You wake up on the morning of your date with Peter and go downstairs for breakfast. Your mom made pancakes which you ate with syrup and fruit on top. You could not stop checking your phone to see the time because you were afraid you were going to be late.
At 10 o'clock like you planned, Gwen came over and she was holding a huge pink duffle bag full of clothes and a a handbag full of makeup. You spent about an hour trying to pick out the perfect outfit and you finally did. You were wearing skinny blue jeans, a white off the shoulder top, black Doc Martins and a gold necklace. Gwen also did your makeup which was natural; light brown smoky eye and lipgloss.
"You look FABULOUS! HE is going to LOVE you!" Gwen squeaked.
Then the doorbell went off...
"Y/N! SOMEONE IS AT THE DOOR FOR YOU" you heard your mom shout
"Wish me luck" you say facing Gwen and grabbing your bag.
You walked downstairs and opened the door and there he was. Wearing his signature baggy jeans, white t-shirt and his favourite jacket. His hair was messy but perfect and his eyes glistened in the sun.
"Woah, you look amazing, Y/N!" he said as soon as he layed eyes on you.
"You too" you replied
You and Peter walked to the Café an d took your seats. You talked for ages about your lives, family, friends and stuff like that. You both got coffees and you also got a blueberry muffin. But you also found out something sad about him.
"I'm sorry about your parents, Peter" you said sorrowfully.
"It's ok. It happened a long time ago" he replied.
Suddenly, multiple screams pierced your ears, making you cover them with your hands. Gun shots made everything around you rattle. The sound of glass smashing behind you made you fall forward. When you look up to grab Peter to pull him under the table to safety, he was gone. You ran outside and tried to find Peter.
"Peter!"
"PETER"
"PETER!!"
You screamed, tears flowing down your face.
A small kid ran into the road, crying, screaming for his mother and father. Cars and trucks speed down the road, not slowing down. Your adrenaline and instincts kicked in so you ran into the road, covering the child with your body, squeezing your eyes shut and pulling the boy closer to you.
You felt an arm wrap around you and scoop you up off the floor. You opened your eyes and you were swinging around by web that a masked stranger was holding.
They placed you on the pavement, away from the vehicles
"Are you both OK?" he said out of breath.
"Yes! Thank you! You are a superhero, aren't you?" the little boy exclaimed.
"I guess I am" the hero replied.
Before you could look at the saviour properly, he was gone, he was all the way in the distance, swinging by his webs.
After the disaster had finished, you waited on the Café doorstep, constantly calling Peter to find out where he was. He didn't pick up. You heart sank and panic rised in your chest.
What if he... died?
You stood up and paced around, tears falling from your eyes.
Then, you heard footsteps behind you. You spun around and there he was. Peter was alive! You ran to him and pulled him into a tight hug yet he didn't hug you back.
"Are you OK? Were you hurt? Where did you go?" you say relieved but still panicked.
"Uncle Ben died. He was shot" Peter said with an emotionless face but you could tell he was in pain.
"Oh Peter! I'm so sorry" you say going to pull him into a hug.
He pushed you away and said "I'm gonna go home now. Bye Y/N"
He walked away with his head hanging low. Your heart broke as he walked away. Your house was an hours walk away but you had no choice. After you got home, your family asked if you were OK after all that happened and you nodded and ran up to your bedroom. Your heart ached as you thought of Peter but you eventually fell asleep, soaked with your tears.
