Chapter 21: Changing feelings
{1st, POV, Alizée}
'I wonder, is master taking care of himself properly or not??"
"Sigh!!— I should have been more persistent, then he might have taken me with him too... I feel so lonely without him... "
Master has been on the island of the thousand monsters for two months. It was as if the palace had lost its hues the day he left; everything had become bland and lifeless. These two months have without a doubt been the most difficult of my life. There was never a time when I didn't worry about him because there was nothing else I could do. Lady Tiamat is barely acting; she rarely leaves her room and always wears a dreamy expression. She wouldn't even show up to eat whenever I ask her to; she claims that demigods can go for hundreds of years without eating, so two months is nothing. So, I gave up without a good excuse to dispute her words.
After he confessed and we became lovers. It became much more difficult for me to let go of him. He also allowed me to call him by his name anytime we were alone. But I declined since I prefer to address him as master. I'm sure I won't be his only woman in life, and I'm certain he'll have more in the future. I'm not upset or depressed about it, and I don't hold him responsible. He is our sovereign lady Tiamat's only descendant and adored grandchild, whereas I am only a commoner girl. Even though I carry the blood of a rare true dragon, I am still a hybrid. If my father had been alive and I had been the heir to his noble house, things may have been different. That, however, is honestly a pipe dream. So, even if it's only as a maid, I'm content to be by his side. I don't have any regrets.
A sudden memory brought a smile to my lips as I, reminiscent of that event. It was on that day my affection for him, took form as the ever-growing love, my heart contains for master.
(Flashback, start... )
"Hey!— Let's buy some of those, they look tasty!!"
Master spoke excitedly. As we continue to walk down the street. Today we came to a random city, situated in lady Ehecatl's kingdom to wander around. It was master's wish to explore somewhere to spend some time.
"Slow down, Mas... E-Ethan."
I followed behind him, as he went into a quick-fry shop. He bought two pieces one for me and one for himself. He ordered me to call him by his name, to prevent appearing as a noble and attracting people's attention.
"Here, take it."
He handed me the reason quick-fry.
"Thank you, master."
I took it and thanked him.
We keep on walking around the city while glancing here and there. We are in the marketplace, there are all lots of stores selling a variety of different stuff, from fruits, meat, stir fry, clothes, weapons, items, etc. The streets are bustling with people doing their work, kids running and playing in the parks.
We kept on roaming through the streets with no clear directions.
"The city is very crowded right?"
Master asked me, as we walked towards the City Square.
"Yes, I have never been to a city before. This is my first time."
I answered it is truly my first time coming to a city. The elves kingdom, I grow up in is an island, it was made of only giant trees. We built houses on the canopy of those towering trees, to live. The tallest tree was, where the royal palace is constructed.
"Ahh— Yes, I heard from aunt Apep the elves live on the tree."
"Yes, you are correct, master."
I affirmed his words. Master is certainly well informed.
"Alright, so we have to make sure your first time visiting a city is pleasant."
Master declared and extended his hand at me. I became confused at his gesture.
"What's the matter? Is there a problem master?"
I asked.
"Nothing just hole my hand, the road is heavily crowded. It will be better as you don't know the way."
Master replied with a kind smile, that made my heart beat faster.
'Master's smile is too deadly...!!'
Making an effort to divert my focus from his handsome face, and composing my throbbing heart.
"What did you say, master?"
I inquired, not believing the words I heard.
"I asked you to hold my hand. You might get lost, so it's better."
Listing to his request, my heart skipped a beat. Staring at his extended hand, a red hue spread over my face to the very end of my ears.
"I-Is... this... al-alright...??"
"Yes, Why wouldn't it be alright??"
He asked, with a doubtful look.
"N-No-Nothing...!!!"
I quickly denied his words and, started moving my shaking hands towards his. I was extremely nervous, this will be my first time holding hands with a man and with master nonetheless.
"Ooh!!!… Come on!! Why are you so hesitating?? Let's go."
Saying that master took my hand in his and began pulling me across the streets. We went to a lot of different stores and he got me some new clothes that he believed would look well on me. I felt giddy in my chest as a result of his caring attention, and I eagerly tried them on for him to see.
We then went to a large restaurant for lunch. The hotel is expansive and elegantly decorated, with a clean and organized interior; the cuisine is also delicious; however, there is a major issue. I'm trying to open a dish composed of shells, but I'm having difficulty. Master, on the other hand, is swallowing them down as if they were nothing.
"What??— Are you having trouble opening the shells??"
'Ahh!!!— I got seen through... What should I do???... '
"N-No... M-Master... I-I c-can... "
Panicking, I began stammering as I couldn't think of a good excuse.
"You don't have to be embarrassed, here let me peel them for you."
Speaking that he took one shell and began to peel it for me.
"Here, say ah... "
He held the peeled meat, in a fork and held it in front of my mouth.
"Y-you... don't have to... "
I was about to protest otherwise. Yet...
"Mmm... "
My mind went blank as he gently put the portion in my mouth before, I can finish talking.
"Tasty right?"
Still, smiling he inquired.
"Un... "
I simply nodded my head, absentmindedly. Still, stunned by the whole situation.
"Here eat some more... "
"Ah... Mmm... "
Much to my surprise, the master began to feed me like this.
"Hey look at them, the boy is feeding her. So, cute~"
"Yes, look he is very handsome too!!! Ah—I'm so jealous... "
"You're right but the girl is very stunning too, they match each other perfectly."
"I wish, I too can find such a good-looking and lovely boyfriend, who will feed me like this."
