Chapter 12: The Apocalypse Child

At the outskirts of Vale, a lone child with long blond ponytail hair with green eyes. In his Overseer outfit, he wears a purple jacket with a white shirt inside, white gloves, a brown belt, gray pants and brown boots. Contrary to his innocent looks, his mannerisms seem to be that of a Wiseman, thirsting for more knowledge.

Currently, he is documenting his findings as well as what looked to be a large black horse with a mane of black smoke. They have the typical white bone-like features of the Creatures of Grimm around their face, ribcage and legs. Their forelegs have two-fingered claws and have hooved hind legs that leave a distinctive hoofprint. This young lad effortlessly ensnared with chains that glint sharply everywhere you look, and a golden cross where the chains sprouted.

"Interesting, Interesting. Truly a marvelous creature you are. The more I learn from this world, the more interesting it becomes. Grimms, Hunters, Dust, Semblance, Aura. Wouldn't you say the same?"

He asked the Grimm groaning in pain while he gleefully wrote on top of his Golden Cross.

"I would like to keep you alive for further research but sadly, letting you run rampant would destroy other materials for analysis." He places his pen in his notebook and raises his right hand. "So this is goodbye. It was fun while it lasted."

Golden spears emerged from the Cross and flew out and towards the Grimm. Skewering it endlessly till it's nothing but holes. No scream or suffering was displayed. It looked to be that this Grimm had accepted his fate. He opened his notebook again to write it down. The Grimm turns into ash and flutters away by the wind of the night.

"PS: the Grimm has a general understanding of the inevitable." After his short lived finding, The child closed his notes and stared at the cover. "It needs a name. Every researcher's documented findings must have a name. How about this?"

He scribbles on the space provided by the Book.

"The Journal of Apocalypse by Otto Apocalypse."

The smile he bore while he wrote suddenly dimmed as reality settled in. With his task in saving Kallen has been accomplished, he no longer has a reason to go back. Even if he did, no one would welcome him. The atrocities that he committed were beyond the boundaries of sin. Whoever this sick God is that gave him a chance to live again is by far the cruelest joke he has ever experienced.

"Kallen... I hope you're alright." He pondered, staring at the night sky.

Back at Suther and Sung Jin Woo, they are at a local bar, listening to the performers on the stage. The setting couldn't be more appropriate. They were both wearing tuxedos that differ from their hair color. The four of them were celebrating a new addition to the staff, that being Sung Jin Woo. Glynda was opposed to this kind of celebration since it is still the start of the semester yet they did so regardless of its risks to their schedule. Admittedly, she could just not join them, but considering how irresponsible he becomes when drunk, Glynda has to accompany him.

"A toast for our new faculty member, Sung Jin Woo." Ozpin declared cheerfully with a glass raised. "As well as the wellbeing and prosperity of our academy 'till forever more."

Beside Ozpin is Glynda sitting on a chair while pinching her temple.

"Forgive him for making this such a big deal sir Sung." She lets off a sigh of stress. "Headmaster simply made things a bit too extravagant for a commemoration."

"No need." The Shadow Monarch replies. "This is a new experience for me and I want to savor it."

Sitting beside him is none other than Suther himself. He commented on the occasion. "Oh, really? I didn't expect you to be a person who enjoys events like this."

"I also didn't expect a stalemate in our battle. To think you have that much power." Sung Jin Woo praised.

"Of course. Time can be a cruel teacher when you live alone."

"That I couldn't agree more." He mused to him. His words seem to be eye to eye with their experiences.

Glynda asks the two of them. "Say, do you two have plans to leave the Academy?"

Sung Jin Woo replied. "None that I can think of. Although I still have a debt to pay to Suther for introducing me to your peerage."

Suther answered next. "Unlike him, I do have plans to leave the school but I don't think that'll happen sooner or later. Why'd you ask us that?"

"Nothing, just curious." She said as naturally as she could to hide her worry but the beat of her heart betrays her words.

As the two conversed again while Ozpin gave his short speech, Glynda was sensing a sort of bond between them. Almost like they're fated to meet each other. Two beautiful men, wearing fancy clothes, all the while enjoying their company. She couldn't help but watch them relish the night like a mother to their children. As Ozpin continued blabbering his speech for the future, her mind was elsewhere.

She could hear them calling her name yet she said nothing.

"Professor Glynda?" Suther said to the dazed professor.

"Professor Glynda!" He called again to no avail.

"Hold a minute." Sung Jin Woo placed his hand close to her face and snapped his fingers, causing her to regain control over her mind and body. "Are you alright? You looked like you were hypnotized for a moment."

"I was what?" Realizing her actions during her nightdreaming, she immediately grabbed a pint of beer and drank it all at once to hide her face.

Nearly at the end of his speech, Ozpin notices Glynda drinking his pint. This pint of his was unique among the rest. He says to her while she chugs down. "Glynda, that's 35% alcohol!"

Glynda, upon hearing this, she has already finished drinking his beverage. Her vision blurs and everything she sees doubled in number. Everything around her felt as though it was spinning around endlessly. So by default, her habits too, changed as well. She grabs another pint and raises it high up.

"Is she gonna turn into another person?" Suther questions to Ozpin.

He answered. "Correct. Now brace yourselves. The floodgates are open and you do not want to mess with a Drunk Glynda."

The now Drunk professor pulled a hairpin out from her head, allowing her locks to flop down to reveal a dazzling beauty gifted by the Gods. If only she wasn't drunk then she would be called a Goddess.

"We're drinking *hic* until dawn boys." She declared with pride. "No one shall back down!"

And so the night carries on with Glynda as their leader.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morning arrived earlier than she expected. A ray of warm light hits her eyes, causing her to wake from her sleep. She got up from her bed and saw that she was visibly naked. Turning her head to her right, she saw what looked to be a muscular back of someone she knows very well. He too was also naked. Glynda was superbly nervous. The fact that she slept with a man sent shivers down her spine. Grabbing this person's shoulder, she reels his body to reveal his face.

She felt relief and shock at the same time. The shock was understandable but the relief is something she did not expect from someone like herself.

It was Suther. Naked and oddly fragrant like sweet vanilla and rose.

The morning rays of the sun also hit his eye, bringing about his waking to the real world. He got up and greeted Glynda with a smile.

"Good morning Glynda."

A loud screech coming from her was heard all over the neighborhood. This act causes the God eater to cover his ear to lessen the harm caused by her scream.

"It seems that you are in good spirits." He praised.

I'm gonna need a break. I've been working on two books and the other one is not even on this site, plus I have work to do IRL. Still, don't drop this yet. I just don't have time to write yet.
