Chapter 58: 58 Kidō
The ones that were originally in the front were now starting to slow down while panting as we passed by them.
Nato was one of the people that ran in the front and he's doing fine as I could see that he wasn't sweating.
Tsuki was a little bit in front of me doing fine, we finished 1 lap around the room, but the students running were only me, Tsuki and Nato who both were now panting.
As for me, I was starting to sweat and pant, I think I could run another 3-4 laps before I get exhausted.
I was starting to regret coming here but I also knew that this is also helping me, so I didn't stop and decided that I'll spend more time doing this.
As for the 10 laps, I knew that was just a fake because if all shinigami's completed this, then they should've been more strong in the anime.
Not long after finishing the second lap, both Nato and Tsuki's body gave up as they lay on the ground, exhausted.
Kuze lightly nodded his head at the two and looked at the one that was still running with surprise, he was impressed by the red one as he could see that he was only slightly tired yet.
Not just him, all the students on the ground also looked at the one that was still running. Feeling several stares on my back, I got confused as to why.
I used observation haki on myself to see if there's anything on me but there wasn't. Maybe its because I'm still running.
"Yeah it's probably because of that." Amber said in my head.
After running the 3rd lap, the stares still didn't stop so I decided to pretend that I was starting to get exhausted too as 40 whole minutes of having several eyes on you will still annoy some people, I could stand it if its just for a minute but 40 is too much for me.
Not long after, I was on the ground 'exhausted'.
"Non of you completed even half of what I said, as punishment you will run 20 laps tomorrow." Kuze shaked his head in disappointment.
"Ughhh." All the students in room released a groan as Kuze continued.
"Now go to your next class."
All the students dragged their numb legs as some is seen even helping each other move, their next class was kidō, which was what I was anticipating.
We entered the kidō training building as we saw the back of a man, he turned around and we got to see his trimmed black hair, beard and mustache, along with his blue eyes.
Here:
"Ahh you must be the first years, it looks like Kuze wasn't light on you huh? Let me introduce myself, I am Kyoshi Toburū, I will be your kidō teacher until you graduate." He said with polite smile.
Seeing that their teacher was nice and not like those other ones, the students began to relax.
"Now, go take a seat in one of those chairs, were going to talk about kidō and it's three categories." Toburū went up behind the podium and gestured for us to take a seat.
We all sat on the seat, me on the row second to the front, Tsuki behind me, and Nato on the back row.
"Now lets start, kidō or Demon Arts, is a form of Shinigami combat based on advanced spells. These spells are produced with strong Reiryoku and fall into two categories: Hadō for direct attacks, and Bakudō for battle support..."
--One boring explanation later--
"And that's all, now that we managed to go through what kidō is, tomorrow well talk about its basic spells. Class dismissed."
On his words, all the students went back to their rooms with excitement, I asked Nato and Tsuki if they wanted to come with me to the zanjutsu training hall. The both of them agreed to come, well actually, it was just Tsuki that agreed, Nato just tagged along because he wanted to fight her again.
We went to the zanjutsu training hall where we saw Suchiro waiting for us, he got up and said to sit down, we complied as he started to explain other sword techniques and give us some of his own insights.
After an hour, he said to Nato and Tsuki to spar while I fought him.
During our fight I got to say that although I could overpower him, in terms of swordsmanship, I would be the one losing, I soon lost because we were fighting with only our swordsmanship and nothing else.
He pointed out my mistakes and I made sure to listen, then we looked over to Nato and Tsuki as we saw that Nato couldn't hit Tsuki, whenever there was an opening, she would strike at that and Nato would either defend or dodge, she would take that chance to get some distance.
Even after waiting for a whole 10 minutes, there was still no winner, then we waited for another 10 minutes where finally Nato landed a heavy hit on her and she dropped down.
"I win." He said.
"Oh really?" Tsuki smirked as she sweep kicked him.
Nato lost his balance as he was the one on the ground while having a bokken pointed at him.
"I lost." He said.
Hearing him say that without any hesitation or difficulties surprised me since I though he would at least make some complains.
'Maybe my opinion of him is wrong.' I thought as after the spar, Suchiro called us and told us that if we want to then we can go back here tomorrow, Tsuki and I thanked him while Nato was quite and left.
I went straight back to my room and took out ruler, then went back to the world of the living.
It was already sun set when I got back, I saw Reika and Hikari training so I said to them that I'll be training else where.
I went back to my training ground and started weight lifting boulders and running.
After an intense workout, I went back home and said goodbye to Reika then slept.
--Half a year later--
In a room that looks like a traditional dojo, the men could be seen exchanging blows in fast speeds that their arms became blurry.
*Pak*
*PHA!*
The two men were of course Claude and Nato who were sparing.
--Mc Pov--
Parrying a strike from the side, I used shunpo to appear behind Nato and sent a strike towards his head, he blocked it and pushed me back then disappeared.
Reappearing next to me with the tip of his bokken heading straight for my eye, I ducked down and kicked at his feet.
Having experienced this move a hundred times, he jumped up and used the momentum to sent a vertical slash straight towards my head.
I moved my head just enough for the bokkens to pass next to me, then I hit the top of his guard, making his grip on the blade tremble, as I sent an upper slash at his chin.
He disappeared again and I also followed after him.
*Pa!*
*Pak!*
Two blows were exchanged as our bokkens blocked each other, trying to overpower each other, in the end, I won as I pushed his bokken to the side and stepped in close and pointed my bokken at his neck.
