Chapter 31: Fugaku's Last Speech
Uchiha Fugaku glanced at his family and went to the helm of the place where his clansmen had already gathered.
"Quiet!"
As the patriarch Fugaku still has a lot of prestige and the crowd immediately quieted down. Everyone turned their eyes to the front.
Fugaku swept his eyes over all the about one hundred ninjas that his clan has.
"Clansmen! Tell me, are you afraid?"
The crowd seems to have been provoked. They are Uchiha and they are very prideful, even If they were afraid they would never admit it.
"No!"
Fugaku activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and brought deep pressure on his clansmen with his pupil power.
All ninjas felt goosebumps on their bodies when these eyes fell on them. One elder was looking at Fugaku with an open mouth, too stunned to speak. Raising his trembling fingers he pointed at Fugaku.
"Man, Mangekyo Sharingan! It's actually Mangekyo Sharingan!"
Fugaku ignored them and continued his speech.
"You say you are not afraid but flinch from my simple glance? I will tell you frankly tonight we have to fight at least five ninjas who are either as strong or even stronger than me."
Immediately a big commotion broke out between the Uchiha ninjas, their faces turned pale and they felt desperate. Although the patriarch had already told them, that they have no real chance of winning this battle, they are Uchiha after all and don't take other people too seriously because of their pride.
But now they directly felt the pressure a strong man at the level of the patriarch can bring them and felt it was hopeless to fight at least five of them.
Fugaku's eyes turned cold when he saw his clansmen being so unsatisfactory. Raising the pressure brought by his pupil power to the maximum, he shouted in a low voice.
"You just said that you are not afraid and now you behave like scared rabbits? It's disappointing, where has Uchiha's bravery gone? Where is Uchiha's resolve? Where is Uchiha's pride?!"
The last words were growled out by Fugaku in the loudest voice he can use, amplified with chakra.
The words rang in the ears of every Uchiha member and seemed particularly harsh.
Yes, where are their bravery and pride now?
They are scared from a few words.
Everyone lowered their heads in shame, multiple clan members felt their Sharingan evolve further.
"DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF TONIGHT'S BATTLE?
WE HAVE NO PLACE FOR FEAR, ONLY BLOODY RESISTANCE!
EVERY ENEMY THAT DECIDES TO ENTER OUR LAND TODAY SHALL LEAVE HIS HEAD HERE!
TONIGHT BLOOD SHALL FLOW IN A RIVER!
WE ARE THE UCHIHA, NOT SCARED LITTLE GIRLS!
NOW GET YOUR FUCKING SHIT TOGETHER AND KILL!

The passionate roars of the patriarch continued to hit their hearts and they became infected. Their blood boiled and Sharingan uncontrollably activated, bloodthirstiness emitted from them.
All Uchiha's shouted simultaneously.
"KILL ALL INTRUDERS! UCHIHA SHALL BE GLORIOUS!"
Fugaku laughed loudly when he saw the high morale of his clan.
"HAHAHA GOOD! THIS IS HOW MY UCHIHA CLAN SHOULD BE!"
Using instantaneous technique Fugaku appeared beside his son and wife. He put his hands on the shoulders of Itachi and looked at him for maybe the last time carefully.
Pulling him closer he hugged Itachi tightly.
"Itachi, you will always be my pride."
Itachi looked at him with determination and nodded.
"Yes, father."
Then he turned around and hugged his wife.
"Thank you for loving me in this life, I hope we will meet again in our next life too."
Mikoto couldn't stop her tears at the moment.
"Yes, husband."
Right when Fugaku was about to say a few more words, he felt something.
Abruptly turning around with his Mangekyo already activated, he whispered.
"They are here."
