Chapter 70: Here comes the boom

With the crew loaded up and ready to go I'm back inside with Cynthia and Anna double checking that they have everything they need….we're just bringing food in case we are there for longer than expected, some healing ointments, stuff for a short trip that seemed reasonable to bring
" ready girls? Big day today, meeting a guardian snorlax and his fam, and I'm going to ask again.... You're sure you want to come?" I asked the last part with actual seriousness…
The girls seemed pretty set on this, I'd rather go alone honestly as to no over complicate things if anything goes wrong but again, they insisted on coming and I'm not just letting them come because I'm a push over, it's to save the headache of how annoying I could see them being if I didn't let them come…..I don't deal with pouting women well…. I would probably tell 'em to grow up or fuck off and it could lead to my little fuck buddies doing just that and me having to actually work for pussy again….not worth the risk….
"We're coming and that's final….if this would work out it could be a huge development for the kingdom and to see it first hand? Why wouldn't we want to come?" Cynthia spoke with a firm voice
"Fine but I'm warning you now…..I'm not some gallant knight who would throw away his life for you if shit goes south….I've stated I wanted to do this alone and you insisted on coming, so again if shit goes south and my backs against the wall I WILL abandon you without hesitation to save myself and my mons if I had to choose…..so keep quiet through this whole thing…..you're a spectator not a participant in this….. and if for what ever reason something happens you don't agree with….continue to keep quiet…..because if your interference fucks this up somehow I will also abandon you....do you understand?" I had to be serious with these 2, I've seen far to many movies and books where the "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" mouth off their own uppity opinions and fuck up the whole situation….. and the actual person involved is left holding the bag...…I'm not playing games with that shit.
They seemed to pale a little a that starting to realise this isn't some brisk walk through the woods...we're heading the somewhere they call "dead man's land" in a world full of giant magics animals that could wipe humanity out with little to no effort if they decided too, so a name like that would carry some weight…..
As I said I didn't want them coming and they insisted, I like them but not enough to fuck this up and keep them around…..so this is on them…..
But they still decided to tag along for what ever reason and so we all head outside to find my metagross waiting for us…..from what I got from him he's going to take us near a forest where the snorlax live and not directly into their home….smart….probably an hours walk if we hustled...I also made sure the girls aren't wearing dresses and uncomfortable shoes….they are both and blue long trousers and a long white shirt and some "hiking" boots I "invented"….wearing shorts in unknown wilderness would just be stupid….all sorts of parasitic bugs and shit till exist in this world….so gotta cover up….
So we huddle up and move near metagross and give him a nod and the next second I feel a pull and now we are in what looks like a rainforest and I immediately let out bell and houndoom….. we're in dead man's land so I was taking no chances….. Rhyperior was to big and clunky to move around a rainforest and gyarados needs no explanation…I also let out shuckle, he's hit elite level in his months of training and he can move around in a forest just fine….
So metagross starts floating and beckons us to follow him, and so we do...from the looks of it we are heading south west…but the first is so thick its hard to see the sun...
We've been moving for about half an hour before Cynthia lets out a whine " can we take a quick break….I'm so hooooot….it's so muggy….. and it's draining me so fast...can you please hand me some water Anna I'm parched…."
Anna faithfully pulls out a small waterskin for Cynthia to quench her thirst while she sits on a large root of a tree….. and Anna sits next to her and takes out another skin to take a sip…and after she finishes she lets us know her observations from our little trek " phewwwww...it's kind of strange I was expecting to see maybe a few more Pokémon around during our walk, I wonder why that is.."
"I'd say that would be houndoom and gengar doing their jobs... as you've probably seen in our time here that houndoom has been trekking off on his own? Well that's him going to...gently persuade....any mons in our path or vicinity that it would be best to keep some distance…..and gengar is handling the sneakier ones houndoom misses with some help from metagross who's been scanning constantly" a decent set up I'd say… and even with my aura for body this trek still sucks I'm not really tired just sweating and over it….
But after a few minutes break we're back on the road...or jagged, root infested forest floor….tomato, tomato really...and it's about 10 minutes later of this shitty walk that we come to a small clearing and I see houndoom come back with a snarl and seems to communicate with my other mons….. and metagross sent me mental images of Rhyperior...so I'm guessing he wants me to take him out?…..I obliged him and brought out Rhyperior who just casually looked around and started speaking with the others…..houndoom seems to get revved up ready to kill something as bell gets the same expression….
Ok so through the vibes I'm getting…..a group of Pokémon houndoom went to warn off seemed to tell him to fuck off and that they were going to eat my ass….houndoom wanted to kill them right there and then…..but they had a couple of champion ranked mons….so he didn't want to risk it and came to get some back up…. Cool beans…..
So bell and Rhyperior seem down for a good throw down and take off after houndoom as metagross and gengar stay to keep on eye on us…..
We suddenly hear explosions and yowling coming from quiet a way from across the clearing and it sounds intense but just as it was getting more and more heated I see metagross put up a barrier and suddenly there were 2 massive explosions at the same time that left mushroom clouds...the trees were being smashed sideways by the winds and debris was being thrown at us at insane speeds, but the shield held….
"WHAT WAS THAT!?!?, WHATS GOING ON!?" Cynthia is having a panic attack while Ann's covering her body like she's sacrificing herself…..truely dedicated…..I can respect that..
