Chapter 9: Do you want to become a Vampire? 2

"Mom do you want eternal life and strength to do as you wish?"
I was honestly in cringe for saying such a sentence. Why did I phrase it that way? I looked over and saw that my mom still had a shocked and confused expression. So I explained it in detail.
"After father died I had a wake-up call. I how you or anyone I hold dear could die any moment. So, I decided to do research on my condition and find a way to replicate it.
After much trial and error, I finally found a way to turn normal humans into something similar to myself. They will not be as powerful as me but they would be much stronger than a normal human. I call them vampires.
They will have superman strength, agility, senses, regenerative powers, increased bodily manipulation and many more.
A highly skilled and powerful vampire can even create elements like fire, ice from their bodies (AN: I came to this conclusion because of DIO using the Vaporisation Freezing Technique)
This species also don't age and have near-immortality" I noticed my mom's expression going from being confused to be scared to being amazed and greed surfaced in her eyes. Before she made her decision I decided to drop a bomb on her.
"Before you make a decision, as no being is perfect, vampires also have weaknesses. First is Sunlight. If you are in contact with sunlight or anything that mimicked sunlight you will be burned instantly. Next is you need human blood to survive" I said awaiting her reaction as this information will decide if she wants to become a vampire.
A little disgust was seen in her eyes but it was quickly concealed.
'Perhaps she realised she, a HUMAN, who belonged to a HUMAN tribe that sacrificed fellow HUMANS regularly and also had the practice of drinking their blood was no different'
After a brief silence, she answered "Give me some time" I accepted as it was a big change she needs to think about things thoroughly.
'Only someone wrong in their head or a weeb will accept readily'
Before leaving I said one last thing "I am not an incarnation of God. So don't call me that" maybe I am an incarnation of God as it was the ROB that gave me this power.
I soon left my house and entered the forest to do some training. As my teacher also died with my father I need to train on my own. I wasn't too interested in getting a new teacher.
Most people don't enter these forests as they are home to many kinds of wildlife. There are many dangerous plants, poisonous snakes and dangerous wild animals.
Many jaguars also roam in these forests. The Chalca tribe considers the jaguar as a spirit animal of their God Tezcatlipoca. So, they abhor the hunting of jaguars. Funny enough the skin of jaguars for some of their warriors.
As it was nearing nightfall the forest seemed even darker than it already was. Using my night vision I looked for any suitable prey. I suddenly heard the sound of something running past.
I used my senses to predict the direction it went and moved in that direction on guard. I moved through various overgrown trees. The area around here was very damp. It was pretty uncomfortable.
I soon saw a lake that had a calm surface. I knew that the prey was here somewhere but couldn't pinpoint its location.
After standing there for some time I went past the lake when I suddenly heard a water splash loudly and a black shadow lunging towards me. Using my superior senses I dodged ahead in just the nick of time.
But still, its powerful jaw grazed my hands. I was suddenly hit with a wave of pain. "Argh shit" that was when I saw my arms. A large chunk of my flesh was now in the mouth of my attacker.
I gazed at the black figure in front of me. It was a large feline with toned muscles. It had some spots on its hide that was difficult to see due to its black colour. It was a Black jaguar.
Its legs arched back as if it was going to attack me again. I soon raised my guard. The veins from my arms extended as they attached to the other half of my arm. Soon, I pulled it back and reattached my arm.
It was pretty confused that its food suddenly vanished from its mouth and was now back in my hand. It launched itself with its jaw open hoping to get a good chunk of my flesh again.
I dodged to the side and punched it on the side sending it flying. It crashed onto a tree and shrieked miserably. But soon it got up and regained its balance as it was looking at me vigilantly.
The moonlight scarcely shone through the forest illuminating the area inside. The jaguar circled me as it hid in the darkness again. The jaguars were predators that hunted their prey by hiding.
Due to their strong jaws, they will kill their prey in just their first attempt tearing through their spine and brain. They always hunt prey that is bigger than them.
Using the darkness as a cover it jumped from a tree to attack me by surprise but I already saw through it even in the darkness. It was without any defence in midair as I pulled back a punch.
Suddenly, with an intense will to live it twisted its body in midair and aimed for my neck. But a bone protruded from my neck and was aiming for its skull.
But I didn't kill it as I held it by its neck. It was whimpering and was struggling to break free. It even bared its fangs and threatened me.
"Haha, do you want to live?" I asked it knowing I would get no reply. "I don't know why but when I see you I don't have the slightest intention to kill you. I have killed humans without batting an eye but I don't why I can't kill you" I rambled to it in confusion and melancholy.
I released my hold on the jaguar as it ran deeper into the forest for its dear life. I exited the forest and went to my house as my body and mind aching was for a good sleep. I was depressed and I don't know why.
