Chapter 11: Invitation

On the way back to the city, Anita received another call from Mr. Jacob. "Anita, how was your father's surgery? Was it successful? I was afraid you were busy the other day, so I didn't disturb you."
Anita was surprised to receive Mr. Jacob's call. When she heard that he was so concerned about her father, she quickly replied, "The operation went very smoothly. He has been discharged and has already returned home to rest. Thank you for your concern."
"That's good. Come to my place for dinner this Friday. I trust you won't refuse again, right?" Jacob said with a bright smile.
"No way. It's my honor to be invited. I'll definitely be there on time this Friday," Anita replied with a smile.
Jacob was also very happy to hear that Anita had agreed. He laughed and said, "Then we'll see you on Friday. I'll send the driver to pick you up."
The two of them hung up after making an agreement.

Mr. Jacob's driver had picked up Anita around five o'clock on Friday night.

Half an hour later, the car stopped steadily at Mr. Jacob's villa. The driver got out and opened the car door for Anita.

This villa was clearly the residence of a wealthy family.
After passing through a series of small roads, she could see a high fence surrounding the villa. Roses were blooming.

She followed Mr. Jacob's butler to the lobby. "Miss Anita, please wait for a moment. Madam Sylvia and Mr. Jacob will be here soon."
Anita nodded slightly to show that she understood. After the butler left, Anita started to size up the decor in the house.
At first glance, she saw the extremely luxurious hall. The gorgeous and complicated chandeliers were shining with beautiful lights. Under the light, the four high walls cast dark shadows on the soft carpet. The corridor beside the hall was filled with various portraits.
After looking around, Anita couldn't help but sigh at how gorgeous the decoration of Mr. Jacob's house was. It was country-style decor.
"Miss Anita, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting," Jacob said with a hearty laugh as he and his wife walked over from the end of the corridor.
"Miss Anita, I'm Sylvia. I'm really grateful for you saving my life. I'm extremely happy that you accepted this invitation today." Mr. Jacob's wife, Sylvia, walked forward and held Anita's hand tightly.
Looking at the enthusiastic couple, Anita felt a little embarrassed. "Don't say that. Mr. Jacob has also helped my family a lot. I should thank you both."
"Haha, don't thank me. Hurry up and bring Miss Anita to the dining room. The food is getting cold," Mr. Jacob said with a smile.
"Yes, I almost forgot. Miss Anita, this way, please." Sylvia brought Anita towards the dining room.
"In order to express our gratitude to you, there is actually another person who will eat with us, my son. He heard about your good deed and came from the company to see you," Mr. Jacob's wife said with a smile.
Before Anita could respond, she heard footsteps outside.
Anita instinctively looked at the door.
She first saw two straight legs under her black pants. Just these legs alone made Anita look upwards.
His abs could be vaguely seen under the vest of the tailored suit. His figure was superb.
