Chapter 17: Chapter 17. Gringotts Wizarding Bank
Arjun and Tom exited from back door of pub and stood in front of wall, Tom tapped on brick with his wand, it wriggled in the middle, a small hole appeared—it grew wider and wider, it revealed an archway which is a entrance into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants. It is unquestionably the hub of commerce in the British wizarding world, with virtually every wizarding business stationed there.
Arjun started walking as Tom uttered from behind.
" You should not have to provoke them? they are very vengeful creatures... those pureblood families will hunt you down, Aurors should have already been informed...."
" Don't worry! that's my problem, I will deal with them....."
Arjun left some words behind and the archway shrink instantly back into solid wall, his demeanor changed immediately, his face turned pale and he started taking deep breaths as he transformed in to child, his clothes also changed. He fell onto his knee as he looked around, fortunately no one saw his transformation. Arjun looked around curiously, what he saw was a scenery of crowded market filled with weird stalls and shops, as he thought.
'fuck! my magic reserves are very low.... I am still not strong enough to contend against average wizards, Its good that I am proficient in short teleportation and telekinesis or it would have been very hard... But whatever it was really fun to mess with those wizards, but its nothing in front of what they are going to suffer by my hand in future.'
Arjun was not strong enough to fight those wizards but unlike those wizards he did not needed wand to cast magic and he didn't gave them chance to fight or they stood against him any longer, he would have exhausted his magic and his transformation magic would have been wear off. major point was they were very weak, if there was skilled wizard or Auror in their place, Arjun would have been caught before he killed or caught and sent of to Azkaban prison.....
Arjun pulled out potion from his pocket and ingested, after moment his complexations became better and he started looking for restaurant because he became hungry after using magic. Arjun stopped in front of a store called Tea and Sympathy.
' What A weird name? why cant Wizard be normal for once.'
Arjun knew wizards hate for muggle born so he went to corner and donned robe over his clothes, he entered and occupied seat near window, he had already learned etiquette from his mother. after checking menu he waved hands towards server, beautiful girl approached him.
" hello sir what would like to have?"
" can I have Finnan haddie and Pyttipanna, I will also have tea later."
Finnan haddie is a Scottish delicacy of cold smoked, flavored haddock. The fish is often roasted or grilled over high heat. Pyttipanna consists of diced potatoes and different types of meat and vegetables that are pan-fried in butter, Served with a fried egg on top and alongside various pickled salads. girl politely replied and left to bring order.
" ok, It will be ready in 10 minutes."
she doubted that if kid could finish it but she followed orders, after 10 minutes food was brought to table and Arjun started to eat slowly, other people also had heard his order so they were also observing. Arjun finished as People saw with wide eyes. they had only thought that where that this kid put all the food. Arjun also had tea and left after paying money, He even payed girl tip happily because he didn't have to face Chinese cliché where mc is kicked out because he is poor....
Arjun even went to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor to try various flavored Ice-cream. after eating Ice-cream he felt lot better so went towards sole bank of magical community operated by Goblins but before that he changed his appearance to average 25 years old young man.
Arjun approached bank run by Goblins as he saw an imposing snow-white multistoried marble building, it was located partway down Diagon Alley, near its intersection with Knockturn Alley, that towers over the neighboring shops. Arjun stopped in front of weird building that was bending to side, there were two creatures were guarding the entrance, they were short and fair-skinned, as they spent very little time outside. They had very long fingers and feet, dome-shaped heads and were slightly larger than house-elves, they had wore silver armor and also had silver spears in their hand. there was something written near entrance, its short meaning was ' don't steal from us or you will be fucked'. Arjun didn't knew if they were friendly or bloodthirsty and greedy creatures like how they were shown in some fanfictions so he decided to stay neutral until he get to know them.
" I want to open Account here. I also want to exchange some money so it would be good if we could talk alone."
Arjun said while standing in front of goblin who was doing some work, he had pile of gold in front of him. goblin nodded at him and gestured him to follow. they entered in small room, Arjun got seated on couch across the goblin, room was nicely decorated.
" I am Northolt, how can I help you?"
" I want open high end vault, put all protections you can put. And I have business deal for you"
Arjun uttered and hundreds of pure gold bar appeared from his shadows, goblin was shocked.
" there is more where this come from..... so what do you say?"
Greed appeared in his eyes, Northolt said.
" we would be very happy to do business with you."
" and don't think you can scam me or...."
Arjun disappeared from his sight as he appeared behind Northolt. he was shocked when Arjun disappeared and he felt something sharp behind his neck. he didn't even felt Arjun's magic, what scared him more that they had fully enchanted building with anti-apparition magic so no one be able to teleport in side building but Arjun was able to apparate easily.
" If you will remain faithful to your work, you will not face any problem."
Northolt nodded his head swiftly, he agreed with Arjun, He already marked Arjun as dangerous. Arjun returned to his seat then they started their business talk, he also put all money he got from criminals. After 2 hours Arjun came out of bank, he muttered as dropped golden key on ground and it got absorbed in his shadows.
" now matter with bank is finished lets do some shopping..."
Arjun disappeared in crowd.
