Chapter 3: Her Holiness
Davis reminded of the appointment with the Lunas Temple. She went with Asher to the Temple and was led to a room where they found men and women seeming to be waiting.
" Your Holiness!" they exclaimed
Arya was speechless at them lowly bowing at her and she wondered what on earth had gotten into them.
" Please...can you explain what's happening now? What's this all about?" she went
A man with a different garment from the others walked up to Arya and gave a brief bow.
" Well, you are the one whom Lunas Temple truly belong to." He smiled
Davis brought Arya a chair for her to fall into and ruffled her hair. She thought momentarily before looking up at the man in front of her.
" I'm stuck so...bring me all the scriptures!" Arya went " I must find what the hell I got myself into!"
" The Holiness is so determined but the documents are at the Main Temple. Also the Captain of the Paladins is with us." The man introduced as Head Priest of the North, Spencer " And these are your Wings."
" Lunas is said to be a winged being who wished to help humans who at that time hadn't mastered anything like magic or weapons etc. Lunas decided to give a feather of her ten wings to specially chosen people and yadda yadda-boom on of the many religion. It's quite long." Arya thought
Ten people were in front of her as she thought deeply. Suddenly the ten Wings began to glow brightly.
" She truly is The Holiness!" they smiled
Davis gave a crying Arya tissues and she sobbed wondering how she became a religion leader.
" She's overwhelmed with happiness." They went deepening the misunderstanding
Davis leaned in, " So how does it? I feel like I'm in a cult."
A serious looking man soon came in front of Arya and got on his knees. She was silent looking at his face and Davis gave her a slight pinch.
" Huh? Yes...what...are you doing?" she went
He raised his head and Arya gaped as his deep voice went," A portal has been set up for Her Holiness to head to The Main Temple. I am Captain of the Paladins, Nathaniel Diamondrise."
" You don't have much choice since we need to look at those documents to get more information on this ' Holiness' thing." Davis whispered " And you'll catch flies if you stay like that, My Lady."
" Let's go." Arya told closing her mouth
They went to the portal and she was looking at a magnificent building, The Main Temple.
" Welcome, Your Holiness." the greetings were
Arya changed into a simple yet beautiful outfit prepared for her. She walked through the hallway with Nathaniel behind her before going to the training grounds. Asher was getting the important documents ready for transportation.
" Is there something you're looking for Your Holiness?" Nathaniel went
Spencer and the other Head Priests were passing by Arya went," Just nobody seems to have as much divine potential as you, who isn't a Wing."
Spencer stopped, " Holiness, how is our potential? Please be honest, sick have been increasing and-"
" It worries me too since it will lead to a pandemic if left unattended. Although I don't want to intervene too much but...should I..." Arya went blurting her inner thoughts
Davis was nearby signaling the people to not interrupt her train of thoughts. He sent for tea and biscuits to be prepared for when she was done brain storming.
" Davis, how many Luna Berries are behind the Temple?" Arya asked
" A forest." he told
" Nathan, Get all the users of Divine Magic into the main hall. Davis, get plenty of Luna berries I have some work to to. The Ten Wings will support me.....Did I just create work for myself?" Arya went
Everyone had already starting moving per her instructions. In the main hall, Arya ate a number of Luna Berries and spread her Wings. Their was suddenly an eruption of divine magic that the Wings had to contain only within the Main Hall.
When it was over their power increased by leaps and bounds. Arya was ready to leave fearing this might kill her dragon egg and her survival.
" Thank you so much, your Holiness." they cried and Arya started regretting it
Arya frowned," I think I need to go home. We've been gone for too long."
Nathaniel bowed down in front of Arya, raised his head and went," Your Holiness, although we understand. Allow me to devote myself to you, Lunas would not be happy if her own beloved were left unattended by those that claim to look up to her."
" No Nathan. You are loved more than I. You are a work of divine love." Arya thought looking at his misty blue eyes and navy blue hair looked back at her
" This is the time you answer the knight pledging their youth to you." Davis whispered
" Of course." Arya responded without much thought
Spencer smiled," The Wings will arrive to your side at different times. For now the ninth and fourth wish to go with you."
" Of course." Arya smiled
The preparations were over and Arya practically skipped into the teleporter. She fell in the lawn of her Palace. Arya soon got up and was about to go with Davis to the Noirerose holding cells.
" Please take me, Sister." Asher went
" I can't there will be a lot of inhumane things going on." Arya told
Asher replied," I want to be a strong sword for sister. If I can't handle this much how will I stand with Sister in battles and wars?"
Arya smiled and agreed Asher to follow her and Davis to the dungeons where her ex-servants were held.
" LADY!" They cried
" Are you ready to talk?" She asked
" We've been loyal, we have not sinned you nor the royal family and this is how we're repayed?!" they grumbled
Arya face twisted and spears were thrust into the people. She sighed and Davis called a man into the room.
" Jackel, seems that Lady isn't happy with their answers." Davis told
The person's right eye was covered and he sighed," Whom ever you got them from taught them well. Although My Lady, I will get what you want and very quickly as well. I am Jackal Blood Noirerose"
" I'm waiting." Arya told leaving the blood stained place
Jackal removed the covering on his eye," Shall the interrogation, start in now. Our Lady is quite impaitent so I advice you to start talking before people start dying"
Jackal returned with papers and began," Sadly they were so tight-lipped. Only three survived to talk. As you suspect your ex-fiancee told them to watch you ever move and report everything even if you let out a sneeze. As they were getting to more sensitive information they suddenly died. Cause unknown."
Arya lightly bit her thumbnail and thought before responded," How confident are you to investigate into the cause of deatha and keeping tabs on Ryker? We can't risk losing members on an impossible task"
" Good point. He seems determined to control the Lady so he won't stop so easily. Though investigating the death, we'll handle that on and see where it leads." Jackal answered
Arya was about to stand as Asher spoke out," I want to train on your Palace, Sister. I won't go to compulsory dinners nor met with mother and the others. They'll make me compete with sister for the heir title."
" Alright. I'll support you no matter what. Living in the royal family is quite blood stained but I'll protect you too."