"Huh!!!— with your ugly looks, you can only dream~ "
"Hey!!!— like your one to talk bitch, have you ever seen how boys avoid you? It causes you're ugly as shit!!!"
I can hear other girls gossiping, about us. Truthfully, I am a little embarrassed and happy, I felt proud when they praised master's appearance. But, when one of them said something about finding a handsome same as the master, I sneered in my mind. My master is way too handsome, finding someone matching his appearance is equal to ascending to the heavens. I'm being serious, I grow up as an elf, and elves are all very handsome and beautiful appearance-wise. Still, they are nothing when compared to master.

We left the restaurant after finishing our lunch, we are now walking in the direction of a very famous cliff, located at the other end of the city. As we kept on walking hand in hand, yes!! we are still holding hands, but now I don't feel any awkwardness because of it.
Suddenly, I spotted a jewelry store and wanted to take a look, but didn't know how to ask master about it. So, I kept glancing at the store from time to time.
"Do you want to buy jewelry?"
As I'd been pondering how to tell master, he questioned me.
"Yes!!— I-I... only want to take a look."
"Okay, as you wish."
I agreed with a nod, and we started walking towards the shop. Entering inside was very luxurious, and elegant. The items are all placed inside glass showcases, so we can observe them without any problems.
I began to scan some rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Some of them were certainly beautiful but I didn't like them, as my eyes roam through the showcases one item caught my eyes. It was a small necklace with a crystal locket, the crystal is bright emerald green it is carved into a zodiac shape, the chain is made of platinum silver color shining elegantly.
"So, you like this necklace. It is truly beautiful and matches your hair."
Master spoke as I kept staring at the necklaces.
"Yes— I like very much."
I side absentmindedly. I didn't realize, master would take my words seriously, and his next words broke my trance.
"Okay, so let me buy it for you."
"No-no— you shouldn't mas—Ethan…!! The necklace is too expensive for me."
I quickly denied his intentions, with panic. The necklace is truly very expensive, it would not be worth it for master to spend this much money for my sake.
Master frowned upon my words and said in a somewhat stiff manner.
"Do you think I lack money??"
I looked down and shook my head in refusal. Money is the last thing, master had to worry about. His expression turned kind and he spoke again.
"I'm already determined to buy it for you, so don't worry about something trifle, like money."
"Excuse me, I would like to buy this necklace."
The shopkeeper, an old man with white hair nodded and took the necklace out.
"10 high-grade mana stones."
"Here."
Saying that master paid for the ornament. The old man counted the money and gave the necklace to the master.
"Let me help you wear it."
Master moved behind me, and his next action made me stunned.
He moved my hair to one side and put the necklace over my neck, he put the chain similar to how a lover helps his beloved wear jewelry.
"Ha-ha-ha!!!... young man, you have a lovely wife. Make sure to treat her well."
The old man's teasing words made me want to dig a hole to hide my head, in embarrassment. It would seem he misunderstood, and assumed we are a couple.
"No-no— Y-you miss... Umm!!!"
"Yes, don't worry old man. She is very precious to me, I'll definitely keep her happy."
Before I can clarify our relationship master replied to the old man's words, with a calm face and assuring voice.
Listing to his promise to the old man, my heart began to beat like a drum, my eyes became wet. Clutching the chain tightly, I looked up at the master, and with the most dazzling smile, I can muster.
"Thank you, Ethan. I'll treasure this gift more than my life."
I said sincerely, from the bottom of my heart. It was at that moment, my feelings for him changed from affection and respect to something; much more intimate and special, love. I realized I started to love, master as any woman loves a man.
"Huh!!?— why would you do that? You are much more precious to me than some jewelry. If you want I can buy hundreds of these pieces for you."
His replies made my heart drown in sweetness, and more tears began to drop from the corner of my eyes. Seeing me shed tears, he frowned, and inquiries with concern.
"Why are crying, did I say something wrong??"
"N-No!!! ... I'm just incredibly happy, that mas... Ethan cares so deeply about me."
I shook my head, implying to him to not worry. To which he sighed in relief.
"Sigh— If you say so... Then it's fine."

"The sight is truly marvelous right?"
"Yes... "
After leaving the jewelry store, we came to the cliff. The cliff is very high, the bottom is filled with the raging sea. This is the specialty of this cliff as the waves are extremely chaotic, compared to the calm sea.
We are sitting at a relatively desolate corner of the cliff with not much presence. My heart again began to race rapidly, as we are the only ones here.
"Look!!! There is a meteor shower!!!"
As my mind was about to wander in wild fantasies, master's excited cry woke me up. Glancing in the direction, the master is pointing at. I saw a mind-blowing phenomenon, the stars in the sky are falling, creating a shower of stars called the meteor shower. It is extraordinarily beautiful...
Suddenly, Master took a hold of my hand, and intertwined his fingers with mine. I didn't shack him away and too rested my head on his shoulder. Both of us didn't spoke a word and just admired the exceptional spectacle occurring before our eyes. Like this, I fall for him. My one and only master, and the sole love of my life, just as the stars fall from the sky.
"Did you enjoy the tour?"
"Yes, it was the best day of my life."
"Then, I'm glad."
(Flashback end...)
[Hello guy, sorry I couldn't post yesterday. It turned out my classes, finish at 7 p.m. So, I don't get much free time to write, and this chapter took more time as I had to think very hard.
Another thing, some of you have problems with the MC's looks and age. Well, I have only one thing to say, you can tolerate 10000 years old lolis just fine, but can't accept a boy who looks 18 when he is 12? What the fuck???
