Chapter 36: elders of the thousand sword sect
Sasha could not help but blush when she remembered how bold she was back there, yet, she didn't regret it, not in the slightest, after all, she had managed to gain his recognition.
They continued on their way till they finally arrived at a large pavilion, the entire structure was made of glass, making it look like a clear water surface, the only Mistry was that no matter how much one tried, they were unable to see what was inside of it.
Even Max could not see through it, he nodded in approval, although the sect was small, they still had decent quality.
"Respectable senior, please rest here for a while, we will go inform the sect head about your arrival and purpose, lady Sasha can accompany you if you wish, or if you want, another disciple would be sent to attend to you," Ezra said politely bowing to Max.
" There won't be a need for that, I will stay with him" Sasha quickly butted in. She didn't want to give those vixens any chance with what hers.
Ezra wasn't surprised by Sasha's request the least, he just bowed and excused himself, leaving the two to continue in whatever it was they were doing.

Ezra soon arrived at a different part of the sect, this space was separated by tall mountains, so not many people would be able to figure out that behind these mountains were the residence of the sect master and elders.
Ezra soon appeared in front of an ancient castle, the place looked so spooky that even Ezra would have left instantly if he wasn't sure that the sect master and remaining elders were currently recovering here from the injuries they acquired from the battle.
Instead of heading straight for the door, Ezra went towards the beast stone statue on the side of the door, he pushed his fingers into the mouth of the statue and a small stinging pain assaulted him.
Blood dripped from his fingers and entered the throat of the statue, soon after, part of the wall slowly parted in two to reveal a secret staircase leading somewhere underground.
Ezra hesitated for only a moment before finally entering inside, the secret passage closed up again, not even leaving a sign to show it was a secret door instead of just a wall.

Deep within the secret passage that Ezra just entered, a group of white-haired old men were seated in a carefree manner all over the place.
The place was a bit dull as it was only illuminated by a wooden torch that was hanging on the wall, yet it was very easy to feel the heavy tension flowing through the air.
There were a total of four elders and the sect master. Caiden, Sasha's grandfather, in this place, had a limp missing, while others looked like they had their life force drawn out from their bodies as they look like dried twigs.
"Do you think those kids will be able to find any medicine that would be helpful to our condition?" Elder one asked with a grave tone.
" Whether they can or not, it's not up to us anymore, let's just hope they do, after all, it's been five days since they left the sect" elder two said with a shaky voice like he was forcing himself to speak those few words.
"TKS TKS TKS, I didn't expect those bastards to have such a powerful offensive type treasure with them, their timing was just perfect, we almost died to that attack" Elder three said, regretting not owning such a treasure.
"How long do you think they will wait before attacking us again?" the second elder muttered with great difficulty.
"I think in a year or two, sect master caiden did quite a lot of damage with that last technique, "the fourth elder who had been quiet along with Caiden answered plainly, implying that they had too short enough time to regain their strength.
They all fell silent, they were all that remained of the thousand yang sect powerhouses, out of a hundred elders, only four survived and that was thanks to caiden's sacrifice, causing him to lose one of his hands.
"I think the best thing to do now is to surrender to a more powerful sect, that way, we will be able to survive while still getting resources" Caiden, the sect master finally spoke up.
His simple sentence caused the faces of all the four elders to turn dark instantly, yet, they had no words to rebuke his logic. What he said was likely the only solution to the current situation, unless 9ne of them was able to recover and attack while the iron was still hot.
Just in time before they were all swallowed by the feeling of helplessness, sounds of footsteps echoed through the dark corridor, and soon, a young man in the thousand yang sect disciple uniform entered their vision.
They all recognized Ezra immediately, they set their eyes on him, he was the one in charge of the team that was sent out to look for medicine or any treasure that might be useful.
Their faces brightened because they knew that Ezra would not return so soon unless they had found something useful and their small flame of hope started to blaze weakly within their soul.
They welcome him in and gave him a seat, before asking why he came back to Early, Ezra didn't hide anything and simply told the old men that they had found someone with a useful pill.
When Ezra mentioned that the pill was the eternal flaming pill, the eyes of the five old men turned sparkles. They knew very well just how valuable that pill was, even some cultivators weren't lucky enough to see one in their entire lifetime.
Caiden asked Ezra for full details of their treasure hunt and not only he but the four elders were equally shocked out of their wit when Ezra told them the full story, starting from when they met Max at the Okomure River.
Caiden burst into a roar-like laugh
