Chapter 263: Volume 4 - Chapter 4(Entering the world of “Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World”)

The geographic shape of the "Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World" world is that of a flat world similar to a diorama instead of a globe. All four edges of the world end with giant cliffs where water pours down into the abyss below. The endless waters are dubbed the Great Waterfall, which is also regarded as the world's end. The Great Waterfall is, for the most part, visible from the shore. Like Earth, it has a day and night cycle with its own sun and moon. However, it follows the Ptolemaic model in terms of rotation and orientation. Also, like Earth, it runs on a 24-hour period and has four major seasonal climate patterns. Its months consists of at least 25 days. The basic physical laws are generally the same as on Earth.
It is unknown how many landmasses there currently are or were before the "Great Calamity" brought on by the "Witch of Envy" destroyed half of the world and greatly changed the geography of the world. The main story, however, takes place in a large continent that houses four major powers:
· Gusteko to the barren north
· Vollachia to the fertile south
· Kararagi towards the west
· Lugunica occupies the eastern edge of the continent.
Beyond them, there are several smaller kingdoms that surround and sit in between them. They have been noted to have their own cultures and styles of life, which are separate from the known cultural aspects we can observe among the Four Great Nations.
Despite the presence of bodies of water, the world has no actual oceans or large seas, although there are many lakes with rivers and streams feeding into them. The famous Water Gate City of Priestella, for example, was built on one of these tributary lakes. The largest accessible source of water apart from the Great Waterfall comes from the Great Tigracy River, which runs through all Four Great Nations, though most of its path can be traced over the Kararagi and Gusteko's territories. The river itself is so massive that it appears almost like a vast shifting ocean. Though oceans don't exist, some of the world's lakes are saltwater and provide much of the world's salt or equivalent.

Right above "Lifaus Highway" in the sky, Space split apart. An Abyssal dark vortex akin to a mouth of darkness slowly took a shape. The light around the place started to gather around it. This vortex was like a black hole which would devour everything. Once this black hole stilled, Primis walked out.
WHIZ!!!!!
WHOOSH!!!!
Gust of winds that were blowing around hit Primis. His coat was blowing in the wind as his cold eyes swept through everything around. There he saw a huge tree standing so tall that it seemed to pierce through the clouds. The tree was gargantuan enough that it could be seen for miles.
'Primis: Flugel's Tree. Huh.'
[Yeah. The very tree that was used in the plot to defeat "White Whale".]
Primis remained silent. As his mind got preoccupied by some previous conversations.

