left the mountain, he grabbed some boars and snatched their heart.
"Excellent, now there's no one to interfere my plans. Now go to your dungeon and stay still, or else a shock will get you. Understood!"
"Yes, sire"
Ace, Jacob, and Rindou was in the dungeon guarded by some upper guards.
On the other side, King Mavion and Zenju headed to where Ace told them to. And there is the house made of stone. The outside was beautiful so is in the inside.
"Father, are we gonna be okay?"
...
"As long as I'm here, we will gonna be okay"
Mavion said to Zenju as he pat his head.
"I'm no longer the King so I'm gonna remove these royal clothings but you, you're still my a prince. You're Highness"
Mavion said as he bowed in front of Zenju to cheer him up. They lived a normal life filled with happiness on Zenju's heart.
Half a year passed when they left the Zenuvia... *coughs*
Mavion was affected with Zenju's curse that consumes his life continuously.
"How can I tell this to Zenju? My life will be over soon and he will gonna be alone forever"
Mavion scripted to his mind with troubled face.
"Father are you alright?"
*gasp*
"Oh... I'm fine. Why?"
"Nothing it's just... you seem to have a problem"
"Not really. I'm fine"
Mavion decided not to tell his situation to Zenju to ruin his happiness.
"Zenju let's go fishing?"
"Yeah let's go!"
Mavion spent the time with Zenju's smile. A month since he was affected, he was bedridden and can't talk nor stand.
*sobs*
"Why is this happening. I can't let you die. I will a medicine to cure you"
As he walk through the door, Mavion grabbed Zenju's hand.
*gasp*
"Father? What is it?"
Mavion was tearing as he whispered a word to Zenju
"Don't disappear on my side."
Zenju's pain became worse that all of those who affected by his curse suffers more than they do including Mavion. Mavion was dying...
"L-Live... a wonder...ful life-"
After that, not a single word came out through Mavion and those are his last words.
"FAAATTHHHEERR!!"
Zenju's shouted as he cry hugging Mavion.
He buried Mavion while in tears.
"Anywhere you are, please be happy"
