Chapter 158: Ch 150 – Isaac Deathwill, A Villainous Necromancer

It was the year 2055, and the world of Earth has undergone rapid change since the year 2051, dubbed as the 'System Awakening'.

It was the dawn of New Year, with festivity and celebratory feasts being seen everywhere. Humanity has prevailed against all odds and still going strong after facing the apocalypse and dungeons, now, they were thriving under such circumstances with some even reaching levels of strength comparable to Demigods.

But the moment it struck 00:00:00, a change occurred worldwide that brought the second coming of explosive growth to humanity. The Akasha System, it's n almighty system that appeared from nowhere, with the only origin being its name, Akasha.

What is Akasha? Well, it's a name tossed around throughout human mythologies, and some easily connected the dots that Akasha was most likely a God just like Angelica or something similar. Some even made conspiracy theories that Akasha has been inspecting them since long ago, and have decided to bless them with the system.

But that doesn't matter, what mattered was the fact that they have gained the Akasha System, a revolutionizing change that made the concept of growth for the humans of Earth drastically different. Growth was now directly correlated to the system due to its game-like nature.

Yes, the Akasha System was akin to making reality into a game. Kill monsters mean one can gain 'experience' and grow stronger, kill monsters and they could gain magical skills, kill monsters mean they can grow!

When reality turns into a game, what would happen? It meant the way humans view the world changed. It was a direct strike to their mental state, and nobody noticed! They were directly fooled, and yet, none of the billions of humans on Earth noticed how strange it was.

Levels, stats, classes, titles, they were all things that shouldn't be normally seen in reality, and yet they easily accepted it.

And now, in a certain country called Korea, which was previously a country split into two and combined into one after the apocalypse of 2020, was a boy who studies in a prestigious school called Seoul High.

His appearance can only be considered weak and pitiful. His skin was pale like it has never touched sunlight, his hair was long and messy, his body was thin and sickly and his bones can be seen on his skin. His eyes, though bright and held intellect, were clouded by the darkness of despair and hopelessness.

He wore the Seoul High uniform as he walked through the streets of Seoul, consisting of a black blazer and black pants. A golden symbol of Seoul High was proudly engraved on the left chest of his uniform, as if shouting to the entire world: 'Look, look! Look at me! I'm a fucking genius who studies at Seoul High!'

Though the genius part isn't a lie. He really was a genius even with his gloomy appearance. He can be considered one of the greatest students of Seoul High in the current school year, with a high aptitude for magic and a terrifying intellect for his young age of 14 years, yet even with such brilliance and reputation, not a hint of happiness can be seen in his pair of eerie black eyes.

Why? Well, it simply was due to the depravity of human nature. One of the seven deadly sins, Envy. Jealousy, yes, many were jealous of his high standing and talent.

Let's get an example. Let's say in an otome game, a commoner with the special attribute of light managed to enroll into a prestigious academy due to their high talent. What would happen then? They'd get fucking bullied, that's what would happen.

Humans aren't inherently evil? Are you even hearing yourself right now? Humans are literally ingrained with the seven deadly sins since birth!

Do you know what the students of a prestigious academy would be? Rich bastards, annoying cunts, crappy young masters, that's what students would be like in a prestigious magic academy.

Now let's turn medieval fantasy into modern reality and this is what we get.

A talented commoner with high magical talent and intellect managed to enroll into the prestigious academy of Seoul High where rich bastards with entitled upbringing go to. You know what would happen? That's right, HE'D GET FUCKING BULLIED!

Why in the fuck are humans hating special people?! They're fucking talented and you hate them?! The fuck?! You should instead hate yourself for feeling useless envy because complaining won't do shit!

Now, what would happen to a normal young kid of 14 years suddenly getting bullied? They'd get fucking depressed!

Add some sprinkles of being an orphan, no parental guidance since birth, no friends since young, and we'd get this bag of bones who will probably become a fucking supervillain. And here we have those stupid teachers who don't do shit for this talented bastard that can probably attain S-Rank strength in a couple of years once he matures.

Then he'd get hungry for revenge, kill everyone, and turn into a monster that would kill countless as he 'Brings back pain a hundredfold' or some stupid mc shit in Chinese novels.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, humanity truly is fuck with how they are letting such a precious gem get corrupted by the darkness.

And if you were to know his name, then everyone would of course get fucked because his name alone is a great indicator of what fate humanity would face if this depressed bastard who gets harassed and bullied becomes a villain.

Oh? Did I forget to mention what his name is?

Well, his name is… Isaac Deathwill.

