Chapter 3: Niki - Secret pt.2
Niki POV
I was lying in bed, tears in my eyes as my whole body hurt. I was constantly popping painkillers every few hours and I held my shoulder in pain. Just as I was trying to relieve my pain, I heard the main door unlocking.
I quickly put on my hoodie, the cast back on, but hidden in my jacket. I turn to the side to cover my face. Soon, the lights in the room came on as I heard feet shuffling. "Niki ah, are you asleep?" I quickly dry my tears before sitting up right to see 6 of my members faces.
"I'm ok hyung. How was today? I'm sorry I didn't turn up for practice."
"We bought dinner for you. Are you hungry?" Heeseung asked. Before I could say no, my stomach growled, so I had no choice but to get our of bed to eat.
Coming out of bed, everyone gathered out at the dining table. I was getting anxious as I hoped manager-nim kept my secret.
"Niki ah, is there anything you wanna tell us?" Jake hyung asked.
As I looked around, I saw 7 concerned faces. That genuinely looked like they cared for me, no matter how busy or stressed they are. Not being able to control himself, tears started to drip down his face, as he struggled to open his container of bibimbap Enhypen brought back for him, only using 1 hand to eat.
"Hyung, can I say everything?" Niki muttered. "Yeah, everything." Jay answered, reassuring him.
"But first, are you ok-" "No. I think I need to see a doctor." Niki said as sweat started to rain on his face. At this point, Niki knew he had to tell the truth based on his hyungs faces. As he pulled the zipper of his hoodie down, he was only wearing a sleeveless shirt inside, that revealed the bandaged arms and casted shoulder.
The look of shock was evident on all of his hyungs faces, and they were at a loss of words.
"I got into a fight, my friend is in a coma in the hospital, a..a..and I couldn't just stand th...there and watch h. . . him dieee!" Niki cried. They all engulfed him in a careful hug as their hearts ache at the site of their maknae, their baby break down in pain, in tears.
"Baby, how bad is your hand? Anywhere else?" Sunoo and Sunghoon asked. "My stomach hurts," Niki cried, before going limp in his hyungs hands, the last thing he heard was Enhypen calling his name.
ENHYPEN POV
As we saw our maknae faint, Jungwon stretched out his hands to catch him. "Check his stomach," Heeseung instructed, lifting his shirt to see a very very big and ugly purple bruise. "Oh... my god," Jay breathed.
Sunoo and Jungwon were in shock as they could only cover their mouths in horror. The '02z and Heeseung were at the brim of tears," Call an ambulance! Ppali! What are you staring at!"Heeseung hollered.
Time Skip --> At the Hospital
Enhypen could only rush after their poor maknae that was lying on the bed, 3 doctors and 2 nurses running after them. They were soon stopped by the nurse that went into the surgery theatre with the doctors, shooting them an apologetic yet sympathetic look.
Tears started to fall on the member's faces. How could they not notice their maknae suffering in silence?
Minutes that seemed like hours, well, to be exact, 3 hours, the doctor came out. Blood stained clothes, gloves were everywhere. The members stood up in fear and concern.
"Are you guys related to... patient Nishimura Riki?" "Yes, we are. He is our brother. How is he?" Heeseung took the lead and asked.
"I see. Riki's body is not in the best shape, unfortunately. He was already losing blood when he arrived. From what we have found in this situation, he has multiple slash wounds on both upper forearms, 3 broken ribs, and a dislocated shoulder. "When the doctor finished his first line, the members were too stunned to speak, some crying silently, others trying to keep calm.
"If he had been admitted earlier, he would have been in better shape. Due to 3 of his ribcage bones severely fractured, we had to operate on him to replace the ruptured bones with metal plates. The surgery is successful thankfully, so he will be transferred to the ICU ward. He will need to get used to the metal plates in his body, so when he gets discharged, try not to let him do too much strenuous exercise. If not, thats all. You may visit him-" "Ok, thank you so much, doctor." Jungwon cut him off, before dashing into the ward.
