Chapter 3: Chapter ３
My father and I were chatting outside, and I told him that my identity had been revealed and he was surprised.
But I begged him to confess everything to grandpa.
Grandpa won't embarrass us if he admits it voluntarily and sincerely.
I persuaded my father to go to grandpa's room, when he was near the room he accidentally overheard that grandpa would give the company to Robie.
"Next month, I will go to the company to announce that you are the new boss." Grandpa said.
But Robie refused.
"Grandpa, I just returned to the company and don't want to cause public anger." Robie replied.
This matter is over.
The two of us went back to the villa, and he wanted to take a bath. I was ready to go back to my room, but he stopped me.
"Where are you going?" He said.
"I'll go back to my room." I replied.
"Aren't you going to sleep with me?" He continued.
"I'm not going to do that, so forget it." I answered.
After that, I turned and left, and Robie shouted behind me, "Listen to me."
But I didn't stop.
Finally, he threatened me with my father, so I had to go back.
My relationship is getting more ambiguous, but I know that I am just a nobody.
The next day, when I was with him, he offered to accompany him to France to see the attending doctor.
I agreed without much thought.
We arrived in France at midnight, and the person who picked us from the airport was his friend Vermont, who was very enthusiastic.
We came to a small house to lodge in.
The next day, Robie showed me around the house, and the cartoons in the study room made me very interested.
"Those were casually painted by me when I was bored." He said,
"Your painting is really good." I replied.
"Do you like it? Well if you like it you can just look at it" He asked.
When I fell asleep, Robie washed up and left.
He and Vermont went to the company, an industry they set up a few years ago.
After that, we went to the hospital to check his legs. Again, the doctor's result was a delightful surprise.
"As long as he continues with his rehabilitation, he will definitely stand up one day." the doctor said.
It's wonderful.
We were about to leave the hospital, but an incident happened.
A dozen people ambushed us in front of the hospital and a bullet hit Robie’s arm after Robie covered me in his arms.
"Get down! Get behind me!” He shouted.
I was so touched. After all, he never cared about me that much.
Robie's life was at stake after the ambush failed when the police arrived and the ambushers had to flee.
I was so scared, I waited 24 hours outside the ICU,but didn’t feel sleepy at all, my heart wrenched and I was feeling like sitting on needles.
After being operated by doctors and nurses, Robie survived.
Because I was the one who was not hurt, I felt guilty and took care of him with all my heart.
It later turns out that Robie's brother conspired with those people to ambush him.
Soon, his injury almost recovered. We returned to London, and the plane landed at nine in the evening.
Back at the villa, I turned on my phone. I had a lot of missed calls.
It turns out my friends are still looking for me.
Remembering the scenes of me playing with my friends on campus, I couldn't help my burning desire to go back to school.
And Robie said he could grant my request.I just have to wait patiently.
"Wait for a few days, the time has yet to come." Robie said.
Three days before the shareholders' meeting, Robie's friends came to the villa, and I did not know what to discuss with them.
His friends were very enthusiastic and joked with me, "If he is not good to you, you can come with me." One of his friends said.
"You're finished. Robie will kill you for that." Said another one.
Looking at the two people mingling, I can't help but smile when I recall my memories with my friends at school.
Then, we sat together for a meal, and they left without much talking after that.
After they left, Robie asked me a strange question, "If my legs get better one day, will you leave?"
I nodded truthfully, "Yes."
He suddenly got angry.
Two days passed quickly, and the general meeting of shareholders was formally held.
Robie's appearance surprised his brother and he scolded those fools who failed to kill Robie.
Grandpa gave a speech in front of everyone and announced that the new heir is going to be Robie.
Grandpa's speech confirmed Robie's identity.
Of course, his brother couldn't agree.
So he questioned grandpa in public,
"Grandpa, what are you talking about!?"
This sparked the Shareholders to whisper to each other.
“You shut your mouth!”
Grandpa's remarks still confirmed Robie's identity.
His brother hated him and shareholders questioned Robie's strength. Yet, when Robie opened his mouth, he left them speechless.
The next day after dinner, I brought him a cup of tea
He told me,"We are going to move to London, and then you can go to school."
"I…... I don't have to go." I said.
"I promised you so I will make it come true." Robie replied.
He is busy with his work, so I went back to rest first.
Soon, we moved to a house in London.
I like the warm feeling here very much.
Before I settled down, Robie told me to go back to school in the next following days.
"So fast?" I was shocked.
“I'm afraid to go back.” I added.
"Why? Don't you want to? " He asked.
"I Want to." I replied.
Of course, I do.
But on the other hand, Robie’s brother is going crazy because he has lost his inheritance position, and Megan seems to be concerned about it.
Inside the president's office.
Robie's brother pushed away all the people outside the office. He ordered some people to tell Robie to wait for him in the bar tonight.
Robie was going out to do some work, and Megan was watching him from afar.
Megan was using a car to track Robie, but Robie found out. When she arrived at the villa, she wanted to go in but she was stopped by the security guard. So she had to go home.
We had dinner together, and Robie asked me the question again, "If my leg gets better, will you leave me?"
This time, I couldn’t answer with such certainty,
"If…. if you need me……..then I won't leave you….."
Maybe, I can't live without him.
That evening, Robie went out to do something. He returned to tell me that he was eating outside and told me not to wait for him.
Megan came home and told our parents that she wants to marry Robie but this time she would do it herself, my father certainly couldn't agree with this farce. What a ridiculous thing.
Just at this time, Robie called my father.
"Tell Megan to come and divorce me tomorrow."
Dad can only promise, "Okay, I will act on it right away."
