Chapter 11: Path to become a Leader Part 1

After he reaches the house, he opens the door and enters the main room. In fact, this house only has this room. It was bigger than normal rooms. There was a huge round table in the middle of the room. Nearly ten to twelve chairs were placed around it.

The windows were opened. There are few guards around the house so it wasn't a big deal. Gu Tan walks up to the chair which was closest to the door. A few minutes later, six people walked in.

"Congratulation Little Tan! You have proved your talent once again." The person that walked in was a middle-aged man. He wore black clothes. His face was brown with black hair and eyes. He had a solitary body. His name was Lee Che.

"Uncle Lee, please take your seat!" Gu Tan greeted the man while taking him to the seat.

"Haha Little Tan, you outdid yourself once again. I am proud to be your uncle." Another middle-aged man walked in wearing a green dress. He wore black shoes and had a slender body. His skin was quite fair. He had black hair and eyes just like his dad.

"Uncle Chu, please take a seat!" Gu Tan smiled back. Although Gu Chu was adopted, his grandfather rarely takes care of him after he reaches the age of eighteen. This is why Gu Chu has a huge resentment towards his father.

Gu Chu smiled and took a seat.

"Little Tan congratulation!"

"Congratulation Little Tan!"

"Little Congratulation Tan!"

When the last of the five elders congratulated him, he misspoke the words. Everyone raised their heads and stared at him with confusion.

"Cough! I mean, congratulation Little Tan. I wanted to say something unique since everyone said the same thing. I hope you don't mind." The last one was an old man. He had a long beard and tall height with a slender body. He wore a white dress under a white robe.

"Grandpa Tu, your jokes are still fresh as you." Gu Tan smiled and replied.

"Haha! That's my little tan, you know me the best." Tu Shen bursts into laughter hearing his words. He likes when someone praises his jokes. And, Gu Tan not only praised his joke but also said some good words.

"But Little Tan, why did you call us here? Shouldn't you be celebrating your awakening with your family?" Another elder spoke. He was also an old man like Tu Shen but he had a fat body and short height. And unlike Tu Shen, he wore a red robe over his shirt and pants.

"Grandpa Han, I have something very important news to disclose here. It not only involves me but also the entire village." Gu Tan made a serious expression as he spoke. In front of him, his dad and five elders were sitting.

When they heard his words, they frowned. They know he wasn't the type of person who would joke about serious stuff.

"Little Tan, what happened?" Another elder who was also an old man spoke. Unlike Tu Shen and Han Yang, he was a muscular and bald head. He wore a yellow robe and had a brown beads garland around his neck.

"Grandpa Zhao, here and right now, I want to disclose one of my biggest secrets that except for my parents and grandpa, nobody else knew." When he said those words, Gu Chen suddenly stood up and stared at him.

"Father, this time I must disclose this information. The fate of our village is at stake. And, this is the only and best way to prove it." Gu Tan's words and his serious face made Gu Chen sit back.

Seeing such an extreme reaction from Gu Chen, they knew this wasn't some kind of normal information. And, they frowned, even more, when Gu Tan said the fate of the village is at stake.

"Little Tan, please tell us everything! If the fate of the village is truly at the stake, we can't turn blind eye to this." Tu Shen turned his head from Gu Chen to Gu Tan and spoke.

"Yes, Grandpa Tu! But before I explain everything. I want to confess this." Gu Tan nodded his head and spoke. But, in the middle, he paused for a moment and continued "I am not a genius. My wisdom and intelligence isn't something I had from my birth."

"A person who I acknowledge as my master helped me become a genius, with the wisdom and intelligence far more than a mere child. But, this is not to say that adults are always intelligent than children. It's just that my master taught me how to make decisions and many other things."

"He is a reason why I am able to become a genius. He is the only reason why I can think far better than a child. But, two hours ago, he passed away."

At this moment, two streams of tears fell down his eyes. He had to work freakishly hard to show these tears. He used a special technique that only consumes his stamina to increase the effect of anything he remembers for a moment.

While telling them about his master, he thought of his village getting slaughtered in his past life. That made him cry. So, in a way, these tears weren't fake. They were as real as tears can be.

"Tan'er, don't cry!" Suddenly, his father appeared in front of him and embraced his son. He couldn't see his son cry like this. And, more importantly, he felt guilty for hating the monk inside his son's mind.

Five elders were also shocked and sad after hearing him. They couldn't help but stand up and mourn for a moment. His dad also accompanied them in mourning. But, Gu Tan was satisfied with this reaction. As much as they believe it, the easier it will be to accomplish his goal.

After mourning for the non-existing monk, Han Yang stared at Gu Tan asked "Little Tan, what exactly do you want to say? Since you had to disclose this information, it must be for something important and something that needs our support, right?"

Gu Tan bitterly smiled and said "Grandpa Han, you are right. Before, this wouldn't matter much to me. Since I had planned to pursue cultivation. But now, it seems I can't leave my village. The reason I said the fate of the village is at stake is that it truly is."

"Elders, this might come as a surprise and it might be unbelievable at first. But, this is what my master said to me. Our Elemental Vein is not a Common Rank Vein."

When the elders heard those words, they immediately frowned. If Gu Tan had said this from his own analyzes then, they would've refuted it at once but it was his master that said these words. Since a person can turn a child into a genius, he can't be a normal person.

This was their thoughts for a moment. Tu Shen tapped the table with their finger and asked "Little Tan if it isn't a Common Rank, why does it put the village at stake....."

But as he asked, his eyes widen as he stood up and continued "You don't mean our elemental vein is a Rare Rank?"

Hearing his words, Gu Tan shook his head.

"Hu!! For a moment, I thought it was a Rare Rank. If it was a Rare Rank, we would be slaughtered as soon as others learn about it." Tu Shen released a deep breath and took his seat.

"Tu Shen, we already checked the elemental stones. It was a Common Rank Elemental Stone." Han Yang sighed as he spoke to Tu Shen and then turned his head at Gu Tan and asked "Little Tan, clarify everything at once."

Gu Tan nodded his head and spoke "Our Elemental Vein is a Common Rank but not a normal one. According to my master, our elemental vein is an evolving vein that will soon evolve into Rare Rank next year."

"What? Evolving Type!" Zhao Ming suddenly stood up and shouted while slapping the table.

"Little Tan, it is indeed hard to believe. Although those veins does exist, we don't know how many are there and who possesses them. Are you sure we can trust your master on this?" Gu Chu stared at Gu Tan and asked with a serious tone.

'Hmm! This is going to be hard. Until I return back, I didn't know my uncle was the one who betrayed our village. But, did he betray us from the start or did he just do it because of his greed?' Seeing Gu Chu's serious expression, Gu Tan couldn't help but frown for a moment.

But, he quickly managed to calm down. He nodded his head and said "Yes, we can hundred percent believe in my master. I know it is hard to expect. But, can we truly take a risk? If Great Family and Royal Family learns about our vein evolving from common rank to rare rank, can we even fight them?"

At this moment, the silence flashed inside the house.