"Those were hyper beams, 2 of them….I'm pretty confident it was Rhyperior and Houndooms as well…..wonder if it was really necessary or they just really didn't like who ever was at the other end of the beam…." I was never really worried about them, I mean maybe a little but i know they could have gotten away worst care scenario…..and if I felt they were in danger from anything I felt through our link….well…..I have my big fish buddy and his love of being teleported into the middle of "enemy" lines for a blood bath.
It was about 10 minutes after the aftermath of the nukes went off that I seen my mons returning…..houndoom seemed to have blood around his mouth…no his though….same with Rhyperior and his knuckles, legs and horn…..bell? Covered head to toe in blood with an innocent smile on her face….creepy…
They mosey on back with a relaxed gate after their "little" tiff with whatever Pokémon tribe that was…. I'll have to give bell a wash down before we start moving again…..fucking blood from head to toe….I know she could have avoided it…..the little psycho did it on purpose…*sigh*
Cynthia seemed to get her bearings back as she seemed to look at the 3 with some fear "I'm surprised that 2 of your Pokémon can use hyper beam…..I know they are champion ranked and all but not many Pokémon can learn it…..it's power is an army killer, I've only heard of a handful of nobles with Pokémon cable of using it…"
"Yeah, actually almost all of my pokemon can use it….even shuckle….the only one who can't is bellossom….for…..reasons…." There's no way in hell I'd let my favourite little green gal have hyper beam….she has solar beam yes, but it takes a little while to gather energy for that…hyper beam is almost instant…..I wouldn't have time to intercept it if someone set bell off…..which is insanely easy to do…..so no....no hyper beam for bell.
"Alright…bell stand over there and have Rhyperior hose you down…. And Rhyperior make sure to tone it down as much as you can buddy, we don't want to hurt our little gal….."
Rhyperior knows hydro pump so…yeah impromptu hose to clean off bell as she holds her arms out and has a heavily scaled back hydro pump hosing the blood off her as she turns slowly…..
I take a rag and wet it and call over houndoom as I start to clean up the blood on snout and there seems to be some one his paws too, he seemed happy for the attention….
Pokémon are natural born fighters…..all of them…..and I'd say 70% of all Pokémon are always down for a scrap because their goal in life is gaining strength….everything else is just a by product to gain strength....but houndoom and gyarados? Those fellas live for blood and war and seek it out at every opportunity…..and I'm fine with that…..it's just how the world is….and when i say most Pokémon are down for a fight, it's not to the death most of the time…unless it's hunting for food…so I'm wondering what Pokémon decided it was worth pissing off houndoom to the pointed he'd go that far….
And as I am metagross is sending me pictures of a colony of Zangoose being ripped apart by glowed green leaves, crushed by flying boulders and burned to a crisp by inferno like hellfire…..
Those are natural enemies with serviper normally, but are in general just fucking pricks to everyone…..super aggressive and arrogant….basically normal type dragons….
Well it seemed they had 2 champion ranked among them….now there's none, well none left at all really, Pokémon can be just as vindictive as people so I've taught my Pokémon to leave no survivors with shit like this...… it doesn't happen often but it has happened over the years…..I'm sure we missed some who were out hunting or something but we can pick them off later….
So I quickly finished wiping off houndoom and getting him looking as handsome and chipper as always and move on to Rhyperior as he's just finished hosing down bell…
Cynthia is still in shock over learning how many nuclear buttons I actually have and Anna isn't much better…..so I just tell them it's time to forge onwards we would be coming into the snorlax territory soon and need to stay focused….I'm kinda nervous….I wish I didn't bring those two…..I think as I look back at them….
So we were walking for another 30 minutes before metagross stops us and let's me know that he's going to contact their side real quick and teleports away…..
"Where did he go? We would be stuck without him….." Cynthia panicked a little seeing our ride vanish and us being thousands of kilometres deep into heavy Pokémon wilderness with a guardian ranked Pokémon known in the area…
"He's gone to invite the snorlax family down for a chat to see if we can work something out….don't fret to much…..also remember what I said about being quiet….no sudden outbursts during the talks…..alright?" Again had to warn her with some seriousness due to her upbringing being a princes and everyone respecting her and almost worshipping the ground she walked on gave her a bit of an ego…..she doesn't show it much around me and has definitely toned it down even when she does…. But I was serious about leaving her ass here if it came down to me and my mons safety and her own…..so I had to be doubly sure…. And if she fucks this up due to some noble bullshit? ....I don't even know what I'd do….
She just nodded with a serious look and turned to Anna without words to indicate that she do the same...good...
After that metagross teleports back in between us and let's me know they are on their way…..so we sit down for a bit on a tree root and have a few sandwiches while we had some downtime...it was long before we knew they were close as we could hear them…..thundering footsteps…..
*BOOM* *BOOM* * BOOM* *BOOM*
Slowly the ground started shaking as our hosts started to get closer…..and out of the shadow of a tree we saw a bunch of shadows come into view…..all of them about 10-12 feet tall and just as wide, their footsteps shook the ground with every step…..there were 4 snorlax and everyone of them were champion ranked...
And as I was getting my bearings that's when we all hear a high pitched squee behind us....
