Chapter 64: 62: Hemokinesis...?

*****

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Well, a belated one I guess...

Anyways, I'M BACK BABY!!!

It's been quite a while, hehe... (*- -)

There are many reasons for that, (busy with school, even almost went to a hospital cause of a friggin' fever...) but mainly I just didn't have the time to write and gradually lost the motivation to.

It's slowly coming back tho. Hope it stays like that, cuz I don't wanna drop this;-;

"Alright, let's get serious," Shinji said, stretching his arms. Several icicles once again formed behind him, but this time, they had increased in both length and width.

His hand shot forward, the ice constructs behind him following suit.

Lukas dodged the ones he could and swallowed the ones he couldn't with his black sludge. That was when Shinji decided to flash him a smug smirk as he pulled his arm back.

The icicles that Lukas dodged all flew back to him when the raven-haired teen pulled his arm back. A couple grazed Lukas with two managing to pierce his sides, drawing a lot of blood from him. Black tendrils then shot out from his back and combined to form one enormous obelisk.

Shinji knew that blocking an attack like that was going to be difficult so, instead of forming an ice wall that was easily going to be pierced through, he instead formed water underneath him, unpredictably sliding around the battlefield.

Lukas clicked his tongue seeing Shinji sliding around him. The obelisk of sludge was simply too large and too heavy to follow Shinji's quick and random movements. He had no choice but to release it toward a wall.

Seeing this, Shinji smirked but also shook his head.

'Sigh, you idiot. He could have aimed it toward the ceiling. At least that would have done something instead of just attacking a f*cking wall.'

As Shinji prepared another attack, he looked at his opponent and he saw a pained yet annoyed frown plastered on his face.

"Hey, d'ya know that you have a very punchable face?" Shinji voiced out.

"The same could be said for you." Lukas retorted, and it was clear in his voice that he was irritated.

'God, I wanna punch his face at least once.' the raven-haired youth thought, sliding towards his opponent with his left fist cocked back.

His fist was slowly being coated with water as he got closer and closer to Lukas, who was preparing himself for any attack.

When Shinji finally got close enough, the water that surrounded his fist instantly turned into ice and attempted to punch Lukas with it.

It was, however, blocked with a wall of sludge but it seems like Shinji predicted this since he quickly released the fist made of ice and slid to the right, revealing another fist of ice.

Lukas tried to extend the wall but it was too late as Shinji's fist connected with his already injured abdomen. He was launched back a few meters and quickly regained his footing before Shinji could try anything more.

Lukas clenched his fist, his frown slowly turning into a smug smirk.

"The f*ck? Did you like being punched?" Shinji asked incredulously. He continued, "Yo, are you secretly a ma-" but stopped when he felt something "splash" on his back.

'What-'

"You thought that my ability could only come out of my body? You ignorant fool. Your biggest mistake during this match was stopping after that punch." Lukas said through gritted teeth from the pain of Shinji's attack, holding his bleeding side.

"Though it is difficult, I can launch my sludge as long as you're within my 10-meter range," he added.

Shinji immediately backed away getting out of Lukas' so-called "range".

The raven-haired teen then clenched his jaw as he felt extreme stinging pain in his back. The surprise attack melted his clothes, showing the spectators the damage.

The injury almost seemed like a burn from acid with the way the skin on Shinji's back appeared red and even started to peel. It slowly showed the muscle underneath his skin.

It was a horrifying scene for all of them.

"Shinji!" "Oppa!" they shouted in worry.

Shinji almost buckled from the excruciating pain. Lukas had a look of triumph, thinking he already won the match.

Shinji looked onward, seeing the smug look from his opponent. But, there was also one more thing he saw. Blood dripped from Lukas' back, shoulder, and leg, all due to his previous attacks.

Seeing the blood, the kneeling adolescent tried to grin through the pain as he clenched his hand.

"Y'know... I was called a Cryomaniac back at the World's Awakened Academy. Wanna know the reason why?" Shinji said haughtily with a pained expression.

Lukas sneered, "I have no interest in an anecdote."

"It's more like a demonstration." the raven-haired teen replied, clenching his hand.

'Why do I feel... warm?' Lukas thought, full of confusion. His body's temperature gradually increased, almost as if his blood was being heated up.

"What- What's happening?!" he suddenly screamed, baffling the onlookers.

He felt his side becoming hotter and hotter. More and more blood dripped from his back as his blood kept heating up.

Lukas screamed in pain. He felt as if he was being boiled inside out. This went on for a few more seconds until it stopped altogether.

"What-?"

Lukas heard Shinji snap and after that snap, the blood instantly became cold. He could see the blood that dripped from his wound start to freeze.

His eyes widened as some of his organs start to fail. He felt a prickling sensation everywhere, coming from the inside of his body.

Lukas looked at Shinji and saw his pained smirk. He tried to attack him, but he physically couldn't. He lost all control of his body. He couldn't even feel his limbs.

Shinji pushed his hand down and Lukas' body was violently slammed onto the ground.

"You-!" he tried to shout but suddenly stopped when his eyes rolled back into his head, blacking out.

"What just happened?!" Jisuk shouted.

"That mister suddenly screamed in pain and... fainted." Jiwoo commented, his face full of worry for Shinji.

'Hemokinesis...?' Inhyuk thought, still in shock.

'Hm, impressive... He could control blood, huh.' an orange cat couldn't help but admit. He then stared deeply at Shinji, pondering about whether he ever met someone with a similar ability like his.

'Bah, who cares.' the cat just shrugged, making his way to Jiwoo.

"S-Shinji wins!" Inhyuk announced.

Got any stones for me?

Shinji secures yet another win under his belt! (And another severe injury, but let's save that for the next chapter, ehe...)
