Chapter 2: •Chapter Two-Lee&Sensei

-The Next Day-

"You're here… again."

After the school bells had rang Muhon ran to the training fields provided by the village. He hung out biting into an apple as he watched a genin train from above.

The genin pointed at him, his thick brows furrowed. "Isn't watching all the time boring? Come join me!"

"No thank you."

Muhon replied. He watched this same genin train for the past two or so days. By the time his training sessions were over, his green spandex would stick even closer to his body because of the sweat.

That was how intense he trained.

And Muhon had no plans to put himself through that. Not yet anyway. For now he would just relax and quietly grind stat points.

"My names Rock Lee! What's yours?"

"Muhon."

Rock Lee flashed a smile.

His sensei gave the team several days off for a mission he went on outside of the village. Although he was supposed to be resting, he needed to scratch the itch to train.

And ever since Muhon started to watch him train, he could feel something. Akin to a sense. Muhons YOUTHFUL energy was overwhelming and Lee couldn't stand by as the energy was wasted instead of cultivated.

"Join me!" He insisted.

"I said no."

"I can teach you!"

"No."

"I-"

"No."

Muhon was amused by the training fanatic. Just from his brief interaction and observation for the past days he could tell the boy was someone who put everything he had into achieving his goals.

Someone whom he could come to respect. Muhon hadn't seen him use any ninjutsu or Genjutsu either, perhaps they were similar?

"Well I have to get back to my Taijutsu training now." Lee said. "But I won't give up! I will convince you to train with me!"

'More like coerce.'

Lee's schedule, although simple, was in actuality very hard. It consisted of one thousand push-ups, sit-ups, finger hand stand push-ups, and laps around the field. He would rinse and repeat this process with almost zero break in between.

What Muhon didn't know was that Lee also had weights attached as he went through his regimen. He couldn't be blamed though, Lee moved at a blinding speed even as his weights were attached to him. Any normal person wouldn't think he wore weights with that kind of movement and speed.

In the span of two hours, Muhon gained sixty more stat points.

[Name: Muhon Hannya]

[Age: 12(+24)]

[Overall LVL: Civilian]

[Stats: STR(310), END(310), AGI(310), VIT(310), COM(340)]

There was much growth in two days, yet, the system still deemed Muhon at the level of a civilian. It was a tad bit frustrating, but to see his stats grow so drastically and feel his body being enhanced greatly offset that frustration.

Lee finally stopped, but he looked far from tired. This was light-exercise to him. He would usually train harder when he was with his sensei, but that same sensei told him to take it easy until he got back.

"Hannya-kun! Train with me tomorrow!"

"Absolutely not."

Lee laughed as he waved goodbye and called it a day. But… it was likely that he would be back at it night before he went to bed.

- Growl~

Muhons stomach roared loud when he landed on smooth ground. This happened when his stat points would increase.

'How much do I have…?'

Reaching into his pockets, he pulled out two 100 hundred Ryo. That would probably be enough to get him a decent meal that would fill him up nicely.

-

"Welcome to Ramen Ichiraku! What can I get you, young man?"

Ramen Ichiraku was a dining establishment Muhon found after wandering a couple of minutes through the village. It was his first time at a place like this, and his first time eating ramen.

The lady behind the counter greeted him with a sweet voice. Her face didn't show a hint of displeasure or boredom that people would display working in a restaurant on earth. It seemed she truly loved her job.

"Anything that can fill me up. I'm really hungry right now."

"Anything?" The lady- Ayame, asked.

"Anything."

"Alright! I'll give you up a nice plate of Miso Tonkotsu. You'll love it."

Muhon smiled in response to her smile. He hoped the Miso Tonkotsu she talked about was really as good as she says.

"Well if it isn't Hannya-kun."

Muhon didn't have to turn to recognize who this voice came from. It was a man he saw almost everyday and someone whom he wouldn't forget for a couple of years.

"Hello Sensei."

"I'll have the same thing he's having Ayame-chan!" Iruka sat down right next to him.

"Right away!"

She replied.

"So… how's your heart?"

Heart? Oh-that's right. Muhons family had a history of people with heart problems. Several deceased family from his mothers and fathers side had died from heart failure. In fact, his mother fell victim to this illness as well.

His predecessor also had a weak heart. This was the reason Iruka never called him out for sitting and just watching the class.

"It's fine, I've gotten better in the last few days."

"Really? Haha! That's wonderful news to hear."

Iruka patted his shoulder. He truly did look happy for the news. A genuine happiness that Muhon could feel.

"Hey, Hannya-kun."

"Yes?"

Muhon glanced at Iruka. His tone sounded as if he was struggling how to word his next sentence.

"Have you ever thought about… maybe other occupations outside of being a shinobi."

'Ah. He's trying to steer me from that path.'

Muhon could understand where Iruka was coming from. In the past he was talentless, frail, and just simply had no potential. Yet he still wanted to be a shinobi. Putting himself in Iruka's shoes, he also would've tried any methods to get his past self to change his mind on being a shinobi.

But as he was now?

For his survival, he couldn't stop on his path to becoming a shinobi.

At this moment in time, any shinobi above the level of genin could kill him in an instant and he wouldn't be able to do a thing about it.

Sure, perhaps he didn't necessarily have to become a shinobi to get stronger because of his cheat. But then what else would he do? He would eventually get bored of normal life just like the past.

As someone who was inherently lazy, this was quite the contradiction of character.

"I have, sensei."

Muhon could see the relief expressed on Iruka's face. That quickly went away with his next sentence.

"But I need to become a shinobi. It's my dream and I would rather die than not become one. I'll show you sensei, I've changed."

"Your Ramen is ready!"

Ayame set down the steaming hot Ramen bowls in front of Iruka and Muhon. Her dark pupils glanced back and forth between the two.

"It looks like I've intruded, excuse me."

"No way, you're fine Ayame-chan. Thank you."

"Yes, thank you for the Ramen." Muhon said.

"You both welcome."

Time passed as Muhon and Iruka ate in silence. Their bowls were quickly emptied and they even asked for seconds. It was that good.

"I'll pay Hannya-kun."

Muhon nodded. He wouldn't reject someone willing to pay for free if he could save money. He wasn't exactly 'rich' like Iruka.

As they bid Ayame goodbye, Iruka offered to walk his student home. Muhon raised an eyebrow saying nothing.

Iruka's mind was a swarm of emotions and thoughts. How should he proceed? His student was telling him in his intention to becoming a shinobi, yet his chances at that were minuscule.

It was better to build other skills young in order to survive if there was a likelihood you didn't cut it as a shinobi. But this hopeless student of his only had one things in his mind.

'That's right… my student.'

Iruka smiled.

Finally they arrived at an apartment complex.

"We're here. Goodbye sensei."

"Hm, this is where Naruto lives." Iruka said. "Hannya-kun."

"Yeah?"

"I believe in you. As long as you still want to become a shinobi, I'll help to make it happen with all my power."

Iruka's face hardened, displaying his sincerity. He meant what he said, and he would never go back on his words. That was the kind of man he was.

"Thank you sensei." Muhon said.

'You couldn't stop me if you tried anyway.'
