Chapter 3: Payback
After the ceremony, Rey went to his mother Amanda to tell her about the call from the elder and that he might get home late.
Rey decided to go meet the elder after a leisurely walk around the town and after 20 minutes of idle walking reached the elder's house which was also the Mayor's residence.
Yep, the elder was the father of the current Mayor of Rosewood and held an important position not only in the town but also among his peers from all over the empire.
As Rey stepped inside the gate he saw two guards bowing to him. He slightly bowed to them in return and went on the pathway which led to the elder's residence. On his way, every guard he met bowed to him with respect and greeted him politely.
So for you who have still not guessed, Rey was not a simple ordinary boy, he was the genius of Rosewood Town, one says to be born one in 10,000 years and coupled with his rare darkness attribute made his all the more special. Moreover, he was the friend of the Mayor's only son Edmund.
While roaming the large residence, he spotted Ed (as he called him) in a sparring area doing some basic exercise. He wanted to sneak up on him and bash his skull to the ground but he gave precedence to the meeting with the elder and decided to push Ed's beating a little further.
But it seemed like destiny wanted to see Ed get beaten up and as Rey was about to move away he called out to him
"Oi Rey! You doin' fine I hope."
Rey slowly turned around to look at Ed and his smiling smug face came into his view.
'F*ck the meeting, the elder didn't specify a time so he wouldn't mind if I came a bit late, but teaching this son of a b*tch a lesson takes priority. '
He thought to himself as he calmly walked towards Ed and tried with a smile, "You bet, never felt better." and when he was in striking distance, threw a hook at his face.
Ed instinctively ducked to avoid the hook but was met with Rey's right knee which kissed him directly on the lips.
*Splat*
Ed spat out a mouthful of blood, "Take it easy dude."
He wiped his face as Rey closed the distance between them and tried to punch him again, straight to the face this time.
"I guess you didn't take well to the tickling. Hmmm!" Ed mocked Rey as he extended his arm to deflect the punch and countered with a kick of his own.
Rey tried to dodge but due to him putting his weight on the punch was a bit slower to retreat and Ed kicked him in the gut.
*cough* *cough* *cough*
They parried each other's attacks for a while and seemed to be in equal strength but due to Rey's anger towards Ed, he managed to overpower him and hit him a few times.
"You ..... you bastard! You told me that it will only tickle, so I was careless but...." Rey finally spoke but on remembering the pain he stopped and punched Ed in the stomach.
Ed who was being pushed back decided to take this seriously as if he didn't, then Rey would surely break a couple of his bones. He blocked Rey's punch and grabbing his wrist hit Rey's face with his elbow.
*ptew*
Rey spat the blood pooling in his mouth and with a bloody mouth spoke,
"You knew that it would hurt but still..... I felt like my skin was being peeled off and it lasted for F**KING 15 MINUTES. "
Rey with his emotions high feinted a kick from his left and when Ed's focus has been shifted, jumped from his other leg and kicked his temple, bringing him down.
With all the noise that the two boys were making, nearby guards also gathered this watch them.
GUARD 1: Why are they fighting?
GUARD 2: Who knows? Young master Rey suddenly attacked young master Ed and they had been fighting since.
GUARD 1: I get that but why is young master Ed on the floor and what.... what is young master Rey doing?
GUARD 3: I don't know and I stopped thinking what young master Rey does from the day he beat up a noble's son for calling his mother fat.
GUARD 4: And don't forget the slandering her did afterwards. Poor soul was destroyed beyond saving.
By now Rey had placed Ed in a figure 4 lock and the lying Ed screamed, coming back to his senses.
GUARD 2: Young master Rey sure is scary when he is not acting like an idiot.
The other two guards nodded in agreement and continued watching the fight.
Ed who by now was desperate to get out of the submission, saw Rey's ankle and without hesitation twisted it in the opposite direction. Rey not expecting this tried to remove his leg but Ed kept twisting his ankle which prevented him from getting out.
Rey was in a pinch, he was now stuck due to his own move and in extreme pain. Seizing the moment when Rey lost his focus and his grip loosened, Ed got out of the figure 4 and put Rey in a submission of his own.
"*Ughhh* Get lo... st" Rey spoke amongst the pain.
"Ya ya, as if you could do anything. But with all disrespect, did it really hurt?"
"You still *cough* have *cough* the guts to jo.... joke?"
"Guess it means that I am that much stronger than you."
"Don't be sad little boy, this great me will definitely take such an untalented person like you as my disciple. Hoho!! "
Ed let go of the hold only when he was sure that Rey was unconscious.
He got up dusted his pants, cleaned the blood stains and wa-
*Crack*
Dammit Rey at least let me complete my narration.
"Whatever, who don't you continue! "
Fine, the guards watching the fight went silent as their hands reflexively went towards their groin to cover it.
Rey was standing behind Ed with his knee between his legs. He smirked at Ed who slumped down on the ground lifeless.
"Farewell master eunuch!"
"You only taught me how to control my breathing and heartbeat."
"May your balls rest in pieces, Master!!" Rey placed a flower on Ed's groin and joined his heads. He eyed the guards to keep quiet or there was no shortage of flowers in the residence.
He hurriedly left for the elder's residence as it had taken him too much time.
The guards recovering from their shock looked at each other and when the uneasiness in their body has subsided, they went to pick up the fainted Ed and took him to the infirmary with the flower still on top.
