Chapter 3: Adventurer's Guild
'This should be the room'
I was now in front of the room that I rented for 1 week. while holding the woman in a princess carry, I entered the room. The room is clean and there are 2 beds. on the right side there is a table with a chair and on the left side is the window.
I put her on the bed slowly. when I look at her, a sudden thought appeared on my mind.
'Should I remove her hood? I want to see her face'
When I tried to remove the hood and touch it. I suddenly felt something that prevented me from pulling it off.
'Hmm... maybe she doesn't want others to see her face. since I don't want to be rude, let's just stop removing it. I will buy some healing potions for now. I will be needing it too in the future
After looking at her for a while I left the room and went to Adventurer's Guild.

'Hmmm? looks like this is the Guild'
When I entered, the first floor of the guild is a restaurant. The atmosphere is brighter than I thought. I imagined it would be like a bar filled with rowdy people. I think they are all adventurers. some of them look at me. but when they saw that it was only a kid, they return to their own business. When I go to the receptionist, the onee-san shows a radiant smile.
"Hi, Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild. How may I help you?" the receptionist asked me
"Hello, I want to buy some healing potion."
"What quality of the potion do you want? there are 3 types of healing potion Low Quality, Mid Quality, and High Quality" said the receptionist
"How much is the High Quality?"
"It is 200 Gold Coin Each," said the receptionist
"What?"
I was shocked, my master gave me 2000 Gold coins. I can only buy 9 pcs with it but there would be nothing left for me. I still don't know how I can earn some money.
'Oh, that's right! This Guild is for adventurers. let's just join and get some mission to earn some money.'
"Miss how can I join the Guild?" I asked the receptionist
The receptionist gets 2 crystal balls and put them in front of me.
"Here. This one is Attribute Crystal Ball, and what it does is to check your Attribute. and the other one is Magic Capacity Crystal Ball, this one is to check the capacity of your magic power"
"What is an attribute?" I asked.
"There are 5 Elements in this world...."
She started to explain to me that there are 5 Elements in this world which is Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, and Lightning. There are different characteristics of each element for example Black Lightning, Purple Lightning, Heavenly Lightning. this different type of lightning is the Lightning attribute. If you have the Lightning attribute you have a chance to learn almost all different kinds of Lightning Elements but that will depend on one person's magic capacity.
"I see, How can I flow my magic? I don't know how to use magic"
"You don't know how to use magic?" asked the receptionist in disbelief.
"yeah, my master only teaches me about swords" I reply to the receptionist honestly while scratching the back of my head
'How come master didn't tell me that there is magic in this world?'
"Well, just close your eyes. you should be able to feel it inside your body" said the receptionist.
"Alright, I'll try it"
I put my right hand in the attribute crystal ball and closed my eyes. after a minute, I can feel the heat inside my body. I tried to flow it to my right hand and suddenly, the crystal ball lit up. after shining brightly. The receptionist told me to remove my hand now. When the light is gone, there is a fire inside the ball. When I look at the receptionist, I can see the shock on her face.
"Yo- you only have one attribute and its fire." said the receptionist
"Really? awesome! I can use fire magic!" I exclaimed happily
"ahm… I'm sorry to destroy your happiness, but you only have 1 attribute. those who only have one attribute has no talent. it means that you can only take the job for the worker." said the receptionist
"What do you mean? How come I don't have a talent even though I can use magic? also, what kind of mission do workers do?" I asked her confused.
"The mission you can get in workers job is the same as a maid or a butler can do. like cooking, cleaning, etc. almost everyone with 1 attribute becomes a maid, butler if you don't want to become a butler or maid. your only choice is becoming a merchant or a carpenter. Also, I said that all 1 attribute doesn't have a talent, right? because all of them have limitations on their magic capacity. some people who can't accept the truth already tried to surpass their limit. and sadly, the result is negative."
My expression suddenly froze, so if you only have 1 Attribute your faith is sealed?
"Ha ha ha, what are you talking about miss receptionist san. you are kidding right?" I asked her with a forced smile on my face
"Ugh. I'm not kidding" the receptionist said
My expression Froze again and become gloomy, I felt dejected. I thought that I can hold my faith this time and not be bound by something and feel the freedom to do whatever I want. but the first thing I want is to become stronger.
'How can I roam the world freely with beautiful girls if I don't have the power to protect them and even myself?'
In my previous life, I was what they called a once-in-a-million prodigy but in this world my talent is trash? how is that acceptable? I was so shocked and stuck standing there for a long time without saying anything.
"Excuse me, are you still want to join our Guild?" Ask the receptionist and felt pity for my faith
'Well, there's no use feeling dejected. I still have the sword techniques that my master gave me. for now, let's join the guild and earn some money. Money is what I needed the most right now. let's think about it the other time.'
"Yes, I want to join the guild" I replied to her
"Then please do the same in this crystal ball. although we already know that your capacity is low, we still need to record it." said the receptionist
Then I put my hand in the capacity crystal ball and flow my magic. it did the same just like earlier. but this time something happened, the crystal ball suddenly broke after the light is gone. The receptionist has a surprised expression on her face. The receptionist did not move or even say anything for a while. she only looked at the crystal ball.
"Excuse me miss, are you alright?" I asked her
The receptionist snapped in her trance.
"Ah, Ehem. Excuse me, sir. I will talk to Guild Master first." said the receptionist
The receptionist suddenly run upstairs and went to the office of the Guild Master.
"Guild Master! Guild Master!"
"Yes, what is it, Kiara? why you look so flustered?" asked the old man
The receptionist's name was Kiara. while the old man is standing and looking outside the window. there is an office table with a chair in the room, there's a lot of documents on the table. in front of the office table, there are two long sofas, placed on the left and right sides.
"Guild Master! There is a young man who wants to join the guild and when we tried to test his magic capacity, the crystal ball suddenly broke. this is the first time that it happened." Kiara said
The old man had white hair and had a kind look on his face. He was wearing a black sleeveless tuxedo and white undershirt with a necktie. He looks around 70 years old. The old man looks at Kiara with a shocked expression on his face.
"What? really? it looks like there is a monster in this small city. The only reason the crystal ball will break is that." he paused for a while and smiled
"Because the crystal ball can't measure his magic power capacity." said the old man with a smile on his face
"But how is that possible?" said the receptionist has confused look on her face
"Hmm? what is it?" asked the old man
"Because he only has 1 Attribute and its fire." said the receptionist
The old man that had been smiling all this time suddenly froze. his eyes opened widely and aggressively asked Kiara.
"What? Are you telling the truth?" Ask the old man while holding Kiara in both of her shoulders and shake her
"Ye- yes. that's why I'm confused. if his magic power capacity is so high, that even the crystal ball can't measure it. then his one attribute doesn't make any sense. this is the first time I see something like this. also, Grand Master! ugh Please stop shaking me I felt dizzy" Kiara said
"Oh! Ehem. I'm sorry about that. I was so excited that I forgot my position."
He removes his hands from her. then he sat down on the office chair.
"Kiara. You're wrong about what you said, that it didn't happen. it did happen a long time ago. I can't blame you that you don't know about it. because it happened million years ago."
The Guild Master said while remembering something.
