Chapter 43: Ow… Nice Door.
{POV Ryuu.}
I actually had a really good night last night. Tasted an amazing drink, met two amazing people, got stabbed, she was nice enough to wrap my leg before I left.
Oh and was able to learn why I was so drawn to Toga.
I called my father and quickly understood why…
And I listened to my fathers laughter for a while the moment I left Blackmists bar. He just laughed.
Yeah turns out it wasn't because of Ancient like I had thought. Rather it seems it is a part of my blood… well my fathers actually. Thinking about it now makes incredible sense, especially when he said he noticed mothers little changes. He even said that was one of the biggest reasons he was so drawn to her. I could even hear my mother laughing in the background of the call.
Awesome talk I guess. Wonder what surprise Mei has for me.
When I got home though and told Mei what happened, Mei also agreed with my parents and thought it was hilarious as she pointed out that I should have noticed it sooner while saying she couldn't wait to meet Toga. Then when I told her I got stabbed she lost it. Then she saw my stab wound she then proceeded laughing while clutching her stomach while on the ground.
"Well it seems to be the norm for now, unless you have already thought of something." I just smiled as I sat in a chair chuckling slightly as it was a wild sort of event. But it was a night I would never forget.
"Already ahead of you Ryuu, question, do you like needles?" Mei asked with a slight smile as she stopped laughing while she started to stretch and walk towards me.
"I'm not too fond of them, but… ow. When did I start becoming a science experiment?" Mei just smiled as she took out another needle.
"Oh the first one is for your wound as I've peaked at that book Nezu gave you," Mei smiled as she took a small sample of my blood. "Had some interesting theories in it that I enjoyed. While this one's for research. Now follow me. I have something to show you." Mei had a shameless smile on her face as she put the small sample of blood away in a special container.
Mei smiled softened as she put away the container then started to put on some lite outerwear. I just smiled as I stood up and followed.
It didn't take long for us to reach the front gates of, U.A. High. As we arrived, Tsuyu seemed to be waiting at the gates with a bright smile on her face as she noticed our arrival. I even noticed that she had a couple of bags with her as well.
Oh the fortress must be complete, that is a nice surprise and why does Tsuyu have bags? And why are you giggling Mei.
This has been a great night so far, I shouldn't fret about the small things and just enjoy the moment and rest of the night. I am a little tired though.
"Tsuyu look, he got stabbed!!" Mei yelled out laughing as she rushed to Tsuyu. "And why are you waiting outside? Did they not let you in?"
Tsuyu just smiled as she shook her head. "That's kinda normal, Mei. And I just got here, why have they been giving you trouble with getting in lately?" Tsuyu questioned with a smirk as she placed her bags on the ground.
Mei smiled as she embraced Tsuyu. "They wouldn't dare, and if they do, just kick them in the shin real hard and run. Works for me all the time."
They both laughed as I shook my head and smiled as I picked up Tsuyu's bags. We were easily able to get into the school grounds because of the special pass that Nezu gave me. Mei was rather quick to make a few copy's while also enhancing them. She even made special copies for my parents in case they ever wanted to visit.
I gotta say the territory Nezu gave me was something else. Had a natural defense thanks to the mountains and forests. The walls protecting the fortress blended and worked with the mountains making it a death trap. While the forest was made for hunting, Ancient I missed that. That and I wanted to capture some beasts of my own for security purposes… that and I want to wrestle a bear, maybe a tiger, something big.
But when we arrived at the entrance to the fortress I was in awe, nevermind this is the best surprise. I barely heard Mei and Tsuyu giggle slightly, as I felt them look at my face.
"Mei you really are the best, you know that right." I smiled as I started to thoroughly take in the detail of the gate. It wasn't bright or colorful, it looked like solid iron or something stronger. There was even a symbol that was made in great detail in the center of the gate.
An ancient looking battle ax that had a dragon wrapped around its base and was crossed with a regal looking dark cane with a centipede wrapping around the cane. They were both laid on top of an ancient looking and battered shield.
A manly tear rolled down my face as love started to spread throughout my body. But I also felt that something very familiar was about to happen but I ignored the feeling as I wanted to enjoy the work of art in front of me.
I didn't even notice when Mei and Tsuyu started to enter as the gates opened and they started to walk through. I was still in adoration from the crest that I was only able to come back to when I heard the gates doors had closed.
"Ryuu, try breaking the door," I heard Meis lovely voice from a speaker. "It's the only way I'm able to register you into the system as I wasn't able to do it with normal methods."
It's a nice door though? It's a good door.
"Ribbit, give it your best shot Ryuu! Try both hands, maybe that'll break it," Tsuyu cheered as she shouted out after Mei. I even heard Tsuyu giggle after which made me laugh.
"But, it's a good door. It's such an amazing door. Why? Can't, you just let me in and make another door just like it. It's such a good door." I countered with logic and reason in my voice. But I also knew Mei wasn't going to budge as I did kinda walk right into this.
I really didn't want to break the door but I just sighed and put Tsuyus bags down. I slowly walked up to the door, got in a ortadox boxing stance while I prepared to throw a simple one-two against the door.
I slowly started to infuse my hands with the level of mastery I had with my war energy which is currently ten percent.
It was a lot harder than I thought when I tried to master that percentage. In order to master it at ten percent I had to deal with an added addition of a deep and sundering rage alongside the heaviness.
My mind felt a clarity within the rage when it happened as I felt many things start to make sense the best was the increase in strength as I felt it increase to a peak enhanced level.
Luckily those three Nomus won't be missed; they were dead anyway.
When I was all set and ready I quickly threw a perfected one-two as the sound of grinding metal echoed. The door didn't even shake or move showing Mei's masterful craftsmanship.
But underneath that loud metal grinding sound two other sounds echoed out also as only I was able to hear them. But I wasn't paying attention to my broken hands. As I was more interested in the two fist prints I made on the door. Not even the horrible pain my hands were feeling was enough to break my attention. Not even when they opened.
Meis laughter did though.
"There we go all done. So did you break your hands Ryuu!?" Mei had a shameless smile on her face as she was messing with a tablet before putting it away, but the look I saw in her eyes held love.
Mei even went and grabbed Tsuyu's bags as she didn't wait for an answer.
"Yes, but what was the door made of? I was barely able to dent the door, how much of this do we have?" I smiled as I asked Mei as she ran past with a smile I recognized. Then my smile started to soften as I felt Tsuyu had started to softly wrap one of my hands as she softly asked a question.
"Want to go to the mall with me tomorrow, Ryuu. The whole class is going before our summer trip." Tsuyu started to blush a little when she asked as she continued to wrap my broken hand.
"I'd love to go to Tsuyu, ribbit," I responded back softly as I started to smile and kissed the top of Tsuyus head as I watched her face start to turn red. "I love you Tsuyu."
Tsuyu's eyes started to turn into crescents as she slowly lowered her head as she briefly paused wrapping my hand.
"I love you too Ryuu, ribbit." Tsuyu softly whispered as she continued to wrap my hands with the most beautiful smile on her face.
Mei had a mischievous smile on her face as she arrived with Tsuyu's bag. But when she saw Tsuyu's face her smile turned soft as she started to help wrap my other hand with practiced ease.
"You are definitely my Breaker of Hands, my Empress. I love you Mei." I said softly as I leaned down and kissed the top of Meis head.
"I love you Ryuu, now let's all of us head to bed. Tsuyu and I will give you the grand tour tomorrow. But for now let's get some sleep. Oh, did Tsuyu tell you about her battle for the test…"
Mei started to ask questions when my hands were both wrapped as we all headed inside the fortress to rest for the night.
