Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Life never turns out the way one wants it to. In learning that lesson, a small blue flame slowly rose up out of his former body. On top of his broken corpse, a man who caused it seemed to be kicking as the soul noticed his chest slowly rising and falling. It was weak and he looked ready to pass on at any moment, but the soul didn't care.
For why the soul didn't care, he was just leaving after helping his friend get moved into his new apartment. Never did he expect a man to fall from the sky and use him to break his fall. Feeling a strong suction force pulling into the sky, the soul took one last look at his broken body before launching upwards.
Appearing in what appeared to be a small mat sitting on a cloud across from a middle aged man. The soul was slightly freaked out and yet at the same time wasn't causing him a great deal of concern. The man who sat at him looked slightly amused as he tugged on his dark brown and gray beard.
"Hello, you must be confused on where you're at, how you get here, am I dead or who I am. Well, I can be considered god from your view, but currently I am on my two thousand year vacation when my latest son with a mortal killed you. He was attempting to plank on his balcony for that short video app that became popular."
The soul noticed the man was slightly excited until he told the reason for his death. After that the man seemed depressed and the soul didn't know how to comfort him. It must be bad to have such an idiot for a son.
"Well, one of my friends asked if I could transfer a soul over to his world. So in a way to compensate you, I offer you to be reborn in that world. Of course you may ask for abilities or whatnots that are recently trending in fantasy novels." God basically explained. "You will keep your memories of course as well as gain the basics survival necessities alongside language and writing."
"What if I don't agree?" The soul asked lightly. He was very tempted after all due to the amount of fiction he read with such a setting. The thing now was if there was a catch or some hidden danger he would end up meeting.
"Nothing really, I just keep asking until someone agrees while you move onto reincarnation. What you will be reborn as is anyone guess." God shrugged. "So what is your answer?"
Thinking long and hard as it was a very difficult question. In the end he agreed to be reborn in another world and for his wishes. The soul thought and was unsure what to choose for a bit. In the end after some soul searching, he decided on an option that seemed fun.
"I want a harem sign-in."
God just blinked dumbly for a moment than for another before regaining his senses. As his hand slowly slid down his face, it appeared as if he was looking at another idiot. Instead of choosing something to help them survive in a new world or have an easy life. Why would one choose something that didn't fit this path?
"Why! What about sword skills that can cut space and time or super strength. There is even an option of creating a perfect heal potion and selling it to live a rich and easy life. They will give you countless girls, so why waste your wish on something like this?"
The soul just let out an embarrassing laugh. "Because, why not. It's not like I need a big or profound reason. It's not like I need to save the world, defeat corruption or become a king."
"You're right." God snapped his fingers. "Well, now that is out of the way and everything is ready. You best be on your way."
"Thanks I guess."
"Oh, and before I forget. Feel free to break the world, it is not rare for such a world to break."
Confused, the soul soon felt everything fade away. The space around him soon faded like a broken mirror.

When he came too, he was greeted by a ruined church. A large gap in the roof was beneath him as the moonlight fell upon him. Vines and moss coated the walls as he saw a smooth and elegant hand. Following the arm it was attached to it, he soon realized it was his and he wore ragged clothes.
Stumbling a bit as he stood up, he placed his hands on the back of a bench.
"Where am I?" A strangely smooth voice escaped his lips. "I am still male too, whew."
There was no strange influx of memories or sudden knowledge of this body's previous venture. It was a blank sheet on why he ended up in such a place, but instead he gained memories about this world. From the races that lived here and monsters to various professions such as adventurer, blacksmith, peddler or merchant.
He learned that most grow into their professions as this world uses an apprentice system and begins at around eight or nine. On the other hand, an adventurer usually begins around fifteen as one needs to become considered an adult. To become one it usually happens when one becomes fourteen.
For the gap it usually gives time for the guild to train up one skill they will need. Apparently, unlike in all the fantasy stories, one simple couldn't sign up and take two simple tests. While combat ability is important, an adventurer needs more abilities than simply slaying monsters.
Hence, calling an adventurer a jack of all trades is true as they master a bit of everything to widen the range of quests they can accept.
"So this is going to be my new life?" The teen quietly said as he raised his hand to the sky. "What should my new name be?"

Due to being unable to decided on which fanfiction I wanted to do next. I decided to combine it with an idea I been working on for the last year and half. So not only do I get to work on this story, but get to include girls from various series.
For those that suggested on what they wanted to see next. Sorry, but they are currently on hold due to lack of thoughts on how to reach my end goal with them.
So, lets the next adventure begins.
