The taxi stopped right before the Li family's villa.
Mu Yuexin paid her bill and got out of the taxi. The surroundings were too silent and the place was illuminated by electric lights.
'It feels like the whole world is sleeping.' Mu Yuexin thought.
"Miss, you have come so late today. Is everything okay with you?" The old guard smiled kindly at Mu Yuexin and voiced his concern.
"Yes, uncle, there was something important at the company. That's why.'' Mu Yuexin replied gratefully.
After Mu Yuexin entered the building, she found only the small little yellow lights were turned on, however, suddenly all the other lights were turned on.
When Mu Yuexin looked up she saw the maid who worked under Li Yi's mother exclusively, staring at her.
"Miss Mu, you are quite late. Anyway, Madam intended to have a heart-to-heart talk but look at you, you have come so late at night…"
The maid folded her arms on her chest as she walked toward Mu Yuexin.
As she glanced at Mu Yuexin's slightly dishevelled appearance and tired complexion, she turned around and said while going up to the second floor, "Please wash and come to the guest room, take the least time possible."
"Guest room? Is there something important there?" Mu Yuexin asked. However, the maid had already left.
Mu Yuexin was clueless and confused but regardless she went to Li Yi's room and changed and freshened up quickly.
Afterward, she walked in front of the guest room and gently knocked it, "I have come."
"Enter." Mu Yuexin heard the maid's voice. She entered right away.
The moment she went in she was surprised to see Li Yi's mother. The lady was staring at the wall in front of her while sitting in a graceful manner.
The moment she saw Mu Yuexin, she motioned for her to sit in front of her.
'It's so late, why is she still awake?!' With this thought, Mu Yuexin went ahead and sat down on the sofa right in front of the old woman.
The old woman waited until Mu Yuexin focused on her and finally open her mouth
"I want you to do something for me, to be exact your best friend. Can you do it for me?" Mother Li asked with a deadpan expression.
'Something for Li Yi?' Mu Yuexin murmured. Let alone Li Yi, she would do anything in her capacity after the care the Li parents had shown her.
She nodded happily, "If it's something I can do, then I will love to give a helping hand."
Hearing her Mother Li smiled in contentment and said, "I want you to leave the assistant position in the Han Corporation and help Li Yi to get in that spot."
"Ah?" By this sudden turn of events, Mu Yuexin was stunned.
Watching her shocked face Mother Li smiled and added, "Don't worry, you will be compensated well. Ru Mu?"
Mother Li glanced aside and motioned the servant with her eyes. Ru Mu nodded and put a piece of cheque in front of Mu Yuexin.
Mu Yuexin looked at the old woman who continued, "You can put any number you want in that check. In return I want you to help Li Yi get into the Han Corporation, to be exact help her become the assistant of Young Master Han."
Understanding finally dawned on Mu Yuexin. Whatever Mother Li was brewing, she guessed. However, she knew clearly more than anyone if Li Yi wanted that or not.
"Aunty, it's not possible." Mu Yuexin replied. 'It's not even possible if you give me millions! Li Yi will kill me!'
'Is that why you and uncle became gentler and treated me so well?' Mu Yuexin guessed and became sad.
Treated kindly just so that the other person could achieve something from her, realising that Mu Yuexin wanted no more than to leave this room.
She had enough of this cruel society from her childhood but even when she became an adult and got such treatment from someone she respected a second ago, it was too much to just forget or ignore.
Mother Li frowned when Mu Yuexin rejected her wish and went against her prediction. "You can work in Sky Li Corporation and get hundreds of thousands of money at once. Doesn't that sound like a good deal to you?"
"No." Mu Yuexin shook her head regardless of whatever she said.
Mother Li couldn't tolerate it and harrumphed, "Don't think I don't know the thoughts of women like yours! That position will only waste in your hand.
You are an orphan and don't have any family background either to catch the attention of the Young Master Han.
But Li Yi is unlike you. She is beautiful, well educated and from a good family background. She can make good use of that opportunity unlike you."
Mu Yuexin's face paled at her sharp words. The thing that she was an orphan, she needed nobody to tell her this.
She stood up suddenly as she didn't want to hear those words that pained her heart.
"I won't and can't leave that position. If aunty wants Li Yi to get that, rather than talking with me here, you should tell her this.
If she works hard enough, she may get into Han Corporation and become my co-worker as well."
After saying that, Mu Yuexin turned around and left that room. Each of her words seemed to have slapped Mother Li's face.
Mother Li also stood up and yelled behind her, "If you don't help Li Yi and do as I say… you can't stay in my home. "
Mu Yuexin suddenly paused in her steps and looked behind. With an extremely bright smile which hid her sadness, she nodded.
"I have troubled Aunty. Thanks for letting me stay for the past few days…"
'Foolish girl, I know you don't have any place to go. Even my foolish son helped me in a roundabout way and you didn't get any rental place. You better agree or…' The old woman thought confidently as she moved towards Mu Yuexin.
Mu Yuexin turned around and directly left while saying, "It's better to leave. Take care."
"What did you say?!" Mother Li was shocked as Mu Yuexin did not look back further and exited the room.
"Didn't the investigation state this girl loves money? Why is this drama then?!" Mother Li angrily shouted at Ru Mu.
The servant was petrified by her anger and hastily explained, "Madam both young master and young miss like her a lot. It's a given they won't let her go. She is just trying hard to get!"
"Bring her back. She isn't allowed to leave until she agrees!" Mother Li ordered and collapsed on the sofa.
But never had she or Ru Mu thought that Mu Yuexin would directly leave right after.

Ru Mu walked out and went to check in Li Yi's room but Mu Yuexin wasn't there. She even checked the ground floor and asked the guards.
Finally, after searching the whole villa for a long time, she knew after having a conversation with mother Li, she had left the villa with the dog she had brought yesterday and didn't even take any of her belongings.

Mu Yuexin strolled on the streets of this high end area. Because rich people would live here, one villa or residence would occupy a large ground.
It was so unlike the busy and packed cities. She didn't even have to be scared that someone would assault or rob her in the night.
Because she didn't even have anything valuable and another point was, there were CCTV cameras and guards of other residents all around.
"Where am I supposed to go? The orphanage doesn't look like a good option. The office…" She stopped in her tracks and was thinking about the ghostly thing.
In the end, after wandering on the street like a homeless person, she finally went back to the Han Corporation.
The guards looked at her weirdly when she stepped out of a taxi and checked the time.
"It's 2 am… Why have you come back?" He asked suspiciously.
"Well the place I was staying became inconvenient tonight so… I had to come back."
Watching her awkwardly smiling face, the guard thought, 'Did her landlord throw her out?! But such a young woman, it's dangerous for her! People nowadays don't have any conscience!'
The scenario wasn't so uncommon in this busy and big city. He felt pity for Mu Yuexin.
"There are many guest rooms on each floor where you can sleep. Staying for one night should be okay."
The guard said and opened the gate for her to enter. At the same time he took the dog's leash from her hand. Getting the dog back, the guard felt he had just got back his job from the brink of death;
Even though Mu Yuexin was scared she went to the HR Department, she turned on all the lights leading to the general manager's office.
Watching the deserted place she patted her chest to give herself fake confidence, "Ghosts and fairies are myths! Myth! Myth!"
