Chapter 135: Sneaky attack
Upcoming days there was a party celebrating their huge success with co-partners in country I. Sora has changed their Bless corporation's name to S&R group of industries including both of their initials in the name.
"I want her gown to look like a phoenix in the shade of hellfire, I want Sora to appear like the symbolic bird 'Phoenix', gloriously rising from its ashes," Reyhan said meaningfully, there were hidden depths in his words to the designer who was present for clothes which are supposed to wear in that upcoming party. He wants to make the couple's party dresses but as usual restrained from it so as not to alert people. He just asked for the contrasting dress for himself.
Cayden who does not know Sora is protecting Reyhan behind the scenes manages to prepare an attack on Reyhan with the mafia assassin group so that he can come clean. He wants to see if this can happen with normal people's help as he got the tip that Reyhan is attending some party in city M from Agni. He knows even powerful people like them are prone to natural accidents. If the attack is made naturally it takes the same time as normal humans to heal for them but if the attack is from a supernatural entity or weapon then it depends on individual powers to heal.
The dark forces were behind Reyhan because of his hidden identity, but now a hidden enemy from his clan also wants him dead which even he does not know. He was the resource of the positive forces, tasked with safeguarding humanity giving him the status 'Defender'. And Sora herself thrust-ed into the role of his guardian and protector bound to shield him until his innate powers as the 'Defender' were awakened naturally after his coming of age.
In between the party when it was less rushed, Reyhan took Sora to the rooftop for some peaceful moments. He has prepared some music and wants to dance with her romantically as he was not able to ask her in front of many people. He wants to live every moment with her intimately.
But before that, three men wearing a black face mask came towards them, one of them running at speed while two people followed them. Two of the men held Reyhan as a captive by pulling him away from Sora and a third of them held the knife at his throat while the other two pointed the guns toward them. Those looked like the criminals running away from the police. They were pretending as they instructed and under the pretense of robbery, they were planning to harm Reyhan.
Sora stood silent in her place. The man holding a sharp knife at Reyhan's throat was the dangerous thing to deal with than his other two friends holding the guns.
Reyhan who himself was surprised, looked at Sora and she signaled him not to move at all as the situation became tense with Reyhan's life in danger. He wanted to make her leave the place safely and let him handle the situation but he promised to listen to her with no question so he stood quiet. The atmosphere turned silent. As it was the top roof of the hotel, only a few people coming to the rooftop restaurants entered the floor. No one was around, or it would be chaotic.
"You can take whatever you want, just leave us alone", Sora spoke very calmly.
"Step back," the man holding Reyhan warned her, ignoring her offer.
Sora took a step back showing she listened to him and continued in a calm voice, "I have jewelry worth millions and you can get as much money as you want. Also, if you listen to me, I will save you from the security too."
"Seems like this guy is important to you, so we can get money from you if you want to save him."
"Yes! If you let him go, I promise to give you whatever you want but if there is a single scratch on him, I will break every bone in your body," Sora said coldly and they could sense she was not joking.
"Really?"
Seeing those men shook for a moment with her words, she thought and said again, "Or you can let him go and take me hostage. I promise I won't say anything."
She looked at Reyhan to ensure everything would be fine but he was signaling her to not replace him which she ignored. He didn't want her to put herself in danger for his sake. Also, he could never see her in any kind of danger.
When Reyhan tried to get away from him, the man held him tight, and in the process, he pierced the knife a little in Reyhan's skin which showed a tiny thin red line as it cut his skin.
Seeing it, Sora felt like killing the man at that very moment but at the same time, Reyhan was already pushed away from him kicking him and forcing him to throw his knife away. He was fast enough to catch gun holders and with lightning speed he flipped both of them on the floor.
Frowning, the man who held a knife to Reyhan before stepped forward to attack her, thinking of taking her hostage, but Sora dodged him and got back with her solid jabs and her few skills. The next moment everyone heard the voice of bone cracking and screaming. She was fast and no one could understand what she had done to the man that he was screaming. All main connected joints are internally broken.
Just in a minute, the man was lying on the floor in pain that he could not even make any sound. Aryan and Jacob already come there by the time. Jacob shot one of the men who were approaching from behind Reyhan. The painful voices could be heard as one man was shot in the hand, but the other one Sora was dealing with another level of pain as he screamed.
When Sora flipped him, she made sure to twist his hand at the shoulder and almost dislocated it. When Aryan saw that he thought, 'She is too dangerous when it comes to Reyhan.'
