Chapter 60: Chapter 55: Sword of Frost, Divine Lance
Ein was with Vill, designing new mechs and tech that would help immensely with the war effort.
"Ein, I'm designing a device that could locate herrschers more accurately, so if they spawn in a place where there's no civilians. We could rain down surprise attacks." She was creating a navigator that reacts specifically to herrscher cores. They found out that they emit special wavelengths of honkai energy that is specific only to herrschers.
"That's helpful Vill, keep it up. We'll focus on killing them immediately now, more than ever I would imagine." They're getting much stronger after all, I should diversify my weapons as well.
She smiled. "Yeah, and I wish you'll have a better time dealing with them as well. You focus on weapons, I'll make miscellaneous devices to make it easier on dealing with them." She returned to her work.
He started to design faster, stronger, beefier mechs so they can be used against emperor class honkai beasts. And the 5th and 6th cores are also to be utilized for new weapons.
The 5th was to be an azure blade of ice that could freeze everything even hell. Frozen Naraka, the 6th is 2 lances that could utilize the herrscher's power of cellular degradation, and cellular restoration. The black abyss and white flower. (Pic here and I just decided to make naraka a divine key.)
He nodded with satisfaction on the new weapons. "I'm the only one that could use weapon type divine keys, but new users would probably emerge once project soldier comes through."
For the 3rd he added a slingshot form for kicks and giggles.
A certain mercenary from the future shivered. She started to sweat as a foreboding feeling washed over her.
For the 7th form he made it into a morphing weapon that starts as a one handed sword and shield that could combine to make a huge axe. (Pic here.)
"I think this is enough, I'll call it the 7 thunders of retribution. You'll have new sisters, and I'll have comrades in the battlefield. You must be excited." As he stroked the blade of the weapon, glowing brightly as to affirm his words.
He then decided to visit Mobius and Mei to help with project soldier. It is tied to project Odin anyway so it's a win win.
"Moby-chan, let's goooo! I'll have team mates now, just have to make them." He smiled as he entered.
But then he froze. "Griseo? What are you doing here?" He saw Griseo on a couch, eating tons of candy that was still being given by Mobius.
"Ah... Brother Ein. Mom brought me here to play, dad is always busy you see? And aunt Mobius is giving me lots of snacks." She then put a lollipop in her mouth as she started to draw.
"You know Griseo Ein? She's the daughter of one of my assistants. This is the first time she came in years." She sighed.
"Griseo. Stop eating that much candy, I'll give you something delicious." He gave her some milk tea that was low in sugar and fat, but was still scrumptious as it was made with the best ingredients.
Griseo eyed it with curiosity as she received it and took a sip. Her eyes widened for a bit. "Ohhhhh. Thank you brother Ein, this is much better." She revised her drawing to her and Ein drinking some bubble tea while on a park.
Klein looked at Griseo enviously as she looked at Ein and the drink back and forth. "Hah, here you go Klein. Thank you for working hard." He gave her an extra large deluxe one with tons of sugar for energy.
"You know me well Dr. Ein." She sipped it deliciously as her tired body perked up from the delightful drink.
"So. Why haven't I seen this assistant Mobius?" He always only saw Klein, Nuwa, and Fuxi.
"She doesn't come here often. Her husband also works here in Moth actually. And besides, you're always at different sectors of Moth. If you had an assistant, they'd drop dead in a month." She shrugged.
He scratched his head. "True, so Griseo. Want to play with me? I imagine you'd want to get tons of inspiration no? I could introduce you to friends as well, Mobius might rub on you..."
Mobius glared at him. "Hey! What do you mean by that!?" He shrugged and stared at her menacingly.
"You'd pump her full of sugar Mobius, and feed her cup noodles or something. You're a grade A unhealthy person." He deadpanned.
Mobius harrumphed. "Well, I don't know how to take care of others. That's not of my concern." She then returned to her work, not wanting to continue the discussion.
Griseo pulled on his coat and looked up at his face. "Brother Ein. You'll introduce me to new friends?" Her normally soulless looking eyes glimmered a bit.
He patted her head and kneeled to face level. "Umu, we'll have tons of fun you know? Mobius, I'll take care of Griseo for a bit. You have Metatron to help you, call me if there's a difficult part you can't breakthrough." He then held Griseo's hand and went to the barracks.

