Chapter 34: Monarch's Order
Our meeting concluded after a few more pleasantries. Kokomi and Gorou left to continue their work, while a priestess guided me and my entourage to our temporary home. I had a lively chat with our guide as she toured us around the place. But everything had to end, as we arrived in the guest room.
"Where do you think you're going Lumine?" I asked in a cold tone, as I dropped on one of the beds comfortably.
"I-I'm just gonna ask around Sangonomiya if someone needs help..." She answered meekly.
"Do you think I didn't notice that you blabbed to others about me?" She froze at my revelation, understanding she'd been busted.
"I di-didn't do anything like that..." She muttered a weak denial of her actions, before remaining silent. But I wasn't focusing on her since I saw the flying thing escaping sneakily.
"You're not safe either Emergency Food!" I teleported her in front of me, and disabled her ability to fly.
"Ahhhhhh!!! ... Phew, I'm safe!" I caught the falling fairy and sat her on the mattress.
"Now now, come sit with us Lumine~ before I force you to..." Understanding the futility of escaping, she joined us reluctantly. I stared at the nervous duo, waiting for my next actions.
I also noticed Makoto, who's silently watching the scenes unfold in amusement. Sighing heavily, I decided to end the situation by flicking both their foreheads with a bit of my strength as punishment.
" " Itai! " " The two synchronized, and also rubbed their foreheads at the same time.
"I'm not mad, don't worry. I called you here, more specifically Lumine, to talk about something important." I said seriously, and the duo sighed in relief.
"This better be something 'serious' Lu or I'll smack you!" Makoto exclaimed, then placed herself beside me.
"Of course! We are in another people's territory so I'm taking this seriously... And since when did I play around?!" I questioned genuinely, but the three of them just stared at me blankly.
"Ehem! Now focus on my next valiant words! Its an order from your monarch!" I proclaimed, and the three actually took it seriously. Seeing their enthusiasm, I decided on being perfectly serious on this one.
"Rejoice Lumine! I have a personal commission for you! Now tell me ... how I can talk with the beautiful Kokomi alone!!!" Judging by their shocked expressions, I definitely nailed it. Umu!
"What the hell Lu?! I actually thought its serious this time!!!" Makoto repeatedly smacked me in anger.
"It is important! I have a proposal ready for her!" I retorted, while focusing on not being pummeled to death.
'Damn woman! I told you to watch your strength!' I cursed in my mind, before realizing I had caused that absurd strength in her.
"Hey Lumine! You understand me right?! Kokomi is really busy so I need to find a way to talk to her alone! It's serious business!" I pleaded my innocence on the crime I didn't commit, but all I got from either of them was a disgusted look.
"Don't stare at me like that! Its actually serious- Hey watch your strength Makoto! Your gonna kill me at this rate-" I dodged her attack, getting more nervous by the second. I thought about what I did wrong, and realized I worded it badly.
"Not that kind of proposal! I'm not flirting with her nor am I gonna ask for her hand! It's a pure, rid of any hidden intention business proposal!!!" I explained with my leftover strength, and Makoto finally stopped beating me senseless.
"I just want to propose something important to her..." I restated while catching my breath. She didn't hold back her punches at all.
"Are you sure you won't do anything to Kokomi?" Lumine finally said something after a while.
"Yeah! What she said!" Then there's her partner butting in. Makoto only stared at me.
"I won't! I swear to the gods!" I promised to no one in particular.
"You are a god!" Lumine deadpanned at me.
"I swear to the Electro Archon! I swear to Ei that I'm not doing anything wrong! If I lied then may lightning strike me down!" I saw a fast flash outside.
"Maybe I'll try to get closer to her a little but nothing more!" I swear I heard a rumble, so I immediately added that. The three only decided to stare at me so I waited for my judgement.
"Please ... It's actually really important. I also have a proposal for you Lumine but not right now. I'll tell you when the right time comes." The traveler was speechless, but I noticed a faint blush on her. Finding an amazing opportunity, I moved to take control of the situation.
"Heh~, what kind of proposal are you thinking Lumine? Surely its not that? Although I don't mind having you with me forever, I just got recently married you know?! 'Though its unofficial still' " I cheekily said with a smirk, as I took her hand and placed it to the right side of my face. Her face flushed, and it's definitely visible to all of us.
"Can you feel it Lumine~?" I asked teasingly, then cupped her cheeks.
"Eh? Wh-What do you mean?" The blushing mess of a blonde replied with confusion.
"My blessing that I gave to you. Feel it clearly Lumine." I guided her on how to do it. She exclaimed in wonder, and I took that time to remove our physical contact.
"What do you think Lumine? I planned on giving it to Kokomi too, even if she declines my proposal. A feedback from someone used to the elements will be enough compensation for my gift." I said with a bit of curiosity.
"It's amazing! I feel my connection to the elements twice as powerful than before!" She excitedly stated.
"Right?! I'm quite an amazing god, I must say! Fufu!" I let out a small hum of satisfaction.
"Don't laugh like that, its creepy..." Makoto brutally ended my happiness.
"Yeah... You're creepy, you flirty god!" Lumine nodded in agreement.
'Et tu Lumine?!'
"Well, I'll be leaving now to Kokomi's secret spot. So, see you later!" I said, before standing up from the comfy bed.
"Why did you try to ask me if you know about that already?" Lumine asked in bewilderment.
"For your approval, of course! Because I'm a good person!" I proudly replied with my usual smile.
'Its also a good reason for why I'm there, and she can back me up if something happens!' I kept my thoughts to myself.
"Finally, I'm free! Let's adventure outside Lumine!" Paimon exclaimed, and the traveler softly nodded in reply.
"Then take your leave Lu-chan~, but we'll privately talk later about what you did to Lumine-chan~ later okay?" Her chilling tone left no room for me to refuse, so I nervously agreed.
"T-Take care Lu..." A flustered Lumine waved me goodbye. I hurriedly left since I suddenly had a bad feeling. I took a glimpse once back at them, and understood why she's the twin sister of my crazy woman.
'I committed no sins, yet they branded me a sinner. What a cruel world...'

Just_A_Bastard Sorry for the wait! I didn't expect this chapter to be this long. I estimated that Sangonomiya visit is 3-5 ch but its looking like 4ch right now. I wanted some scenes with Lumine since she's up there in my top 3 favorites in genshin. Lumine gang rise up! Enjoy!
