Chapter 2: Ch. 1 - Pandora

I woke up. But not under the gray ceiling of my empty house. It's the curling of my Space room, which was only two feet across, and a foot and a half tall, barely enough to fit anyone. But it does.

My 'room' starts sliding backwards, up, down, or forwards, I don't know. In space, direction is pretty irrelevant. I look up to the face of the man who opened my pod, as he explains that it's time to get ready to leave. Pandora is only an hour away. It's been five years, nine months, and twenty two days.

I was only twenty-seven when I left. I guess I'm thirty-two now, but it doesn't really matter, all considering. when I managed to get to the bay, there was my wheel-chair, not looking any worse for wear considering it's now reaching it's tenth year, but that doesn't exactly cheer me up.

"Jake Sully, I'd like you to follow me before you get on the ship to Pandora with the other grunts.", said a weird looking man, and it seemed like no one even noticed him. Personally, I feel like I've seen weirder, but it was weird nonetheless. I followed him anyways.

We got to an empty room, in which the man turned around, revealing my three items I brought with me, which brought a bit of shock to my face, considering they were in the pants I was wearing just seconds ago.

"Before you speak, just act like nothing happened when you leave. I, am a God. And before you say anything again, there are many Gods. I am just one. But I came to give you a gift.", said the man, before he placed his hand on my chest. Right then, new knowledge was born in the shared mind of the Being and I. A knowledge that will allow me to make things easier, and something else I can't describe.

"You'll find out what that is in due time, Jake. I wish you the best of luck in your new goal. Oh, and Eywa can listen and see your experiences when you connect with her. You need not worry about Grace.", the man said, before disappearing immediately, with a smile.

<==============================================>

I was on the ship, surrounded by more hired hands. Not that I don't trust these guys, but these guys probably are only in it for the money, and most likely won't care they are killing the indigenous people, until they are close up.

Hopefully I can minimize losses on both sides, but I doubt it. That's when I was shaken by one of the other hired hands, and when I turned to look at him, he showed me a smile. This is a little weird considering it didn't happen in the memories.

"Hey, you doing okay, Bro? I know some marines who lost limbs and it isn't easy to keep going for them without prosthetics. I gotta admit, I was impressed when you rolled in, Hot Rod.", the guy chuckled, and strangely this guy didn't give off any sort of experienced air about. Maybe the innocent look gave it away, but this guy is probably a newbie. Maybe I can try and make some friends on the Human side, and bring them onto my side...

"Yeah I'm good, thanks. Name's Sully. Jake Sully.", I say, shaking the guys hand, and even his grip is pathetic, this kid's going to need some training.

"Name's Louie. Louie Ferguson, and I was eighteen when I left Earth. You?", the kid asks, smiling still, not noticing most of the others joking around about young blood.

"I was Twenty-seven. It's nice to meet you Louie. Do you know how to shoot a gun?", I asked, curious, considering not many young kids like him are brought on board.

"I trained using my Grand-Father's old relic of a gun, a Twenty Two. When I was brought on, I got to use one of the newer guns , but my shooting and aiming were considered mediocre. Don't know why I was accepted on here, but hey, who am I to complain about visiting Space, and getting away from Earth?", the kid asked, looking troubled, but I decided not to pry.

"I see-", I began, but was interrupted by one of the Colonel's, the one from the memories. Good thing I was quicker than before, I wouldn't appreciate being called a 'Special Case'.

When I got out and rolled inside the building that Colonel Quaritch resided in currently, I was greeted by at least fifty people surrounding said Colonel. I stayed in the back, although this time, I was joined by Louie, who sat next to me.

I didn't pay him much mind though, I don't want to get the kid in trouble, punishment is always rough in the army for newbies. An hour long lecture later explaining the many things that can kill you outright, or get you killed later, Louie and the rest left, and as Louie waved goodbye, Colonel Quaritch strolled up.

Things went pretty much as they did in the memories, and shortly there after, I was rolling to the Science corner of the place, finally getting close to three of the people I will protect, one who I will save. Grace. Max. Norm.

The door opened, and I was let in, my sights being set on the said three people, my determination in my heart burning bright. I may not be a Na'vi yet, but nothing will stop me to accomplish my goals.
