Chapter 202: Confronting Fate

" Leave us, Lorelei."

" As you wish, my King."

Gilgamesh ordered his summoner as he got off his golden airship and landed on the roof of the Snowfall Company tower. The Queen of the Clock Tower leaped off the building as a whirlwind surrounded her to ease her descent from the tall building. She looked up at the building after she reached the ground floor and smirked before running off. Silva looked at the King of Heroes and sighed as he asked the Servant.

" I am guessing you want a rematch, King of Uruk?"

" That is one way to put it, Silva Branwen, but imagine my surprise when I learned you gained the title of Demon King of this humble island nation."

The Master of Black shrugged as he stated.

" The Mage Association just called me that out of fear and awe because I showed them I was not one to be subservient to them in any capacity and had the ability to end them if pressed."

" Yes, Lorelei informed me of your escapades, and I am certainly interested as to how they relate to your wish to return to your homeland."

" I honestly expected to be waiting for 60 whole years as I focused on purifying the Grail in the last war as it was corrupted, so I thought to establish myself in this world so I could have something to come back to as I had started forming bonds with people that are irreplaceable to me in this world. That aside, mind if we take our fight outside the city so there is no concern for collateral damage?"

Gilgamesh replied casually before leaving the building.

" Very well, then."

Silva followed the King of Heroes outside the city.

Within an ornate throne sat an elven woman with long, dark hair and piercing yellow eyes. She wore a dark dress with gold accents with some curious spikes sticking out from the palm of her hands. This was the Assassin of Red, Semiramis, Empress of Assytia. She rests her head on the back of her hand, looking regal with her Master, Reines El-Melloi Archisorte, by her side, holding an orb-like Mystic Code that suddenly lit up, and Lorelei's voice came from it.

" Archer has succeeded in luring Silva Branwen away from the city; commence the next part of the plan."

" Understood, Lady Barthomeloi. Assassin, if you please."

" Very well, then, Reines, let's see the despair of the Black Faction against my Hanging Gardens without their precious leader."

Far from the city of Fuyuki, a fortress rose up into the air and made its way to the battlefield of the Great Holy Grail War. From within the flying fortress, excited laughter could be heard, and its source was a middle age blonde man whose body was littered with scars with matching tattoos on both of his arms. He had on only a pair of tattered gray pants with a belt that had a golden belt buckle on it and gold shackles on his wrists that had long chains on them. He roared out excited.

" Finally, I can get my chance to fight!"

" Calm yourself, Berserker! We the plan to follow through, or it's my head on the chopping block."

" Sure, sure, Master. Don't worry."

The Master of Berserker of Red was Sola-Ui Nuada-Re Sophia-Ri, and the woman sighed as she wondered if her luck was good or bad to summon a sane Berserker. The Servant in question was the legendary Beowulf, who had the lowest level of Madness Enhancement that barely affected him negatively or positively. Beowolf grinned as he asked Sola-Ui.

" Hey, Master, do you know who is the strongest Servant amongst the Black Faction?"

" In terms of power, it's probably the Servant summoned by Silva Branwen, which we are not sure which he summoned, but knowing you, you want a melee, not some all-range fighting, so Saber, Lancer, and Berserker of Black are safe bets."

" Good! I can't wait!"

Berserker of Red bellowed as he was itching for a good fight and wanted nothing more than to rush to Fuyuki and pick a fight with the first Servant he saw. Beowulf grinned as he waited for the floating fortress to reach Fuyuki.

Mordred was grumbling to herself by saying less than flattering things about her Master as she was with Skadi, Scáthach, and Shuten on high alert, expecting the rest of the Masters of Red to appear. They soon linked up with Sakura, Medusa, Rin, and Ishtar, as it was better to have everyone together and up to speed on the current situation. Silva's wife spoke to the adoptive daughter about what to do next.

" We better get Irisveil and her team as well since we can likely expect the rest of the Red Faction to come at us to prevent Silva from getting any aid against Gilgamesh."

" True, Skadi-san, but should we worry about Otou-sama?"

" Not particularly since, unlike in the previous Holy Grail War, my lord husband is far stronger than before. We just need to be ready for whatever that Lorelei woman has in store for us, as she likely wants us occupied and out of the way."

Rin then asked out of confusion.

" Hold on a second. Are you saying Silva is fine with facing THE Gilgamesh on his own? The literal King of Heroes that is two-thirds divine, with a treasury vault filled with likely numeral Noble Phantasms and Mystic Codes from the Age of Gods?!"

" Yes."

Skadi and Sakura stated in sync as they were confident in Silva's victory or, at the very least, his ability to slip away with little to no harm. The Second Owner of Fuyuki looked between the two with an uncomprehending expression, and Silva's wife ordered.

"Let's go get Irisveil and Illyasviel for now."

The Servants and Masters followed Skadi as she went to the Einzbern duo.

" Moh! Come on, why is it so hard to find my soulmate in this War!?"

Complained Himiko of the Ruler Class, as she a forgone her duties in favor of looking for her supposed soulmate, especially since her clairvoyance had shown no indication of cheating from either side from what she did see. The first Miko conjured her mirror and saw images of a sizable conflict between the two factions and wandered out loud.

" This is odd. Previously there was no sign of any large-scale fighting but now... Hmm, maybe I should stick with whatever faction wins and see if they lead me to my soulmate since I can't divine him since he is likely a Master since despite the loss of a few Servants, I was not aware until it happened. Let's see if my Soulmate is going to appear or not."
