The figure is Abe, Ging's grandmother. Unlike the kind and old-looking gramma from the anime. Abe is still in her 50's, just like Mito, she has wavy orange color hair, hazel eyes, wearing an apron with a knife in her hand as she furiously stomps towards them.
Mito meekly went behind and try to hide, while Ging answered nonchalantly "We stumble on a baby Foxbear and had to run "Ging shrugged and lies. Foxbears are very protective of their kids, so you would never find a lone baby foxbear as their parents are always nearby.
"Mom! Dad!" Mito shouted while running to a couple who were waiting for them at the dinner table.
"Haha, my baby girl did you have fun with Ging?" The dad picks Mito up as he rubs his stubble chin on her. The dad is one of Abe's sons, Ging's uncle.
"Hehe, Mito had lots of fun with Ging!" Mito giggles and waves her hand frantically.
Ging looks at the scene and starts to feel a little envious of the little girl. From what he knows from the manga, Ging was an orphan, he got picked up by his foster father, Abe's older son. Unfortunately, his foster father died a while ago, during a trip out to the sea.
'To think that I was an orphan for both lives, how laughable' Ging silently snorts.
"Right, right, let's eat! Because of some people, the food is now cold" Gramma glares.
"Yeah!" The family then prayed and had a hearty and joyous meal.

"System, open package," Ging said as he lies on his bed.

'Rune inheritance: a special inheritance from a certain civilization that uses the power of Runes. Runes are rumors to be a language of Genesis. Genesis represents the beginning of time. The civilization is now destroyed due to jealousy from the other powers.'
'Runes, civilization, Genesis, other powers...." Ging muttered as he tried to process the information.
A few minutes later, "System won't I be a target as well for having this power" Ging asked cautiously. If having the power meant he would carry a big target on his back, he might as well not have it.
'Don't worry host, this power was lost trillions of years ago, which is why Genesis was regarded as the lost language, even if you show off the runes in front of the many powers, they won't be able to recognize it, regardless, the system will camouflage the runes, making sure no one will be able to see through.'
'That's good' Ging heaved a sigh of relief. His eyes now sparkle.

'You didn't ask?' the system nonchalantly retorts.
'Anyways, this Runes thing is very powerful, right? There must be some sort of restriction.' Ging asks the system. There's no free lunch in this world, this sort of power, I can't freely use, maybe at least not yet.
'Yes hosts, helping you translate the language is costly for the system, so every time you use the power of runes, an equal exchange of "Nen" is required, depending on the power.'
'Nen, huh?' Ging pondered, 'How do I acquire Nen?'
'DING! Hidden function activated'

'A hidden function? Shop...Quest. I should have figured that' Ging chuckles, 'What do the shop and the quest do, system?'
'Shop: anything that ranges from the lowest quality item in the universe, to the highest quality, anything that you think of can be bought here, with an appropriate price of course. The system will show hosts what you need or want to buy every time you visit the shop.'
'Quest: Do quest and earn system points that can be used to buy items from the shop. Appropriate quests will be given out at an appropriate time.'
'I see, well too much has happened today, I'm too tired to keep this up, we'll continue this tomorrow' Ging yawned, ready to hit the bed.
