Chapter 22: Wait
They watched for a while, waiting for the Ships to Sink. The Screams of Men was so loud that it sounded like they were near them. The Ships Sank and only Few men Survived.
"Go! Order the Whole Fleet to go to the Wreckage! Save Every Man that you Find! They are our Prisoners but they are still Men."
"You heard him! Go!"
The Ships Sailed into the Floating Men, Wood, and many other Pieces's of Supplies and Furniture. Men were Floating, some without Limbs, and some with an Arrow Pierced through them.
Men were Screaming for Help, and they gave them Help. Some were unlucky, They survived the Massacre but they won't survive the next. They couldn't save them, and thus given the Gift of Death.
Arthur turned to one of his Men.
"Find someone, that is not mortally wounded and have him Brought to me, I have Questions that is needing Answers."
"Yes, M'Lord."
The Soldier quickly left for the Prisoners.
"Salvage every piece of Wood, Supplies, or anything that can be of use!"
Shouts of 'Yes' and 'Aye' were heard throughout the Fleet.
After about 15 Minutes, the Soldier that he Sent, Returned with a Man.
"Here he is, M'Lord. He Survived the 'Battle' and was left with one Arm, He was the best I could find. His name is Richard, M'Lord."
He looked at the Soldier and Thanked him, Dismissed him and Looked at the Man in front of him. His Left Arm, gone up to his Shoulders. His Arm had a Cloth covering his wound to stop the Bleeding.
"So, Richard? How are you?"
"Good. As Good as I can after that Massacre."
"Well, I'm Sorry for that, My Friend. War is War, and Everyone Have to Sacrifice something. Just be Lucky, you need not go to War Anymore and get's to Live another Day."
The man just nodded, clearly aware of the Fate he had Received and was Thankful for it, He just lost an Arm but he could've Lost much more.
"Richard, I have a few Questions for you. Would you mind Answering them?"
"No, M'Lord. I would be glad to."
"Thank you. First, who was Leading your Small Fleet?"
"Captain Simon, an officer in the Redwyne Fleet. We didn't require anyone Noble because we were only sent as an Addition in the Royal Fleet, As per the Kings Command."
"Hmmm, Thank you. Second, How many Men are Besieging Storms End?"
"Most of our Army are Besieging Storms End as far as I know. And The Redwyne Fleet are Also Blockading Shipbreaker Bay."
'So they are cut off from any Kind of Supply, as far as I know they can hold up like that for about a Year if they are Saving their Food wisely, and they are Full on Supplies. But i think that is Unlikely, because Robert took Half of the Supplies of Storms End. And if Mace Tyrell keeps this Siege, Those Men would Starve to Death.'
Richard just waited there, looking down and waiting for Arthur, After a while Arthur Dismissed him and sent him to the Healers. The Healers had been a Project that Arthur made, they were personally teached by Maesters he Requested. The Healers was not Teached Completely but they were Teached enough to be Overseen by the Maesters.
"Let's Go! Row until Dragonstone is nowhere in Sight!
Upon Hearing the Command, They left and Sailed towards the Narrow Sea, Sailing silently under the Moon. Then, after Dragonstone was nowhere in sight, they sailed into the Middle of the Narrow Sea and Dropped Anchor.
The Next Morning Arthur woke up and Immediately summoned his Advisors, He was currently in a War, and a War needs to be Planned and Worked on every single Day.
His Advisors arrived at Different Times, the First being Raganvad. They waited for the others Silently, Raganvad Drinking his Ale from time to time.
All of them Arrived shortly after and the Meeting has Begun.
"Morning My Lords. I Apologize for the Inconvenience at this Time of the Day."
"It is not an Inconvenience, My Lord. We are Happy and Willing to serve you."
"Thank you, Augustus Now, onto Different Matters, as you Heard Yesterday, most of the Reach's Army are Besieging Storms End. As far as I know, Storms End can last up to a Year of Siege if their Supplies are Full and Spent wisely, But as Calisto here, told me, Robert Baratheon took Half of Storms End Supplies, And if someone don't break the Siege, Storms End WILL Fall."
"And what will you have us do? We can't even they outnumber us, almost 6 to 1 we can't possibly Break the Siege Alone, we can Defeat the Redwyne Fleet but we can't even face the Reach's Army."
"Yes, We can't face the Entire Army of the Reach to Break the siege, but we don't have to face the Reach's Army, do we?"
"No we don't Arthur, we can continue with the Original Plan and Capture Bitterbridge, Grassy Vale, Long Table, and Ashford."
"Correct, Raganvad. we can capture those Castles and Keeps, Cut off their Supply Lines and they themselves will Starve, the Reach's Lords are good tacticians, especially Lord Randyll Tarly, but Mace Tyrell is a Fool, When he sees our Army not directly facing him, and we, going into the Reach, he will see it as an Act of Cowardice, then, once we Capture those Castles, He will hurry back into us, and Break the Siege, He will try to Recapture those Castles Decisively and Swiftly because he Believes we are stealing his 'Glory.' And once that Happens, we can Safely do Hit and Run Tactics, or even Defeat the Smaller Portions of their Divided Army one by one."
"And while we are at it, My Lord. Why don't we also Destroy the Redwyne Fleet?"
"That's what I like about you Augustus. Ready to Serve and Eager to Fight. Before we land Ashore we will wait for Classis Braavosis Here for the Horses, once done they will Transfer the Horses to us and they will Destroy the Redwyne Fleet while we Land Ashore."
"Aye."
"Mace Tyrell Don't know what's coming for him, Arthur."
"And what's coming for him, Calisto?"
"Rome."
And they Waited and Waited for Classis Braavosis. All the while The Eagle waited Patiently for the Best Time to Strike.
