Chapter 13: Battle and Help

Swinging, Urug released two blades of fire three meters wide each from his broadswords. The fiery blades flew over the distance and hit the front of the devourer, who, seeing the attack, grew a bone curse on his muzzle and covered his eyes with bone plates. When the flame hit the devourer, he screamed in pain.

While the monster was blinded, Urug ran up to him and concentrated the flame around the blade and struck at the forelimbs. But the monster, even being blinded, felt some movement near him and shot in front of him with pointed bones from the tentacles on his back.

Uruga, seeing the bone shells flying at him, had to dive under the devourer and, having accelerated, jumped out under the left limb, practically cutting it off. But feeling the pain in his left limb and the movement under his body, the monster instantly grew bone spikes from the lower part of his body. One of the bone spikes dug into the right leg of the Urug and, tearing part of the abuse, grazed the skin, leaving a long torn wound.

Having escaped from under the monster, Urug jumped back some distance and focused rashu on the injured leg to ease the pain and stop the bleeding a little. Meanwhile, the Devourer opened his eyes and began to regenerate, due to the fact that the blow was inflicted on rashu, the wounds closed very slowly. Seeing the regeneration, Urug, not paying attention to the pain, rushed to the devourer.

"You can't let it regenerate completely, you need to deal as much damage as possible."

The devourer, growling, turned around and rushed at Uruga attacking with his tentacles on his back. With incredible speed, the tentacles cut through the ground, leaving traces of several meters on it. Urug, seeing the monster's attack, clenched his teeth and focused the rashu on his body and the blades of the broadswords. His muscles, saturated with energy, tensed and created a fire shield with the help of broadswords, he jumped on the monster trying to reflect and burn the tentacles flying into it.

Unfortunately for Uruga, several tentacles flying through the fire and passing the broadswords were able to injure him. But due to rashu armor and energy, the damage was minimized, leaving only small incised wounds.

When Urug was right above the monster he began to strike around himself, chopping off the tentacles that prevented him from reaching the monster. The devourer, seeing the approach of the enemy, not paying attention to the pain from the severed limbs, began to cover his body with a reinforced layer of bones and various thorns.

Urug, who practically approached the monster's body, seeing that he was covering his body with bone armor and thorns, swung and hit the monster's neck with fiery blades.

The blow was able to penetrate the armor by reaching the skin. Urug directed more rashu into the blade, which began to intensify the flame burning through the skin making a hole. The devourer roared in pain and went crazy and hit him with his tentacles.

At the moment of the approach of the tentacles, Urug, breathing heavily, will jump away from the monster, avoiding its blow. The devourer did not have time to react to his movements, hit his neck, making the wound even more serious.

Jumping back and running away from the monster for a dozen meters, Urug sat down on one knee, resting his broadswords on the ground. Although his injuries were not serious, but their number made itself felt. His face was a little pale and tense.

"I spent quite a lot of rashu on maintaining wounds, attacking and strengthening the body and armor. When the reinforcements arrive."

After his thoughts, he quickly looked around the battlefield and frowned, he saw fights in different areas near the wall. There were already casualties in some places, he saw several soldiers who had lost limbs and were bleeding, some archers who jumped to help tried to take them off the battlefield.

Looking at Vladimir's group, Urug saw that there were only three of them left. Just at this moment, the leader of the devourers, having gone mad and angry, roared after which, turning in the direction of Uruga, he began to run towards him like a madman, shooting bones.

Hearing his actions and the approaching shells, Urug jumped away and dodged, after which he sighed and began to direct rashu to the broadswords. The earth trembled from the running of the devourer, when he was ten meters away from Urug, he sent all his tentacles into him, creating a wave of flesh and bone blades.

At the approach of this stream, Urug sent a large amount of rashu to his feet and jumped, from the jump a crater of several meters was formed under him. Flying towards the devourer's head, he poured a little rashu into the blade, which caused the blade to be covered with yellow light. Approaching the embittered devourer, he directed his maples at the blood-red eyes of the monster.

The clenches, having been through the eyes, entered to the hilt, causing the monster to scream in incredible pain. But Urug's attack did not end there, gritting his teeth, he directed all his rashu into swords.

An incredible amount of fire erupted from the thrust blades, burning the guts of the devourer and intensifying the pain they were experiencing. Having lost his mind from the pain, he started banging his head on the ground with Urug on it.

Craters of tens of meters were formed from the impacts in the ground. Urug, clutching his broadswords and sending all his rashu into the maples, coughed up blood after each blow to the ground.

The cry of the monster attracted the attention of everyone on the battlefield, forcing them to look at the confrontation between Urug and the devourer. But because of their already unfavorable situation, everyone only glanced at the carnage, returning to the bloody confrontation, inwardly praying for the victory of Urug.

After a few minutes, the rashu of the Uruga was almost over, and the body could no longer hold on, and he, releasing the handles of the broadswords, concentrating the remnants of the rashu in his legs, jumped several tens of meters several times.

Landing on his knees, Urug rested his hands on the ground and started coughing copious amounts of blood together with pieces of internal organs. The armor, unable to withstand all the blows, broke long ago, opening his old and new wounds that bled profusely, staining his body red. His leg wound became bigger, looking into it one could see broken bones and torn muscles.

The devourer who flew off the coils, hitting the ground several times, stopped, staggering from side to side. But noticing the seriously wounded Urug with his whole eyes, the half-dead monster became enraged and staggered towards him.

Urug had nothing to do but watch the approach of the devourer. Seeing his situation, the wounded Vladim, along with the fighter remaining in his group, clenched his teeth, he could not help as he was fighting with one of the fortified eaters.

This time, the archers had already entered the melee at the wall and suffered losses, and about eight of the original nineteen swordsmen remained. At that moment, slightly beaten people in leather armor began to appear on the wall, looking around the battlefield, they frowned and jumped down, quickly ran to help.

By that time, the leader of the devourers, who approached Urug, began to swing his tentacles to strike. Urug, who was watching the approach of death, did not react, but only looked calmly. When the monster was ready to strike from the side of the gate, a water projectile flew out at a speed invisible to the human eye.

Approaching the incomprehensible monster, he hit exactly the eye that had previously attacked Urug. The projectile hit the hole and punched the monster through, flying out from the opposite side. The Devourer, frozen for a few seconds, fell, causing a small earthquake.

A few minutes later, an adult-looking man with a bow appeared next to Urug, he wanted to say something with a mocking smile, when suddenly changing his facial expression, he looked up at the sky.

Suddenly, the whole sky lit up with a bright white light, and all the creatures felt pressure on their soul.
