Chapter 10: Teiko's performance, Part 2

The rest of Teiko's team was not inferior to Akashi Seijuro in their ways.

If Akashi Seijuro was the technical support of the team, then the captain, Nijimura Shuzo, was the mental support of the group who could reign in the team made of little monsters.

If Inoue Tomoya from Kamizaki Middle School could barely hold down a first-year Aomine Daiki, then a first-year Aomine Daiki could barely hold Nijomura Shuzo.

Nijimura Shuzo was no doubt the best power forward in the league. As the power forward, Nijimura has a very swift and powerful drive. Reaching inside to the basket, he is also seen switching to passing and swinging it to the free man. His drives are really robust competent enough to easily maneuver through anyone.

Nijimura is a calm and collected individual but a severe upperclassman who is not afraid to speak his mind, he didn't hesitate to beat up Haizaki Shogo when he suspected Haizaki to skip matches.

Currently, he was the greatest player on Teiko's team and had strong command over the team as their captain.

Shin: "Aone-san wouldn't be able to handle him, he is good; only Otsubo-san would be able to stop him in the paint."

Next was Midorima Shintaro a hardworking person who did all he could then and then left the rest to fate. When it came to his shooting, Midorima hasn't developed he came to shooting, Midorima hasn't developed his high-arc shooting style currently, he was only able to shoot from the three-point line but that didn't mean that he didn't have his perfect accuracy, Midorima Shintaro didn't miss.

Being the second tallest member of the miracles, and the third tallest member of current Teiko's team, he was good at blocking and was nimble enough to leave his mark at a moment's notice.

Midorima was different from the rest. He never stopped practicing and still valued its importance. When later on, Generation of Miracles would make a bet on getting the most points in a game, he would not participate because all he wanted to do is fulfill his role. He went along with the situation as long as they were winning, although it annoyed him. The other fact that shows that he differs from other the Genration of Miracles is that so far, he is the only one who has had the guts to stand up against Akashi.

Shin: 'If we have to stop Midorima, we need to have a tight mark on him or else he will skip away and do damage."

The next two were the ones that Shin was worried about the most. One had the vastest natural talent for basketball, and the other wasn't confined by the traditional or any form of basketball at all.

Murasakibara Atushi was the tallest player on the team and he was the tallest player first- year in middle school he stood at 186 cm, and Shin was pretty sure that Otsubo would have to give his best to keep up with Murasakibara.

With Murasakibara's arms and legs being especially long, this allows home to take giant steps to catch up easily and block a shot. He can also tower above all the team's centers and catch the rebound easily. Not only is Murasakibara capable of blocking and rebounding, but he can also contribute to the offensive plays.

The current Murasakibara was not arrogant; even though he was lazy, he did ample enough on the court to not upset anyone. This meant that the current Murasakibara contribute to both offense and defense.

Currently, he was the only member of the team who could dunk.

Currently, Murasakibara was the worst opponent for Shin, Murasakibara was much taller and stronger than Shun, and in a game, that height and power could do serious damage.

Next was the prince from the streets, Aomine Daiki, the man with an ever-changing flexible stretball style.

Aomine began playing streetball before receiving any type of training. It was seen that he often played Momoi, revealing how they were childhood friends. As he grew up, he began to play against streetballers. This was the development of his ever-changing flexible streetball.

Aomine learned to play basketball on the streets without lessons, so while not possessing the basic movements of basketball play, it is said that Aomine never has a non-changing movement, be it passing, dribbling, or shooting. His play is described as limitless. It's extremely difficult to guard him as only a handful of players could keep up with him.

He is very fast, agile, and powerful which enables him to get past even the strongest of defensive-minded players.

Currently, Aomine play was restricted and that restriction was his body, even if he had the potential to have an unpredictable playing style, he was not able to showcase that unpredictability.

His other ability, is the control of his animal instinct., with his instincts compared to that of a panther. This enables him to play purely on feeling, and greatly enhance his five senses, making his reflexes and speed top notch.

Shin: "I am not worried about Aomine no matter how tricky his play is I would be able to react to it. Hurray to God-Speed Impulse. Though his speed would be a little handful."

Lastly, there was Kuroko Tetsuya, the Phantom Sixth Man. The mutant of Teiko

Though Kuroko is fairly weak, his talents allow him to play a central role in any team. Possessing a superbly observant eye in addition to his ability to blend in invisibly to any environment, Kuroko can perform imperceptible passes and virtually unstoppable steals, getting the ball to and between his teammates faster than opponents can react. His near-invisibility makes him highly susceptible to on-court injuries, however. Further, his talent is not effective indefinitely. If he is left in play too long, opponents grow used to his misdirection tactics; as such, he must be placed on the bench at varying points in any match to prevent this.

Kuroko is naturally hard to notice so he developed a playing technique using that "invisibility". He simply behaves as if another player will get the ball and not him. Plus, he tries as much as possible to not show emotions to reduce his already weak presence. He pushes the opponents to focus their attention on someone else and then steps in unexpectedly. When the opponent can't see him, it is much easier to steal the ball. He is also a master of Misdirection, which allowed him to reduce his presence even more.

Following his misdirection, Kuroko uses himself as a relay for passes and redirects the ball to another player by just gently touching it. He receives the ball from another and immediately changes its course to a free player. This pass is very hard to predict and almost always leads to a basket.

The true form of this is a tap pass, which allows Kuroko to change the direction of the ball without touching the ball for a long period. This is the only type of pass that works well with his misdirection because of minimum contact with the ball.

And lastly was, Haizaki Shogo.

Just like Shin, Haizaki can copy other people's moves; but instead of amplifying its power, he's disturbing the rhythm and pace behind the move. This leads to confusion and uneasiness with the opponent, preventing the stolen move from being executed properly. Haizaki does not simply copy moves, he steals them.

Despite being able to steal his moves, he is unable to steal any moves from the Generation of Miracles, or for that matter. His distortion of others' rhythm seems to be temporary as players get their moves back after the game and some practice.

Shin: "Haizaki is troublesome and I have no idea how to stop him from stealing moves. The only way to stop Haiaki would be to always be on his mark and don't let him touch the ball."

Shin: "I should go to sleep I have two games tomorrow and I still have a lot of time to figure out how to stop Teiko."
