Chapter 4: Unlocking EMP
David was very happy to see that he had gained basic control over 4 elements at such an early stage.
'Why is my ice and lightning control incomplete? Maybe I need some stimulation to activate them. But first, let's get used to the 4 elements that I have'
David tried to concentrate air in this hand. After a few minutes, a small column of rotating air was on his hand which looked like a mini-tornado. When he increase its power the papers around him started to rotate around him. Next, he tried to create water from the atmosphere but failed even after a few tries. Then he brought a small tub of water and tried to manipulate it. At first, he was only able to create waves like an ocean but after practicing for 10-15 mins he was able to split the water into two different sides of the tub and even create small rings of water that kept floating on his hand.
' Holy crap I got tired in 20 mins, I really need to increase my body strength and stamina or I won't be able to use my versatile elements when facing a villain
"David come out lunch is ready" George's voice came from outside the door.
"Coming big brother...wait a min" David said while coming out of the room all sweaty.
"What happened to you? Why do u look so exhausted?"
"Nothing...Just went a bit overboard while testing my quirk"
"No problem but remember to not let it happen again. After lunch come to my and James's room we ll teach u meditation for recovery and how to use your quirk efficiently."
"That would be awesome. You go to the dinner table in the meantime I'll change and join u guys" David said while running back to his room.
David and his family were having lunch together when David reminded them about martial arts training to which his father promised to take him tomorrow morning. After lunch, David went to his brother's room only to see that James was using his quirk and sending lasers in the open sky through the balcony of their room while George had connected two wires which had a suction cup at its end connected to James chest, hands and both sides of the eyes which was all connected to a screen in front of George.
"Come in David I was just checking what changes happen in James's body when he uses his quirk. How much energy is created and how much is wasted." George said while indicating David to come sit by his side while James just smiled and continued firing lasers.
"See David whenever James wants to send lasers a stream of energy flows from his heart to his fingers through blood but most of this energy is wasted because not all of it is directed towards his fingers. So if James concentrates on the blood vessels from his heart to his fingers then he can create a more dense laser and his duration will also increase" George says while pointing to different things on the screen and explaining David
"Damm I was able to create 15 mins more than last week" James said while wiping his sweat.
"Now James go in meditation state and circulate energy all over your body" George said to James.
James quickly got into his meditating position and started meditating and David could see changes happening inside James's body on the screen and then he looked at George for an explanation.
"The energy is traveling through all the blood vessels of his body to open them more so that the energy can travel more freely. This also helps in recovering your lost energy after getting exhausted as many heroes face problems due to overuse of the quirk and cripple themselves"
'Things could go really bad if I don't increase my stamina and efficiency' David thought (For God's sake your just 3 yrs old....just chill)
After 10 mins James opened his eyes and had a bright smile on his face and told his two brothers that he was sensing great improvement and it wouldn't be long before he would be able to shoot a laser beam from his palm which reminded David of iron man's hand blasters.
"Here David let me help you put these wires on your body" James said while attaching the suction cups to David's body.
David first tried to create a tornado in his hand while George and James looked at the screen. They then brought a bowl of water and told him to float and move the water around him.
"David while both the elements are different from each other they are the same energy from your body which is a good thing as all you have to do is to increase your internal energy and your each element will be equally powerful" James said while pulling out a candle from his drawer but David told him not to as he isn't confident about his other elements.
"Wow David this means that when u grow up you will be way more powerful than the rest of us" James said while pulling David's cheeks.
Then George told David to start meditating and while meditating David started feeling a warm relaxing feeling spread from his chest to every part of his body. He even felt a tingling sensation in his head and then a message popped up on this system interface.

Just as that happened George told David to stop and showed him the screen. Which showed a blue stream of energy which was first limited to his hands which was before the meditation and after meditating for a couple of minutes the energy increased severalfold and even invaded his brain which is not supposed to happen.
"David the energy entering your brain is not something any of us has experienced. Do u feel any discomfort ?" George said while removing the suction cups from David. James also had a worried face after listening to the last part George said. To which he assured them both that he felt way better than before and not to worry to which they both sighed.
'I don't want anyone to know about my pulse control including my parents. Even I didn't know that the system would recognize it as an element.
