Chapter 2: Black Star Academy
Kira steadily walked through the busy morning streets. Everyone had a different colored watch on their wrist as they continued with their mundane lives. Above their heads flew many air crafts that seemed to be flying in an orderly manner but upon closer observation, one would notice that these weren't air crafts instead they were floating cars that drove in the sky rather than on the ground.
The invention of floating cars was a big technical achievement and was the first step in mankind's goal of fighting against pollution. The floating cars were not released to the populace after being created and tested instead people had t wait approximately 5 years for the government to finish preparing safe traveling courses to prevent people from crashing into each other.
Anyone who wished to purchase a floating car had to spend a year in driving school just to learn the fundamentals of floating cars. Immediately after the release and instant success of the floating cars not to mention that they were eco-friendly a few years later, the world government decided to ban all manufacturing of land vehicles for their floating counterparts.
The floating vehicles were not cheap so only the financially stable and the rich could afford them while the rest of the populace had no other choice but to walk with their own two feet.
Kira walked out of the crummy neighborhood that he lived in and one could immediately tell the difference. The building in the city were all exceedingly large to the point that he couldn't see their end even if he raised his head to the extent that his throat became parallel to the sky.
Kira didn't bother with sightseeing as he had seen this scene countless times to the extent that he felt sick of It, he walked towards the heart of the city where a giant portal was placed by the government. The portal looked like a swirling blueish-black whirlpool that swallowed whole whoever made contact with it. Besides the portal was a floating hollow graphic screen that had a fingerprint scanner, iris scanner, and several questions on it.
Kira waited in line for 30 minutes before it was his turn, he casually placed his hand on the fingerprint scanner before scanning his left iris as if it were the most natural thing in the world to him. After finishing with the scanners he turned to the questions but instead of answering them one by one he directly faced the watch around his wrist towards the hollow graphic screen. The numerous questions on the screen disappeared as another scanner appeared on the screen, the scanner scanned Kira's futurist watch then a new option appeared on the screen.

A keyboard appeared on the screen just below the location bar that Kira used to fill in the empty bar.
[Location: Black Star Academy]
After typing his desired location on the hollow graphic screen another message appeared on the screen.
[Loading...]
[Loading Complete]
[Coordinates Have Been Found: Please Walk Through The Portal]
Kira read every message carefully even though he had seen them countless times just because he felt that the hollow graphic screen truly cared about his safety unlike everyone else who would bat an eye if he just fell over and died.
After reading the messages Kira expressionlessly walked into the swirling whirlpool portal.

Black Star Academy
When he arrived at his destination he saw a large city-sized academy before his very eyes. Stunned by the large and exquisite designs of the academy that looked even grander than his home city, he couldn't help me in awe by the astonishing architectural designs of the academy.
The Black Star Academy was one of the few top-tier academies in the alliance that helped to nature future space soldiers, fleet admirals, battle tacticians, etc. Kira raised his head to gaze upon the clear blue sky but he found that the entire academy was covered in a glass dome with millions of stars littered across the dark void of space.
'I see... so this Academy is based on another planet without an atmosphere but I can't seem to be able to locate where this place is by looking at the patterns of the stars which is very odd'
Kira thought to himself but as he was deep in thought an unfamiliar arm appeared on the corner of his left eye as it hung itself on his left shoulder. Kira felt his heart thumb a bit before returning to its usual slow and sturdy pace as his eyes simultaneously took a glance at the owner of that arm.
The owner of the arm that hung on Kira's shoulder was a young man who seemed to be the same age as him but slightly taller. The young man had black spiky hair, a sharp jawline, an average appearance, and a slightly masculine physique. At first glance, Kira could tell that this man was from a good family.
The spiky-haired youth had a bright smile pasted on his face as his eyes were bursting with enthusiasm with every single word that came out of his mouth carrying a hit of exhilaration.
"Hell yeah, I can't believe I'm finally here! aren't you as excited as I am about this?"
The spiky-haired youth was highly talkative and didn't even give Kira the chance to say anything as he continued to ramble on nonstop as if he was talking to himself.
"Hey I hope you don't mind me suddenly being so friendly all of a sudden it's just that I saw you standing all alone as you gazed upon the awe-inspiring Black Star Academy looking like a country bumkin so I just had to drop by and say hello since its also my first time here, so I wanted to see if you're interested in being friends"
The spiky-haired youth's smile got bigger and brighter as those words exited his mouth, but Kira's face didn't change in the slightest as he lifted his arm that had the watch around it Into the air for the spiky-haired youth to gaze upon.
"Are you sure about that?"
Kira's voice was low but incredibly cold as if it could freeze the entire ocean solid. The spiky-haired youth felt shivers down his spine when he heard Kira's unexpectedly cold reply as his eyes subconsciously turned towards Kira's raised hand that had a futurist watch on it. When the spiky-haired youth's eyes fell upon the watch he could immediately identify it.
The youth's knees became shaky, his originally bright expression turned into one of fear and disgust, and he instinctively retracted his arm that hung on Kira's shoulder.
"You...you...you"
The youth pointed his finger at Kira as he tried to say something but his mouth couldn't utter a single sentence. Seeing that the youth was petrified by the immense fear within his heart, Kira walked away at a sturdy pace that was neither slow nor fast as if he didn't take what just happened to heart.
After walking for a while Kira finally found where the ranking assessments were being held
