Chapter 74: Knocking

Meghan couldn't sleep. She remained awake in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling above. She searched around for her phone with her hand and found it tucked under her pillow. She pulled it out and press the button on the side. The display flashed on causing her to avert her eyes. She squinted hard and forced herself to look at the screen. The numbers on the center told her that it was three in the morning.

She sighed softly, wondering how much longer it would be before the sleep gods took pity on her and allowed her to get some shut-eye. Going by how awake she felt, she assumed it wouldn't be anytime soon.
