Chapter 46: Dangerous Oni
The fog then cleared, and there stood a pale petite female, not even 5 ft tall. I hurriedly teleported in front of her to cover her with a blanket, as I forgot that she mostly wears clothes that are too revealing. The others with me definitely were able to take a peek though.
"Do you remember me, Ibuki?" I asked nervously, internally, praying that she remembered me or it would be bad.
She curiously looked behind me for a bit before giving me a mysterious smile. I have a bad feeling about this.
"Ara~, I do not have a hobby of being an exhibitionist~. If you want to do it again with me, then I prefer a private place~." She spoke in a seductive yet nostalgic Kyoto dialect, while slowly removing the cover I gave her.
...
I suddenly felt a lot of elements gathering behind me. Dainsleif had already backed away from the incoming danger, and left me alone. How cruel!
Sigh* It will take a while to calm things down...

A few problematic minutes later*
"Ehem! In short, this lovely lady here is Ibuki-douji. An old acquaintance of mine, who was a well known oni, back in my homeland." I finally introduced her after calming the others, mostly my wife.
"That name doesn't really fit~. I would prefer for all of you to call me Shuten-dōji, or just Shuten~." She said with a smirk, in the same smooth tone. Don't get confused. That's just how she normally talks.
"I'll get straight at the point. Can you elaborate on your relationship with him, Shuten-san~?" Makoto questioned on Ei's behalf.
"Taikoubou here should've mentioned that both of us traveled and fought together right~?" Shuten asked with a thinking look, and the others nodded at her words.
"Then you could say that we are close enough to share a drink... and even spent the night together~." Oh no you don't.
"There were others with us! Stop creating such misunderstandings, Shuten!" She only fufu 'd, and backed away with a shrug.
"I would assume that you didn't get any information about this world like me?" The others were curious but didn't interrupt.
"No I did not~, I don't think its even possible for both sides to reach each other anyway~." She expressed disbelief on how I did it.
"Then-"
"Can you not touch me carelessly~? I would rather not have you put something in my body~..." The oni bared her fangs, and fired out a threat.
"What do you mean? Why would Lu even do something like that?" Kokomi asked in bewilderment.
"Its only natural for him to do so~. 'Lu' here is a good guy, while I am evil~. I wouldn't be surprised if he did something sneaky out if caution~..." Rip my simple plan, it was too easy for her to notice. The others glared at her statement.
The atmosphere is changing too fast, don't you think?!
"...How about something like this then?" I took out two pieces of scroll, and gave one to her.
"A memory parchment~? How did you even have this ready? You better not be hiding a house in that pocket realm of yours~..." How did you know?!
"But fine, this will do~." She then closed her eyes, and went silent. Focused on digesting information faster. I took my chance and used the other scroll on her before opening it. Surely, Ei and Chiyo would recognize what I did.
"What was that Ziya?" Lumine asked with curiosity.
"That's right! Stop being sneaky and show us, 'good guy'!" This cheeky little...
"Here you go! See it for yourself." I grabbed more scrolls and duplicated it for everyone.

"Its just a simple format of mine, to gauge someone's abilities." I said it with a bored tone, in contrast to my smug look.
"Isn't that amazing? Nevermind..." Ayaka said, but stopped after seeing my face.
"How does this work, old man?" Dainsleif said with a serious expression. I knew it would catch his interest.
"The alignment should be obvious so I will skip that. The ability parameters section is complicated so I'll just give you an example. The lowest rank E in strength means 10 times stronger than a normal person, while the highest EX means its impossible to calculate accurately. The Noble Phantasms are just another word for special ability, or trump cards." I explained to them as we waited for my amazing servant to finish the parchment.
"...This is definitely incredible. Both lady Shuten and this trick of yours. Would you mind trying it on me later?" So you do know how to be polite, kid.
"Try it in me too! I'm really curious on how strong the new vessel you gave me, Lu!" Orihime said, and others also requested one by one.
"I don't mind. We would have enough time for it later." I said before turning my attention to my students.
"Once we started, we'll be doing this frequently. It's an easy way to see your progress." I stated to the four of them. I was actually curious if it would work on the flying creature... I'll save that for later.
"It seems like something interesting happened while I was gone~. I do hope you share it with me too~." Ah, she woke up. I gave her a copy of it and she looked at me with a grin.
"You could have asked me for permission first, you know~? Now I feel like you're seeing through me, bare naked~." Shuten said with a flustered look. I won't fall for it! No way you can make a face like that.
The others fell for it, though, and lectured me about being insensitive. Dainsleif once again left me all alone. That bastard!
"Let's go somewhere else and have a talk, shall we~? I'm sure I can tell you people a lot of things about this womanizer~." The smug oni gave me one last smirk, before leaving with others who were tempted by her offer.
The only one left here was me, how sad. Though I think that, it also means no one can interrupt my real business anymore. I took out a scroll that I sneakily used earlier, while seemingly duplicating the status chart of Shuten, and opened it.
