Chapter 14: It's all over now
After All Might decided the last two teams' roles, a large screen lit up with the following display.
Villains: Team I (Gojo Yousuke and Ibara Shiozaki) VS
Heroes: Team J (Shishikura Seiji and Sekigai Kashiko)
'Finally! I was waiting for this forever!' though Yousuke, who was excited to test his power against other hopeful heroes.
The teen looked at his teammate, Shiozaki Ibara. The girl was of medium height, and had what appeared to be thorn-covered vines growing out of her scalp instead of hair. She also had two vines going over her forehead in the shape of a cross, but whether that was some reference to something, Yousuke didn't know. He supposed he'd have some time to chat with the girl since they were the villain team. Especially about her suit. It... wasn't much.
As for the hero team, he didn't know much about either of them. He knew Shishikura could control his own flesh, and he and Shinso sort of... clicked. As for the girl, Sekigai, he had no idea about her quirk since she didn't seem to use it in the quirk apprehension test, but her hero costume had something that looked like a large box on her back.
Yousuke snapped out of his reverie when he heard All Might say that they could go to the building. He nodded to the vine-haired girl, something the girl took as a signal to walk with him to the building.
On their way to the building, which wasn't very far, Yousuke spoke up.
"Hey, so, my quirk can make spheres from any part of my body, and what they can do is basically manipulate things around them, control others' movements, but only with very simple things, and I can just shoot them since they can be pretty fast. However, I'd like to avoid that if I can. What about you?" he asked.
One might wonder why is he doing this outside, instead of waiting until they're in the building where they could properly formulate a plan. Well, it was because the hero team would wait in the waiting room, where there were all those huge screens displaying everything that was going on in the building, until the villain room reached the bomb room, where they'd go outside to allow the villain team some time to plan. As they were, this conversation between Yousuke and Shiozaki would remain private.
Shiozaki either didn't realize what Yousuke's intentions were, because as a devout christian she'd definitely be against not giving the hero team the obvious advantage by knowing their quirks, like all the villain teams before, or she knew but kept quiet. Either way, the girl didn't ponder for long before she replied.
"I can lengthen and manipulate the vines," she said, demonstrating that by taking a stray vine in her hand and making it long enough to reach the ground, then wrapping it around her waist. "I can also detach them at will, but it'll take some time to grow them back inside that building."
"Alright, so..."
The two kept discussing their plan before entering the building, at which point they stopped that in favor of making small chat, like two normal teens.
"UA must be really rich to afford using entire cities for each class." commented Yousuke, idly touching a wall with his hand.
"We have Cementoss as the teacher for Modern Literature." said Shiozaki.
"That makes sense."

The horn blared once, declaring that the hero team could enter the building. The two heroes stepped inside the building, with Shishikura taking the lead, walking cautiously towards the staircase at the end of the corridor, while Sekigai removed the large box from her back, immediately turning into a decently-sized drone. The girl looked into the holographic display that appeared on her left hand. Through it, she could see Yousuke and Shiozaki as they sat in the bomb room, the image appearing as if it was from a camera on a wall.
"Do you see anything around us?" asked Shishikura, his small eyes darting from one side of the hall to the other. The purple-haired teen had cautiously made 4 of his fingers float behind him, which were massively enlarged, to the point that they were larger than the teen's head. "I have a bad feeling about this."
"They're not moving. And I can't see anything here." said Sekigai, having checked their surroundings by targeting Shishikura with her quirk.
Meanwhile, in the bomb room, Yousuke was lying down on the floor, while Shiozaki busied herself with praying.
'She's religious, alright.' thought the teen.
At that point, he felt something, so he jumped up to his feet.
"Finally! Shiozaki, you're up!" he exclaimed.
The ones watching from outside the building were confused. Just what could have happened to excite Yousuke like that? But they soon got their questions answered.
One moment the hallways were nice and empty, and the other they were all filled with spikes and columns that came straight out of the walls. The heroes were almost hit a few times when dodging the parts of the walls that came to attack them. But they hadn't been hit, almost as if...
"Watch out!" cried out Shishikura, having figured out the villains' plan just a second too late.
Immediately after that, a large cluster of appeared from the floor, fully intent on ensnaring the two from the hero team. Far too quick for the two, the heroes were wrapped in vines, and thus the match was declared finished, much to the shame of both Shishikura and Sekigai.