You heard that right, Isaac DEATHWILL! DEATHWILL?! Are your ears functioning, because a guy with a brain would definitely not offend someone with Deathwill for a surname! And he's an orphan too?! That's literally two ingredients for a villain to be born!

As Isaac walked through the silent streets of the outskirts of Seoul with apathetic eyes that showed how nihilistic his inner mind is, he slowly took a step and another one like a turtle. One glance alone and a person with bad eyesight would see the bruises all around his body, the bandages covering his battered body parts.

His uniform can be seen covered in food stains, blood, and other weird stains from unknown sources. His shoes are torn with holes covering them, clearly showing his impoverished state as a poor little orphan. It's a miracle that this boy is still alive and didn't starve to death because clearly the people around him are stupid and didn't realize his potential.

Just a bastard with a brain or two would instantly take him in as their son and raise him up, then now you're the father a powerful hunter, and raking in that cold hard cash by spending a few years taking care of him!

Though this level of harshness and stupidity is quite abnormal. In fact, this shouldn't even normally happen under normal circumstances… Unless an outside factor is interfering of course, like a factor called Freidrich fucking Braun!

What?! ANOTHER SCHEME?!

As the boy of depression walked through the streets, he looks up to the sky and sees the sun setting in the far distance, and the shadows of the buildings all around him loomed down on the ground, causing darkness to descend upon everyone.

But, as he continued to walk forward, an arm suddenly shoots out of a dark alley and yanked him into it. His body fell to the ground and he grunted aloud from the pain, he felt a sharp pain on his butt as he opened his eyes while wincing.

There they were, three young cunts from Seoul High whose faces causes and appearance caused Isaac's eyes to tremble and dictate in fear. Gone was his apathetic appearance, and was instead replaced by fear.

"What a funny coincidence seeing you here, Isaac," the guy on the left laughed and grinned nefariously.

"Hahaha, that expression suits you better than when you look so gloomy! It actually makes you look alive, shouldn't you be thanking us for making you look less like a necromancer?" the guy on the right added. And in his grasp, Isaac noticed the metallic sword that gleamed in the darkness.

But wait, wait, wait. Necromancer?! Are they actually pissing off a necromancer right now?! You know, the guys in fiction that can raise an army of undead and bring destruction to the entire world?! Are you telling me they're letting a fucking necromancer get bullied?! MOAN! Braun's plans are truly out of this world!

What is his intention? What is his goal? But wait, doesn't this seem like what the main character in a stupid novel would face? They'd get bullied and become revenge-hungry, then they'd awaken some kind of… cheat?!

"Kukuku, your gloomy appearance really does leave a bitter taste in our mouths. So, we decided to change that!" The guy in the middle grinned, before snapping his fingers and a bright white magic circle appeared on the ground in front of them, shocking Isaac.

'Summoning magic?!' He questioned before hastily standing up, his instincts kicking in as he felt the aura of death looming around him.

Slowly, from the ground, the appearance of a wolf with gray fur appeared. Its size was quite large, larger than your average wolf. It barred its fangs against Isaac threateningly, showing its bloodlust which made Isaac, who hasn't faced such killing intent before, shake and tremble in fear.

As the guy on the right tossed the metallic sword towards Isaac, he subconsciously grabbed the handle and looked down on it in confusion, 'H-Huh?'

"Nice catch! It seems like your reflex is quite good for a necromancer. Good, good, it means you can entertain us longer! Now go!" The middle guy waved his arm, and the wolf he summoned suddenly jumped forwards toward Isaac who widened his eyes in fear.

He desperately swayed to the side, barely dodging the charge of the wolf as his mind was alarmed, 'I-It's actually a Wild Wolf!'

Wild Wolves, they are E-Rank monsters that usually hunt in packs. Individually, they're not that strong, but their strength lies in their numbers and great teamwork. Even a newbie hunter can take care of one. But the problem is that Isaac has a weak Level 1 Body, and he has no attacking spells considering he's still a first-year and was not allowed to learn attacking spells.

Gritting his teeth, Isaac dodges once more and examined the way the wolf moves, trying to see if there was anything he could inspect from it.

"No, no, no. That's not fun, just dodging wouldn't entertain us!" the guy on the left laughed, and out of nowhere, Isaac widened his eyes as a sharp pain erupted from his thigh, and he looks to see a cut similar to a small wind blade's attack appearing on his thigh, immobilizing his left leg.

'A-Attacking spells?! Shit!' Widening his eyes, Isaac felt as the claws of the wolf swipe on his right leg, with him barely dodging it.

