I don't know if he deliberately did so though.
"Stop laughing already, you maniac." I said in a dull tone.
Can't help it. He destroyed my mood for battle.
Tsk tsk...
I was having fun killing people righteously!
And then he goes somewhere killing indiscriminately like a villain!
What the hell!
Specially since he is my teammate right now.
I don't want to look like a villain you know!
I am too handsome, innocent, virtuous and kind for that!
Can't he just go rampaging when he is going solo?
People might think that I am insane too if they know that I teamed up with this maniac shota!

"Ha! Your just jealous of my grandness! Bow before me peasant! Kuhahaha!" VV answered back mockingly.
What?! You think I am jealous because you were able to do some big explosions?!

"That is just over compensation for what you lack shorty!" I snarled back trying to ruin his mood too.
"Ouch! That burns too much Alister! Don't exposed VV from his compensating efforts for his height! That's too much!" Marianne said teasingly with a chuckle.
"Damn you A2! I am going to fight you for my dignity after this!" VV replied furiously.
"Ha! Fight me?! Dream on midget, your even lower than the height of my chest~! You are too small! Do you even lift?" I said with venom and flames, burning and melting VV for what he is.
Now you're in a bad mood too!
It makes me happy that I am not the only one now!

"Stop! Stop! He's dead already! Pffft! Hahaha!" Marianne said dramatically then laughed loudly at the end.
"Damn it! Damn it! I will get you back for this, bastard Alister!" VV said then he disconnected from the coms.

I just laughed loudly while cleaning up the stragglers that hadn't surrendered yet.
"Any news from charles yet? It's been too long already! What were they doing in there?!" I asked Marianne with irritation.
"They should almost be done now. You don't need to be so agitated." Marianne said calmly while in standy by now in the middle of the front gate.
She stopped moving around because no one is trying to go pass her now and I am left to do the clean up.
Some of our infantry men also joined us already, so we should be done in a few minutes from now.
- In the palace -
"Your majesty, most of the palace has been taken over already." A stern and manly low voice reported.
"Yes, finally. It is time! Let's make a move on then." Charles said with determination and eagerness.
He stood up from his seat and started walking out of the room they are currently in.
The other person just followed him on his side, a bit behind him.
This person has a sword and a gun on each hand while wearing military uniform for official knights of Britannia.
One of his eyes is closed tightly with something like some kind of stitches.
He has a very serious face right and seems to be really alert with his surroundings.
He is Bismarck Waldstein, future knight of one in Charles's reign, the most trusted right hand man of Charles.
Charles is wearing his most expensive royal outfit with a sword and a gun hanging in his waist.
The closer they are to their destination, the more dignified he felt.
The more he walk nearer the more solemn his atmosphere is.
The way forward has been cleaned up of the dead bodies by their men.
But even if the hall way has been free of the dead, there are still some lingering blood stains on the floor and the walls.
Some bullet holes are easily seen and there are still some burn marks from the fighting.
"The road of the king has always been filled with blood and death.
Death of the followers and blood of the enemy.
It is filled with corpses that has familiar faces such as family.
Since the beginning of our history, the road is filled with blood.
After all...
Only one can seat on the throne.
Always has been!" He said in a reminiscent tone with more determination.
He paused for a moment before saying...
"The throne is built from the bones of my enemies.
The kingdom will rise from the flames of war.
No one is born equal.
There will always be someone who is born superior than everyone.
And right now.
I will be that someone."
The more he said, the more his determination and confidence solidified.
And now...
They are in front of the door to the throne room where the current king should be.
Charles stopped for a bit before he inhaled and exhaled deeply.
Then he closed his eye with a reminiscing expression for a moment.
Before opening it again with a sharper look on his face.
He opened the door with strength.
And there, they saw his father, the current king, waiting for him with an expressionless face.
"Father... It's been a while... It's been a while since I last called you 'father'... What do you feel right now? Do you have anything to say at all?
You see, I did hate you for letting mother die back then.
But not anymore, I only feel indifferent now. Is this how you felt when you first sat on that throne?" Charles said in an indifferent and dull tone.
But the king just stared at him without saying anything.
"Aren't you going to say anything at all?" Charles asked with a frown.
"Is this the path that you have decided to take?" The current king answered him with his own question in a neutral voice.
"Yes, it has been decided a long time ago... I will purge this family before restarting with my own.
Blood has to be shed." Charles said with conviction.
"Then come and take everything with your own hands." the current king said in a dignified tone.
