Chapter 8: BIRTHDAY PARTY
Raven was standing at the doorstep as she fiddled with her fingers as her foot was tapping .
gathering all her courage she rang the doorbell and waited.
"woah finally you arrived!!" Alex said cheerfully as Raven passed a adorable smile.
"come on ".
Raven followed Alex. to the living room as he cut the cake.
The party was going good untill mark , one of his friend suggested to play truth or dare.
Raven was sitting near Alex and Sia , his sister . The bottle spun as it pointed on Raven .
"I choose dare " Raven replied with a smug smile .
"we'll your dare is to ....."
the game went on as raven started to feel a bit dizzy so she decided to go to the terrace to get some fresh air.
she leaned on the trail as closed her eyes feeling the fresh air hit her skin.
after minutes of comfortable silence raven opened her eyes as she noticed Alex was staring at her .
"you scared me "
Raven hit his arm as he chuckled.
"umm, raven?"
"mm"
Raven turned to Alex as he took Raven's hands in his.
"there this thing which I wanted to tell you from the day I saw you , I've been crushing on you over months but you were too dumb to notice this idiot , I can't wait any longer "
Raven just stared at him blankly unable to process what he said .
he knelt down as he took out a ring
"I love you , will you be my girlfriend?"
what was Raven supposed to feel now , a tint of goosebumps roamed through her body as her heart raced a marathon , her eyes weren't blinking thinking if she close her eye she will wake up again and everything would have been a dream , her fingers grabbed the hem of the dress tightly as she immediately knelt down with Alex .
"I love you too"
and with that Alex slid the ring on to her finger .
their eyes never leaving each other as they didn't know the distance between them was decreasing each second . His warm breath fanned again her lips as they parted . their souls were inches apart when the loud sound of ringtone made them jump and move away.
Alex attended the call as he seemed a little tensed after hearing the caller.
"Raven , I've got some emergency , I had to leave "
"that's fine take care "
Alex rushed out as raven hid her face with her palms being flustered enough .she ran down to the living room and joined the others.

Jane yelled from the kitchen as she closed the Nutella box and washed her hands .
she opened the door only to find lia standing with a big bag.
"hey lia , come in "
Lia immediately came in and plopped on the couch.
"where is raven?"
"she went to Alex's birthday party "
Jane replied bluntly as she sat near Lia.
" you hate Alex right?"
this question made Jane froze in her place
"it's okay Jane , you can tell me anything "lia assured Jane as she placed her hand on her back rubbing smoothly.
"I don't hate him , I'm happy if she is happy that's it "
"you have a crush on her right"
Jane nodded slowly .
"then confess soon before it gets too late Jane "
Jane was silent .
"I'm afraid she will hate me later "
"don't assume things , give it a try"
lia said with a smile as Jane mirrored .
"I bought this cake for you guys , I thought you will like it , I'll place it in the kitchen have them soon"
"thanks Lia "
lia gave a cheerful smile as left.

raven knocked on the door as her smile didn't leave her face .
Jane opened the door as raven have a tight hug .
Jane was taken aback . raven is not something who likes physical shin ships.
"I have something to tell you" raven cheered as she pulled away.
"I have something to tell you too" Jane whispered as they sat in the dining .
"you go first " raven said with a smile
"nope you first " Jane told as raven nodded .
