Chapter 73: She Looked Exactly Like Tessa

Bryce had been doing his best to outrun his memories since Tessa died but he hadn't been doing as good a job as he had hoped. His apartment in Washington D.C. was completely devoid of photos of her since he couldn't bear to look at them. All of her things were in storage since he couldn't bear to look at those either but also couldn't even think about throwing them away. 

He still had the ring too. The one he never got to propose to her with the day after she went missing. It was in a box somewhere with all of her other things. 

Not having the physical reminders there didn't stop him from thinking about her constantly though. In the beginning he had gone to sleep holding her stolen Lakers hoodie every night and it only made him more upset.