Ein and Griseo was now in front of Elysia and Himeko, Kevin is busy training out of his mind. "Griseo, these beautiful ladies are my lovers! They're amazing you know? And another one is an artist, I think you'll like her too." He patted her on the head.
"Woah, who is this cute child Ein!?" Elysia pinched her cheeks and rubbed her face to hers.
Himeko sighed at Elysia. "Ellie, don't make her feel uncomfortable. She's a kid you know?" She pried Elysia off.
"Hello, my name is Griseo. Brother Ein told me he'll introduce me to new friends. And Brother Ein, can I be your lover too? Is that like best friends?" She tilted her head.
Himeko and Elysia started to sweat. "Uhhh, Ein. Could you explain it to her?" They smiled nervously.
"Hah, Griseo is older than us you know? And Griseo, a lover is like your mother and father, ask aunt Mobius about it, she's my lover as well." He gave a malicious grin.
"Ohhhh... Then isn't that a good thing? I'll become closer with you." She stared at him with expectation.
Himeko and Elysia were still in shock. Knowing that Griseo is older than them. "Uhh, Griseo sweetie. Lovers are actually different from friends. They could be friends, true. But lovers kiss and stuff like your parents." Himeko awkwardly tried to explain.
Griseo had a confused look on her face. "I saw mom kiss dad. I could do that to brother Ein." As the two's smiles faltered for a bit.
Ein sighed. "Griseo, sure you could. But understand it clearly first, it's actually an important decision of your life. And it shouldn't be decided willy nilly, okay?" He smiled and patted her head.
"Un, I will ask aunt Mobius first then." She nodded and enjoyed his dextrous and soothing pats.
Himeko and Elysia sighed in relief. "I'm Elysia! Nice to meet you Griseo-chan!" She pinched her cheek again.
"I'm Himeko. Nice to meet you Griseo, how about we play for a bit with my subordinate?" She then called Hua to also distract her from the tragedy of the 6th herrscher.
Griseo's eyes glimmered. "Ohhh. What should we play Ein-nii?" She perked up excitedly, this is the 1st time she could play with friends.
"Hmm, how about we play charades Griseo? We give you a word, and you draw it for us, but not the exactly. We'll give you a minute and we'll be in 2 teams."
She nodded quickly and Ein took out a canvas and drawing materials. Hua also came after a few minutes. "Hello. I am Hua, pleasure to meet you." She bowed.
"Un, so many friends." She cracked a small smile as she prepared to draw. Ein gave her the words and they played a few rounds.

"Fuuu~ that was fun Ein-nii. Can we do it again sometime?" Griseo asked him with upturned eyes.
"Argh. How could I refuse that... Okay Griseo, whenever you come here, I'll be sure to play with you when I'm here okay?" He patted her head and gave her some lunch.
"Un, thank you. I never had this much fun before." She said as she chewed a sandwich.
She ate it quickly as they relaxed on a bench. "Hey, want to see something beautiful Griseo?" He smiled at her.
She tilted her head. "A beautiful place? Let's go." She stood up and grasped his hand, as they started to walk to their destination.
"Look, isn't it beautiful? I planted it myself, and the flowers bloom and compliment the tree as well." They arrived at his sakura tree.
Griseo looked around and nodded slowly. "Un, beautiful. Just like you." She admired the pleasant view.
They sat at the base of the tree and he took out painting materials. "How about it Griseo? Don't you want to paint this moment?"
She took it and nodded. "Un, this day was fun. Thank you Ein-nii." She hugged him on his waist. Then she started to draw.
He played some soft and slow music with a piano as she drew. Her strokes of the brush quick and decisive. Like a scene was already in her head.
She finished quickly, only taking 30 minutes. But it was neat and polished. Like a masterpiece.
"I imagined us playing here. This is a good place." She showed it and they were there, Himeko and Elysia looked like friends that was about to argue. Mobius sat and silently wrote on a clip board in the back ground, Phyllis was counting coins on the table. Hua ate in front of Phyllis quietly, as Ein and Griseo silently sat on the base of the tree, admiring the view and feeling the soft wind.
"Next time, we should all come here." She stared at the orange sky. Signifying a sunset, and looked down on the ground.
"Don't worry Griseo. We'll make it happen! And play around here, have a small picnic with more friends." He patted her head.
"Un, thank you Ein-nii." She hugged him softly.

They returned to the lab and saw Mobius was still working quietly. "Aunt Mobius, I want to be Ein-nii's lover. But he said that I need to understand it first." She blurted out the million dollar question.
Mobius choked on her saliva as she coughed. "What the..." She then stared at Ein that was whistling innocently on the background.
"Uhhh, Griseo. Go and read this, ask your mom when she comes to pick you up later too." She rummaged on her desk as she took out a book. Titled, love for dummies. As she blushed an atomic red when Ein saw it.
He grinned widely. "Ohooo? I see, Griseo. That's aunt Mobius' personal book. You'll learn from it surely. As Mobius is now an excellent lover." He snickered.
"Un, thank you aunt Mobius." She then started to read it while sitting on a couch. "Byeee! I have to work on divine keys you see?" He ran like the wind as he arrived to Vill's workshop. Leaving an embarrassed Mobius.

After a few weeks of fine tuning. With his focus on the keys, he finally made it. The keys were now assimilating the herrscher cores, and they started to change.
The blade started to turn blue, and a cold mist emanated from it. Its aura as cold as ice, daring anyone to hold it. While the lance was relatively calm and subdued. But the black part glowed menacingly.
He then held the two weapons and looked at it intensely, as he focused on the energy of the weapons.
The blade vibrated and frost started to appear in the room. "Oooh, feisty one ain't cha? Calm down, I know how to use a blade." He rolled his eyes.
The blade tried to freeze him, but it didn't affect him whatsoever. So it started to calm down, its glow died down like it was depressed or something.
The lance tried to encroach his mind. As it tried to force murderous intent on him. "Too bad, I have killer instincts. I just don't kill everything that annoys me." He raised the lance and a white light washed over the surroundings. As roots started to appear all over the place.
He retracted it immediately and smiled widely. "Hmmm, I have more options now. Maybe use the abyss flower as a throwing weapon, and dual wield Naraka and the 3rd key." He contemplated his options.
"Hah, now let's help Vill with whatever she needs to do." He located her and started another batch of work.

Thanks for reading guys. I kinda painted Griseo's parents as bad guys, but people change. Lmao, and the reveal of the new update made Griseo look very childish, like she's 12 or something. But I won't change it. Let's just say she's a special individual like Mashiro. Anyways, Ciao.
