Chapter 3: chapter 3:A simple system
Hartage kingdom is situated at the western part of the great Illaryian Sub-continent.It is a landlocked kingdom with no connection with the sea. Amongst western illaryian 33 kingdoms, Hartage kingdom is a medium sized power.Illaryian subcontinent's western and middle area is mostly under the controls of humans.Southern sub-continent is dominated by various elvan races, eastern sub-continent is the home of various giants,draconic races who are each others mortal enemies. Last but not least,the northern part of the sub-continent is mainly a mountainous area, which is home of various species. Among them dwarves are the ones who stand out most.Every 100 years or so,numerous beasts from northern territories invade human settlements in the west and middle continets.This is commonly known as a "Beast Tide". Humans put aside their grudges and unite to repal the invaders.
The great Illaryia subcontinent is just a small peninsula in far east of the great Arcadian continent.

Aetius was so depressed thinking about his current situations and was planing for the future.
He was thinking, if he had a system or some cheat or gold fingers like abilities, he could survive in this accursed world.But, The very moment he thought about system, a electronic message intoned in his head.
Then in front of him, a transparent panel pop up.

Hi system, can you talk, hello..... oi system,hey dumb system, why not talk,sir would you mind to talk, helooh...
Aetius tried his best to have a response from it to no avail.He used all kind of slangs he can think of from his previous life,he cursed it too.But he got no answer from it.
Aetius got no response at all. Isn't it supposed to be talking with me like those novels?why there is no response. This panel has only 2 lines of word.One is my name and other is system level.
System level 1 comes with unlimited data storage! is it mean i can only store data like books knowledge! it also says unlimited! i need to try this out.
Aetius looks around, but he suddenly remembers that he is in a hospital now not in his room
where he have few books.
He calm down thinking that something is better than nothing at all. Even though it is a very simple system but it gave aetius a hope to survive in this chaotic world.
It also has level system, so it can be upgraded to higher levels! Main question is how to upgrade it?
He saw that there a 'plus' sign left of level 1. He clicked it and saw a line
LEVEL UPGRADE CONDITIONS :
1.collect 1000 gallbladder of level 1 magic beasts. Every gallbladder must be from different magic beasts.
Seeing this, aetius eyes widened in shock. Level 1 magic beasts can use magic like level 1 mages. Though they are not good so as level 1 magis, but they are a deadly opponent for non magis like aetius.Among non magis only hunters in teams dare to catch them with adequate preparations.
magic beasts are used by both magi and ordinary people. Magis catch them and do research on them to enrich their understandings.Different magic beast has different aptitudes. If a beast has a fire magic skill, than fire path magis likes to buy them do their research on them.In Hartage kingdoms capital city, there is a big magi bazar where magis from all over the kingdom gathers.Without level 1 magi, ordinary peoples are prohibited from participation.
magic beast are a great ingredient for myriad types of medicines,alchemy,array,food.
ordinary skilled people known as hunters, do their best to catch one to earn a fortune. Mortality rate in this job is severe. But people still takes risk to go to hunt them to make a living.
Aetius was thinking how to use this system to his favour.There are countless magi paths.There are book path, ink path,memory path,mind path etc which are quite similar to data storage. So if he reveals his ability, there will not going to be much troubles.
But now is not the time! If i go straight to office and say that i passed my mana tip-off they may suspect me of being a fraud. I was in this hospital bed since beaten to pulp.if i had any mana fluctuations, than healers of this hospital would have noticed it . If they hear this, they will say i am saying nonsense, as i was recovering from injuries and they didn't noticed anything!
I will go out of town and will return shortly and say that i have passed my mana tip-off successfully. Then no one will suspect anything abnormal. Perfect planning!
When aetius was making his shrewd plans, suddenly door of the room opened and a young men around 20 years old entered the room. He was wearing a white robe which covers his entire body, half of his face was covered because of the hood. In his robe, there was a nameplate which contains information about him.Reading it, i understand that his name is "krugar hartvile von roscier zoer".In name plate, there is a special sign that indicates that he is a disciple of a healer in this hospital.
Not all mana awakened people can embark on magi path. Only 1 out of 9 mana awakeners can successfully become a rank 1 magi.Rest have to live an ordinary life.Some with great family connection and wealth make their failed childs to stay under a official magi in hope they can one day reach at least rank 1.Anyway a magis status is similar to nobels, so there are a lot of competition to be a lackey of a magi amongst a lot of people.
He approch the bed i was siting and took that hanging healing stone.After storing the mana stone in a sealed container he looked at me. He said to me to undress.I become nervous, he is not like those duds, right?I was fearing that he will rape me.I was sweating heavily and standing in front of him. Not to anger him, i stood up and undreesed.He come closer to me, i was praying all the religious figure i think of to help me. He touched all over my body, where i have bruises and told me in cold voice,
"You have recovered from your injuries. "
Finally i relaxed. I was really scared at that time! By reading his nameplate,it is clear that he has a strong family background. If he really were to rape me, i could only silently follow his comand.Or eles, he could easily silenced me.
Now that i noticed, i am just a 5.4 feet tall. Considering the age only 13 and half, i have bright a future to grow more taller.Black hair, white skin, blue iris,skinny body with little to no fat at all.Just a normal body type. Who will be attracted to this body?
I really misunderstood him.He had no bad intentions. He was just doing his duties.
" You are here since yesterday's upper sun period. Hospital fee will be deducted from your monthly allowances ." He told me then left hurriedly .
They say true, magi and magi disciples are anti-social peoples,who only care about their researchers. Anything but magi path is thier one and only focus!