--- Three Days after the fight with Moltres on uninhabited Island ---
Ophis, Sheng Ming, and Ais were still healing in "Home" world while Primis was currently in "Pet" world. He was standing on the edge of the sole floating Island while looking at the sky. Behind him, Moltres was resting with its eyes closed on the branch of Fire tree. At some distance away from Moltres location, there was a 5-meter dome made of light. Inside the dome, Misdreavus could be seen sleeping and recovering.
???: You have been standing here like this for the last three days.
Primis didn't turn and kept on looking in the distance. Hearing no response, the being approached him and stood at his side.
???: Something's bothering y----
Primis: Kyubey.
Kyubey: Hmm? What is it?
The being or Incubator Kyubey titled its head and looked at Primis face which was devoid of any emotions.
Primis: You are connected with your fellow Incubators, right.
Kyubey: Yes. You know that too.
Primis: Yeah. Just want to confirm. If you want to travel to a different world, how would you do that?
Kyubey: Ohhhh. So, you want to travel to a different world. Can't you do that yourself?
Primis: ...
Primis turned and stared at it.
Kyubey: Alright. Don't look at me like this, I will speak.
Primis: Go on.
Kyubey: It's about connection. If I want to change and go to another world, then the me and the Incubator present in that world will form a connection between two points, A and B. Next, both of us will switch places.
Primis: Switch places?
Kyubey: Yeah, switch places. We made are connection like this. In this way, even if I left this world, another Incubator will still be here to notify us if those sorts of humans with system will come.
Primis: I see.
Kyubey: You want to go to another world. Or should I say Worlds.
Primis: Yeah.
Kyubey: Not possible. Switching places with our other selves only applied to us. We can't take anyone else with us.
Primis: That's not a problem. When you both switched places, a small black hole or worm hole would have established, even for a faction of second. That second is more than enough for me to find the co-ordinates and teleport myself in that world.
Kyubey: ......Interesting. That's possible. However, just like you said, you merely have that faction of second to not only read the co-ordinates but also teleport yourself.
Primis: I will accomplish that.
Kyubey: I see. By the way, if you don't mind can you tell me why you want to travel to other worlds?
Primis didn't reply for a few seconds before opening his mouth.
Primis: Let me give you some important information.
Kyubey: Ohh. I am listening.
Primis: A strongest God has been born. That God want to rule all the Worlds in existence. However, as a strongest God he can't enter low, medium, and High-level worlds. He can only remain in the God Realm. Because if he tried to do so then his mere presence could destroy that world. So, he thought of a different approach. And that is to choose some specific people from other worlds who he/she deemed to have potential to become strong.
Kyubey: Could these people be "Invaders"?
Primis: Exactly. These invaders were then given the missions. If they succeed, then they will receive rewards. If fail, then they will receive penalties.
Kyubey: In a way, that God is making his army.
Primis: Correct. So, then a thought struck my mind. Since he or she can make army then why can't I do the same.
Kyubey: I see. You also planned to raise your own army by choosing the people of another worlds.
Primis: Exactly.
Said Primis before stretching his hand forward and making a fist.
Primis: A Guild.
Kyubey: Now that would be interesting.
'Primis: Well, the main reason he or she wanted to rule the worlds is because he wants to absorb all the power present in this Group. From what I have concluded, his main objective is to become strong enough to kill the Wächter.'
Primis: Anyway, which world is close to this world, and you can go?
Kyubey: Let's see. From what I know the closest world provides something called "Divine Protection" by an entity called Od Lugana. Do you want to g----
Primis: Rejected.
Kyubey: Huh? Why?
Primis: Because that's one of the worlds where the current me could easily die.
Kyubey: ...
Primis: ...…
Kyubey: ...
Primis: ...…
Kyubey: ...
Primis: ...…
Kyubey: Seriously?
Primis: Yes.
Kyubey: You are a God like me. How can you die in that world?
After remaining silent for some time, Primis spoke.
Primis: There's a human in that world that can kill me.
Kyubey: Human, who can kill you? Are you kidding?
Primis: No, I am not.
Kyubey: That's impossible. No human can kill God. The difference between a Human and God is that of an ant crawling on the ground and dragon flying high in the sky. There's no way that Humans can kill a God.
Primis: Yeah, it's impossible 99.9% of time. But the situation is slightly different here.
Kyubey: How so?
Primis: That human is not that powerful himself. He is even weaker than a normal grown man. However, he possessed an ability which can kill me.
Kyubey: What is it?
Primis: The power of "Return by Death".
Kyubey: "Return by Death". You mean resurrection of some sort.
Primis: If it was just resurrection then it won't be problem. However, there is more to it.
Kyubey: Hoh.
Primis: This ability allows that human to return to an unspecified, unpredictable, and uncontrollable "save point", that was set some time before his death. It happens instantly after his life was taken, there's no lag between the point of death and the point of resurrection, and there is no known limit to how many times that human can "Return by Death", making this ability an effective way of permanently bypassing death.
Kyubey: So, that's how it is. Now I understand why you say this ability can kill you.
Primis: Mn. As my pet and God, you must have realized that I don't exist in any time axis. Neither past nor future nor in any other parallel world. Only in a present.
Kyubey: I see. Let's think of time as a line with two points A and B. Suppose you start walking from point A and was about to or reached point B. However, that human died. At that time, the entire world will rewind back to point A.
Primis: Correct. And because I didn't exist in that time axis, the entire world will rewind except me. This means I will be in a place where space and time didn't exist. Like void.
Kyubey: This will result in two outcomes. Either you will fall into the river of time and will perish. Or the void will devour you whole.
Primis: Exactly. That's why I said I can't go into that world. In case I want to then I must have mastery in time.
Kyubey: This makes sense.
[Sorry to change the topic Primis but I must tell you something.]
'Primis: What?'
[Only with the help of my functions can you travel to other worlds without any problem. By using Kyubey's help only you 'alone' can go to other worlds. You will be fine because you possessed "Origin Force", but not your other members. They will appear just like other "Invaders" to the world.]
'Primis: You don't have to worry about it. I planned to go on my own.'

In other words, he definitely planned to return before those six months passed. That means almost 15 years, he is giving himself to gather the people for his Guild and return.'

Kyubey: Um. I just received information from my felow Incubator who is currently monitoring Pokémon world.
Primis: Hmm. What is it?
Kyubey: It seems like Invaders from the same group as those who had Moltres tried to catch a Mythical Pokémon. However, before they can capture it, another "Mythical Pokémon, Mew" came and helped it. Next, they both tried to escape. Mew opened a portal which it itself didn't know where it would lead them to before jumping inside it. And now that Mythical Pokémon is in that world of Od Lugana. If you make that pokémon your own just like Moltres, you can prevent your death.
Primis: Which Mythical Pokémon is it?
Kyubey: The name of that pokémon is...…

Primis opened his eyes. Moving his gaze away from the Flugel's Tree, he looked at horizon of this "Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World" before murmuring.
Primis: Celebi. Huh.
Then he glanced at the side where a new Twilight prompt had appeared.
[Time before the start of the plot: 3-Days, 09-minutes, 15-seconds.]
