Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Bye!

Everyone was really confused by what had just happened.

Currently there were five people in the room, two captains, one commanders and Eren and Liesl, previously there was also Klemens, but he had just left the room leaving behind him five confused people.

"That moron..." said Liesl as she followed him leaving the room, ready to ask clarifications about his last statement before leaving the room.

Everywhere they went the people were in a festive mood and nobody could blame them, they had just reconquered the district of Trost after all.

They had literally just come back from blocking the breach with the spherical stone, they were supposed to discuss the plan going forward, but Klemens' declaration left them taken aback.

She had reached him after lightly jogging for a few seconds and spoke to him "Kle, wait there moron"

He stopped and looked behind at the girl with a confused expression, after all he thought that his words had been pretty self explicatory "What is it?"

"What do you mean you're going on vacation? You didn't even consult me about it!" said he girl, more angry at not having been consulted than anything else.

"Well, I did tell you during the last mission, didn't I?" replied the boy, he had indeed done so, but apparently she hadn't taken him seriously because of the situation he had said so.

"Why do you even what a vacation in the first place?"

The boy thought for a bit on how to best express his thoughts, he put a hand on his chin pensively and eventually reached a conclusion "We just did a big mission, reclaiming an entire district, before that we had trained Eren in titan form non stop, before that we fought hundreds of titans saving tens of thousands of people, before that we had been training for three years without pause and before that we were just two orphans barely escaping by with the food we had.

I am fucking tired, therefore, I'm going on a vacation"

His tone indicated finality, it was clear that no matter what anybody said at this point he would not change idea, even she could not change his mind when he was like this.

But she thought about his words a bit, then a lot, eventually she found that his words where correct, they had done way more than anyone could ask of them, hey had literally saved an entire city almost singlehandedly, they had done more for humanity than almost anybody else in the history on the walls.

So if he wanted a simple vacation who was anybody to tell him no?

The boy thought a second and looked at the sulking girl, having completely seen through her current thoughts he told her "I'm sorry Lie, I should have asked earlier, do you want to come with me? We don't need to leave for long, a week would be enough, maybe two I we really feel like it"

He had never cared about the ideals of the army or about mankind in general, he had joined to protect the most important person in his life, but that didn't mean he didn't like it there.

He had joined for Liesl, but he remained for the friends he made during training and will keep making in the survey corps.

He decided that taking a vacation would be for the best to recharge his attention and drive to give his best in his job, he felt that the more he kept going like this, especially after having done so much in so little time, would have eventually burned him.

He thought that Liesl wouldn't have had the same problem as him, her dream had always been to join the army and free herself from the shackled that were the walls surrounding humanity, because of that he didn't tell her, but looking at her upset face, he felt that he made an error.

"Fuck yeah I'm coming, you can't get rid of me that easily, isn't that what you said, moron?" replied the girl with a radiant smile on her face.

Klemens was indeed right on the fact that she didn't feel the need for a vacation at the moment, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't like to go on one, she had never had a vacation in her life so the prospect of one intrigued her.

"Give me a moment" she said, turning back and going to the room where their superiors had already started talking about the next operation on the recapturing of Wall Maria, they thought that Liesl would reason with Klemens and eventually bring him back.

They were wrong.

She opened the door and put her body half inside and said "Yeah, we're both going on a vacation actually, see you in a week or two, bye!"

The now four people in the room were even more stunned than before, they didn't think that 'that' Liesl Stark of all people would be corrupted by the dark side.

---------------------------

The two left the military compound and went on their merry way an hour later, the had taken enough money to last them the entirety of the two weeks, selected a route and departed.

Thanks to the monetary extra that came with the medal they received they had no problem with finances, at little with such a small amount.

Their first destination was Karanes District, a district on the eastern site of Wall Rose, the only problem was that they realized that neither of them had clothes that were not military uniforms at all only once they actually reached the district.

Once they approached the gate to enter the district the Garrison's soldiers overlooking the entries and exits of the cities grew slightly alarmed, normally, seeing two lone members of the survey corps in full gear meant an operation, but they had never been informed about plans for other soldiers to come at this particular day.

