Chapter 9: Family Talk
Sebastian's POV
I wake up to the ring of my phone. I slowly opened my eyes and picked up my phone and saw Louis calling me so I answered it.
"Hello, Louis?"
"Good morning bro, it looks like you just woke up."
"Yea, I did a lot of work last night so I slept late. What's the reason you were suddenly called. Today is a rest day, right?
"Um, because of dad. He wants to have lunch at a restaurant today and he wants you to be there. He seems to have something important to say. "
"Really? Have you already told him about Mr. Bill? "
"It should be… the case is always wrong timing because he is always busy with his work. But I told to Steve already. "
"Oh, I see. So, it means dad already knows. Steve probably told him. "
"Probably."
"All right, what time is lunch and what place?"
"At the Golden Castle Restaurant, around 11 a.m."
"Oh, So, I still have one hour of preparation," I said with a laugh.
"It seems like that. But you better be prepared for what dad will tell us later. "
"What do you think? Is it bad news or good news? "
"I can't say, bro."
"Will Steve be with us later for lunch?"
"I don't think so… dad didn't tell me he was going to take Steve with him."
"He should not be there. For sure if he's there, he'll just keep talking. "
"I know and dad will always listen to his shit."
"Right, Okay, I have to go now. I need to prepare myself. "
"Okay, bro. See you later. Bye. "
I dropped my call to Louis and got up from my bed. I go straight to my shower room then I switch on the water. I let the water flow all over my body. The water is so refreshing until I suddenly thought of Stella. I can't help myself thinking of her beautiful body and pinkish lips. I looked up while thinking of his gentle face then I realized I had to hurry because dad and I still had lunch. So, I decided to finish my bath. After I took a bath I went out of the shower room and got dressed. I decided to wear a simple outfit today. Just a white sneaker partner with a white shirt and black shorts. Of course, I can't forget to wear a watch. I think I'm ready to go. When I finished tidying myself up I walked out of my condo unit. I looked for a moment at Stella's boss's condo unit, she seems quiet now and there are no annoying cats on my balcony nowadays.
I went to the parking area and got in my car. While I was driving I tried to call Louis. He answered it immediately.
"Hello, Louis."
"Yes?"
"I'm on my way to the restaurant. Where are you now?'
"I am almost there as well. Dad seems to be a few minutes late, he told me. "
"Why? Something happened?"
"I don't know, all he said was that he would take care of something important first. He said we just go there to the restaurant and he will follow. "
"Oh, okay. What is that important thing? "
"It's probably a business matter."
"I hope Steve has nothing to do with it."
"I wish… Oh! Fuck! "
"Louis, what happened?"
"A stupid traffic enforcer came over."
"Oh, why? Did you do something wrong?"
"No, they just probably checking."
"Oh, all right. I just message you then when I got to the place. You take care. "
"Likewise, bro. Bye. "
I hang up the call and continued driving. Not much traffic today even it is Sunday. When I got to the place. I immediately talk to their staff and I said we have a reservation for today's lunch. One of their staff accompanied me to our table. This place looks nice and refreshing. The view is also nice. Maybe one day, I can invite Stella to eat here. I texted Louis that I'm already here at the restaurant. A few minutes passed he also arrived, as I expected we almost have the same outfit for today because we have the same taste in terms of fashion.
"Sorry, I am late, that traffic enforcer is kind of annoying," Louis said.
"What happened?"
"He checked everything inside my car even my driver's license. And ask some stupid questions."
"Oh, they do it in every car passing by? "
"Yea, that's why the traffic went on."
"I see, do you know the reason why they suddenly checked cars?"
"He said, there are reports of smuggling products so they are being more careful."
"Oh, that's not good then."
"I guess. By the way, have you ordered something for us to eat? I am already hungry."
"Not yet, I just have water. I'll just call the waiter. "
I called the waiter and came over to our table. Both of us orders steak and wine.
"Did dad text you already?"
"No, not yet. Let's just wait for him and eat first. "
"Okay."
"By the way, how's your cat-sitter girl? I don't hear any news. "
"We haven't seen each other for a few days already. You know, recently too busy at work. Mostly I get to the condo so late and I also don't see her coming out of her boss's condo. "
"I see, she's with a guy already?" Louis said and smiled.
"Seriously? She will not do that. "
"Oh, why not? Are you two already in a relationship? "
"No, but I know she doesn't going to do that."
"Oh, my little brother. Maybe you fall in love with her already?"
"Of course not. I swear. "
"What if she fell in love with you? What are you going to do? "
"Come on, you know me, Louis."
"Of course, I know you, you're my younger brother. You are the type of man who will only play with a woman's feelings once they fall. "
"It's not my problem at all."
"So, that's what you're going to do to her?"
"Can we just eat? We have food already and you better text dad where he is after we eat. "
"Okay," Louis replied and then we started to eat our lunch.