The pain was subsided by the adrenaline rush he was feeling, but now, both of his legs were bleeding and had dampened maneuverability. With such conditions, he knew that attacking was the only thing he can do.

So with gritted teeth and bleeding legs, the wolf charges at him and he timed just right so that a ball of light appeared in front of him, blinding the wolf temporarily. There was finally a chance, a single strike and he could kill it!

"No, you don't!"

A searing pain burst from his back, and he fell down to the ground while the wolf flew past him, just barely missing his head. With bloodshot eyes, Isaac could feel the charred flesh on his back and gritted his teeth. But he couldn't stop now, with haste, he turned his body and found the wolf lunging back at him again.

Its mouth was opened wide and the angle was low to the ground, it could definitely work. So with the last of his strength that he could muster, he stabbed his metallic sword forward and watched as it pierced through the open mouth and the squelching insides of the wolf, killing it in an instant as he could see the glow in his eyes disappear and its body went limp.

"Ha! That was definitely a great fight! Bravo, Isaac, I didn't know you had it in you! What do you say, boys? You want to do it again tomorrow?"

"Of course, of course. You'd better be back here tomorrow, Isaac, if not…"

As the trio laughed and left, Isaac was left alone in the dark alley bleeding to death as he could feel his vitality leaving his body. Exhaustion, pain, bleeding, he was definitely close to dying.

As he took shallow breaths, his body lay limp on the ground while he glanced at the sky dyed red by the setting sun above him. He could feel his strength drifting away, and he felt helpless from his fate. He couldn't fight back against them, one move from them and his life might as very well be ended with how much influence they have. He can definitely kill them himself, but he dares not do so.

And so, the light in his eyes slowly disappears from the face of Earth, and the strength in his body dissipated… But, like a twist of fate, his chest suddenly thumps loudly and his eyes open wide, he took a big deep breath in an instant as he groans.

The brightness in his eyes drastically changed, from despair and hopelessness to dazzling brilliance. But that dazzling brilliance was hidden behind an endless abyss of mystery from his pair of eerie black eyes.

"Ugh, I didn't expect such a rough start when regaining my memories. Status," Upon saying so, Isaac who slowly stood up with a grunt was greeted by a purple screen in front of him.

[Name: Isaac Deathwill] [Title: Seoul High Student]

[Class: Necromancer]

[Body: Level 1]

[Mind: Level 3]

[Spirit: Level 2]

Nodding at the purple screen in front of him, Isaac closes his eyes and felt the swirl of mana inside his soul and slowly moved it throughout his entire body. A light green glow covers his wounds and charred back, and the pain hastily subsided, until not even a scar can be seen.

'Whew, so this is what it's like to be back at the bottom again.' Isaac moved his body around, slowly getting accustomed to the changes, and inspected it, nodding in satisfaction at his talent and aptitude for magic.

Not only that, as he moved his left hand to his chest and put his focus on it, he sensed a golden radiance emanating from deep within him as he remained to act ignorant of it for the plan Braun has in store for him is one full of theatrical antics.

'Wow, Freidrich Braun, he truly is a monster. He not only gave me a great start, but also a great way to gain influence quickly with those three bastards! Once I 'activate' my cheat tomorrow, I'd kickstart my journey with a headstart. Hahaha! Life truly is full of mystery! To think a mere clone like me is undertaking a task comparable to defying heaven! Very well, Isaac Deathwill shall definitely succeed no matter what it takes, for the future is already set in stone due to that omniscient God's slithering tentacles.'

As Isaac walks away with an aloof face, the metallic sword in his hands slowly disappeared, and his shadow was cast long and mysterious on the pavement of the ground. What mysteries lie in store now? What plans does Braun have to fool the Goddess? What is Isaac's purpose in Freidrich Braun's grand plans?

A plan that involves overtaking a Goddess multiversal in scale, only a monstrous being like Braun dare undergo such a hard task, for he is Freidrich Braun, the Final Boss of the Multiverse!

This is merely another step in his long journey, for he was a being who threw away his god-given gift in exchange for the pursuit of knowledge. What shall prevail? Cheat or personal strength?! Only time will tell, for Braun's big-brain plays are only getting better!

From fooling an omniscient God of Eldia to now fooling a Goddess that is virtually infinite in scale and exists in countless universes! From a weak mortal in Eldia who suffered in a titan's stomach, to now a being whom dare pursues the impossible!

Growth through knowledge, and knowledge gained through growth!

Did you notice how radically different the writing style has been? I don't know, I just felt like having a more... a more noticeable narrator.
