Eleonore’s POV

“Oh, Eleonore. Hi,” I blinked at the man in front of me. Shocked coursed through me for a moment before I was able to correct myself, “I wasn’t expecting to see you here.”

I raised my brow at Hayden.

He didn’t expect to see me at my job? I didn’t say anything to him, instead, I shifted my stance and placed the crate higher on my hip. Hayden and I hadn’t seen each other since the incident with the kiss, and for the most part, I was glad for it.

I wasn’t sure what it meant, if it meant anything at all, or if we were both going to just ignore the fact that we had kissed. Either way, I needed a break from Hayden to figure out what it was I was feeling for him. I didn’t, in fact, the time apart from him only seemed to heighten whatever it was I was feeling.
