"Karen Higgins and Damien Thorne , you're free to go, Bail's been paid" A uniformed officer announced while inserting the key into the lock.

"You two must be the two greatest luckiest bastards ever"The aged cop said unlocking the jail cell .He then hitched his belt up to his waist , clipping the key to his belt loop.

"Any other persons crash two cruisers and drive straight through a police station wouldn't be let up so easily.Must have some guardian angel huh?"

Karen massaged her wrist and grinned.

"Something like that"She smiled as she took a general sweep at Damien's direction.

"So are we free to go, officer or are you gonna keep us here all day?"Damien yawned.The old man gave him an incredulous look like 'Wasnt that what l was telling you just now?'

"I take that as a yes, thank you officer" He intoned flippantly as his eyes were clearly dismissing the officer.The man huffed with his upturned nose eyeing the two and looking disgusted at the duo.
