Chapter 32: Onwards to Sangonomiya
A day has passed since my meeting with that man. I refuse to believe that such a frivolous person is a deity! My mind found its way into him again as I remembered what had happened.
What he said in our first meeting during the festival. His visit here, then our private talk. Where he did that thing... then he just left like nothing happened at all!
"Ugh!" I unconsciously slammed the table in irritation.
"Is something the matter my lady?" I immediately fixed everything as I heard my friend's voice.
"It's nothing, Thoma...You can come inside now." I answered while feigning ignorance. The door opened and revealed Thoma carrying some documents with a slight smirk. I have a bad feeling about this...
"I'm sorry for the sudden intrusion my lady, but a visitor came earlier to pass a message." I really had a bad feeling about this, but I nodded for him to continue.
"Ehem* ' I'm gonna be away for a few days to finalize some things in Sangonomiya and my wife is currently at Mt. Yougou, so I'm leaving Inazuma in your princess' capable hands' He said, then gave me this and left." He put the documents on my table, after the message.
'Hmmmmm?! So he left and dumped his work to me? Is this what the message means? And what do you mean your wife is at Mt. Yougou! Stop spoiling her! I'm jealo- mad that he just let her do whatever she wants!'
'So I'll be in charge of Inazuma's affairs for a while, huh? I'll make sure this nation burns by the time he comes back!!! ... Just Kidding! Even if I wanted to, I can't do that as the prin... cess of the Kamisato... Clan...'

'He planned this didn't he?!!! That fuc- bastard! He visited me and decided to dump his work on me! I mean, I'm happy that he thinks I'm capable enough, but I won't forgive him that easily!'
'How irritating! I hope he comes back fast..., not that I wanted to see him hmph! I just need him to take back his work and make him pay for this. I'll make sure he compensates fully. Un... that's all it is!'
I feel like I'm forgetting something... I'm too focused on my thoughts that I can't remember it. I looked around me and understood it.
"Forget everything that happened here and leave Thoma..." I meekly ordered, and covered my face in embarrassment.
"Pfft! Hahahahahaha! You should've seen your face milady! Do you want me to count every expression you did?" Thoma laughed out loud. It seems like he enjoyed watching my reaction fully.
"Thoma... Leave! And forget everything that happened here, or I'll personally make you forget it..." I said in a chilling tone, not hiding the malice in my words.
"I'll be leaving my lady... And I forgot earlier but he said ' Tell the princess to smile more, she looks cuter that way' I'm out!" Conveying the final message, he hurriedly ran away in fear.
'That idiot... I just want to run into my room right now... I don't even want to see my current expression... Curse that bastard! It's all his fault!'

(Lu's POV)
"Achoo!" I feel like someone just cursed me. This isn't my first rodeo, so I developed good instincts about it. It's probably Ayaka, obviously, since it can only be her.
"The fake merchant just sneezed haha! Wait, can gods even get sick?!" The little creature asked, feeling confused.
"I've been a god for more than two millenias and I haven't felt sick once, so probably no!" Makoto answered, now back to her cheerful self.
"So you really are the original Electro Archon! Can I talk to you later to ask some things?" The traveler questioned.
"Of course Lumine-chan! I have always wanted to talk to you. I can't say that I can answer everything, but I will tell you what I can!" The former archon hugged her tightly.
"Oi, you two! You should stop now, Kokomi should be near by now." I called out to the two.
"Don't even try you flirty god! I won't let you take Kokomi nor Lumine!" The flying thing stood in front of me.
"Then I'll take you instead, I heard from Lumine that you pass as an emergency food... Hehehe, I never tasted a cooked fairy before." I hugged her, and made sure she couldn't get away.
"Ehhhh?! Help me Lumine! You won't do that right?! We're friends after all Lu! hahaha..." Poor Lumine just ignored her, unable to leave Makoto's grasp. The sight of beautiful ladies hugging each other is incredible, but sadly now's not the time.
I detected some people approaching us and immediately let the terrified Paimon fly away, while gesturing to the now somewhat mortal Makoto. It didn't take long before we saw an excited Kokomi with a few bodyguards with her.
"Yo there Kokomi! How have you been? I hope we didn't disturb you in an important time." I greeted the cute resistance leader with my usual smile.
"Welcome to Sangonomiya Lu! I've been fine and don't worry, with the peace treaty, there's not much left for me to do." She said so, but I doubt dealing with the aftermath of a war was that easy. After our greeting, we decided to talk on the way there.
"I see that you came here with Lumine and Paimon, but who might be the other person?" The duo waved in reply, then she waited for my answer.
"Greetings! I'm Makoto, the current Kanjou Commissioner." The former archon surprisingly introduced herself politely. Kokomi only nodded in response, before staring at me.
"Seems like you noticed something unusual about her. I will tell you later once we arrive." I whispered to her, indicating its important enough to be kept a secret among us.
We continued to talk about mundane topics in our way. The three with me conversed with each other while following behind us. Sooner or later we will arrive at their headquarters. I will only stay here for a few days, so I might as well enjoy my vacation.
'I feel like I'm forgetting something important... Oh yeah, what to do about Ayaka? She's definitely mad...'
'No reason to think about it now, I'll just do the usual. Leave the future problems to the future me!'