They were two armed and suspicious individuals, so they wanted to take them in for questioning, the guards were only doing their job and well at that.

Fortunately, the Star of Freedom medal and the fact that both were really famous in every city in the walls let them enter after revealing their identity to the guards.

They never intended to hide their movements as they had no reason to do so.

Even if the commander wanted them to come back before they did so naturally all he had to do was to send a message to them and letting the Garrison know their location meant that they could find them without problems in case of emergency.

The second reason that they didn't hide their identity was that they didn't want to bother, which, for them, was a much stronger motivation than the first one.

The first thing they did once they left the gate behind them was to ask a local woman were they could find the best clothes shop in the district.

Klemens didn't care about the kind of clothes he dressed in, but Liesl said something about upholding their image as stars or something, he stopped understanding what she said around the time she started mentioning about how good clothes on good looking people made people think much better of them even if they didn't talk to each other at all.

Both of them was good looking, especially Liesl who was more and more womanly each passing day and even if Klemens didn't like that he couldn't mock her about it anymore, her mountains were starting to be worthy of such a name.

Meanwhile Klemens had sharp features and a naturally paler complexion, coupled with his corvine hair and emerald eyes made him an eye candy in the eyes of many females and certain men.

Not to count their bodies trained to an inhuman extreme and the fact that their bodies was naturally more good looking then others, giving them almost perfect proportions and chiseled and lean muscles ready to attack at any given moment.

"Wow, who's this fine stud before my eyes" said Liesl whistling as her friend came out of the dressing room with the first outfit she picked as he had no fashion sense, nor did he care about it in the first place.

"...Stop" said the boy, he didn't care about his clothes, but being complimented always felt good no matter how many times she had done so.

"Never, now shut it and take this" she said as she gave him the next outfit.

Despair clouded his eyes at the sight of the second outfit, the thought that he would have to change everything again gave him agony.

He now officially hated clothes shopping, but he did this and more for the sake of compliments.

He changed again, this time in a full white shirt and blueish pants made of a strange material she had never felt before.

Over the shirt he had a checked brown jumper with a black hood, she seemed to like it just as much as the first outfit, maybe more.

Eventually, after five more outfits he was finally let go by the monster in human skin.

Finally it was her turn to feel the agony, he thought, unfortunately his hope to see her in his same situation was shattered when she reached the third one without any problem.

She now had a full white dress with light brown embroidery on it in an abstract patter, he thought that she looked absolutely gorgeous in it, just like she had in every other outfit she had tried to this point.

Eventually she decided that they could leave as she was satisfied with the amount of clothes they had tried, they brought them and left the store with a third less of the money they had brought in their purse.

"Now, let's find a place for the night and how about tomorrow we depart for Wall Sina, I heard that around this time of the year there is a big public market where they fill an entire street of the Stohess District entirely with stalls and the people can go there to buy things" said the girl.

"Sounds good" replied the boy, entirely in the unknown about the devious plan the girl had prepared.

The problem was that they couldn't find an inn as soon as they hoped, once they finally found one it was already late and past lunch time.

"Hello, how can I help you?" asked the middle aged man at the front desk, he wasn't that tall, had an accentuated belly and a big nose, short brown hair in a stile that Liesl didn't personally like and a short beard.

"Hi, is there a room still available and if possible something to eat, we'll pay extra to make some more if you've already served everything you prepared" replied the girl.

"You're lucky, I still have one last room, it was emptied by two lads your age just a few days ago, pretty big guys, and about the food don't worry about it, we still have some supper left"

"Thank you very much" replied Liesl as she paid for the room and took the key from the seemingly kind man.

"No need to thank me, I'm doing my job and don't worry about the quality of the food, my wife is a really good cook"

The man brought them to a table and let them sit as they waited for the food, it was already dark outside so they were grateful they managed to find something to eat at this time, for some reason Liesl refused treat at some other place and insisted on waiting until they found an inn.

She must have had some reason, thought the boy who at this point didn't really care about her eccentricities, at least they found food they didn't have to pay extra for.
