Chapter 7: Feeling guilty
watching how his daughter finally realized the way he puts to bed and doesn't sleep was something to be watched, the expirations on Lily face was priceless but the expressions on Lara was something else, she clearly tried and was exhausted and trying so hard to not fall asleep.
Simon laughed as he watched how Lily tortured Lara with her endless questions. But for unknown reason he found himself enjoying watching this new girl interacting with his daughter, how she talked with her in a childish way and she smiled and how she ran her hand through her hair to push it back.
"Why don't I put you to sleep. You must be tired after playing for two hours."
Simon heard Lara day to Lily trying to coax his daughter to go to sleep but what Lara doesn't know is that Lily sleeping requires lots of patience and some nights he fails and instead he ends up falling asleep on her bed.
"No." Lily answered.
As expected, Simon thought to himself.

Inside Lily's playroom, Lara was trying to convince Lily to go to sleep so she can go to her home and get some sleep too herself but the little girl was too stubborn and wanted to continue playing with her dolls.
Lara stares at the little girl, not knowing what to do. Dealing with kids was harder than doing a full year financial report.
Lara understandshoe Lily feels, a kid in her age with no mother, it's difficult situation to be in, that's why she tries to be as patient as she could and also be close to her hot daddy
"Okay. then why don't I watch you as you play with your dolls." Lara suggested, but Liy had none of it.
"No." Lily refused.
Lara sighed . She knew how a little girl with an innocent face like her could be this evil.

Outside the room, Simon was trying not to laugh so loud as he watched through the screen how Lily tormented the poor Lara. He felt bad for her, so he decided to interfere and end this torment.
Getting up from his chair, Siomen walked towards the door and knocked gently on the door before he opened the door and entered the room.
"Daddy." Little Lily got up and ran towards her father.
Siomin picked up Liye in his arms and kissed her forehead before she turned to look at Lara.
"I hope my Lily didn't tire you." Siomen said to Lara.
"No, she's a doll. '' Lara replied as she fixed her messy hair.
Simon eyes accidentally fall on Lara skirt that we pulled up, revealing a small part of her thighs. He immditly looked awa not wasntig hr to think that he was some kind pervert or something.
"Daddy, I want to play with Aunty more. please." Lily pleaded.
Hearing this, Lara felt ."Sweety. What did we speak about earlier? Did I say that Daddy needs rest and even me too."
Lara spoke as she approached the little girl. She felt if she didn't run away now, she wi;; never be able to. This little girl is so energetic, and she might stay up until morning playing with her toys.
"Yes, Lily. Aunty needs to go. She has work tomorrow morning." Simon spoke, helping Lara.
"Okay. See you tomorrow, Aunty." Lily rubbing her eyes, tiredness finally affecting her.
Sizing the opportunity, Lara kissed the little girl and paid her goodnight and her father before she left the office heading back to hers, grabbing her thigh and leaving the company.
Once Lara reached home, she tried to finish some of her unfinished work, but exhaustion got the best of her, and she ended up falling asleep on the couch/

At Simon house, Lily was long asleep in her father's arms , staring down at her, he thought about how his daughter resembled her mother too much, the mother that she will never be able to know, that was the deal that her mother offered in exchange for keeping the baby at the time.
When Lily was born it was hard to keep that deal but by the time she started to grow up and people around his started to ask questions, that's when Simon began to realize that he made a big deal. He only focused on his own happiness and nothing more, forgetting that he brought an innocent child into this cruel world and agreed that she would be without a mother.'
"Aunty." Little Lily whispered in her sleep.
Simon chuckled, hearing his daughter calling the new employee in her sleep. She must have liked her so much to call her in her sleep.
To be honest, she's kinda cute and beautiful, too, not to mention how short she is. He noticed how she had to wring her neck and cringe her neck to be able to look at him.
Suddenly, Simon realized something, he was thinking about Lara since he came back home from the company, something had never happened before.
Maybe it's because he was busy with taking care of Lily and the company for the past seven years and stopped dating or even thinking about meeting other women because he feared that Lily might feel lonely and the fact that bringing someone to Lily LIfe student at this young age and asking her to accept her is too much for her.
Simon was always torn between his obligations towards Lily and having a private Life because he always felt guilty about leaving Lily alone and going out for dinner or even walking by himself, a constant feeling that he never shared with anyone.
Looking at the time, Siomn decided to call it a night and go to sleep, or hopefully, he would be able to sleep since his insomnia was only getting worse.

The next morning, at the company.
Pressing the elevator button, Lara waited for the elevator while she sipped on her black coffee, hoping that the strong coffee would be able to wake her up fully/
Lara saw a group of employees who she saw yesterday in the meeting walking towards her, whispering to each other that she was certain that they were gossipping about what happened yesterday in the meeting.
"Good morning, Miss Marlo." One of the family employees .
"Morning." Lara replied and stepped inside the elevator with the rest of the employees and pressed the second floor.
Lara looked ahead of her, fully aware of their questionable eyes, but she didn't care, rumors are bound to spread once every one starts to notice that she spent time with the boss' daughter.
"Do you think she's Lily mother?" One of the workers whispered to his friend.
"I dont think so." His friend replied.
"Maybe she's the boss's girlfriend."
Lara heard him say and smiled to herself.
Well, hopefully, she will become his girlfriend. Lara thought to herself.
