Chapter 18: Looking For Where Nada
Alex tried to keep his mouth shut after he realized what he was doing, he forgot and instead washed his hands at the wrong time. He thought that Bela had left Nada's bedroom, but she hadn't.
As much as possible he tried to find a hiding place, because the area of the bathroom was not too big, and also did not have many hiding places big enough to hide his body.
There was also the voice of Bela asking Nada if there was something in the bathroom that made the sound of water due to his doing, and that made him automatically fall silent.
About a few minutes later, until Alex felt safe, he started walking toward the bathroom door. But oddly enough, he never felt the sound of Nada approaching him or even calling his name.
Alex started to open the bathroom door and started poking his head in the door to see if the situation was safe or still required him to hide.
One of the things that immediately greeted Alex was Nada's room, which was empty, quiet, and peaceful as if there was no life.
"Where did Nada go? Shouldn't she be locked up in a room? But, I don't see her here at all. Nor can she get out of this room through the balcony, because it's raining hard outside."
Alex's body was 100% out of the bathroom. In the end, he was confused, there was no figure he was looking for.
Suddenly his hunch went bad. Indirectly, his mind immediately fell on the mirror he wanted to move a few minutes ago. And in the end, Alex turned to the mirror he was referring to.
An ordinary person like him who wasn't the target of the so-called 'creature' who was the guardian of the mirror, naturally wouldn't be able to see what was happening. For him to step into the mirror was like an impossibility.
"What should I do? I don't have a good plan."
Alex ruffled his hair in frustration. However, he didn't want to waste time just thinking about things he obviously wouldn't understand. And in the end, he chose to run towards the corner of the room where he and Nada were sitting. He immediately took the book his mother gave him.
"What do I have to do?" Cold sweat gradually started to appear on Alex's temples, it seemed he was scared because he didn't want anything to happen to Nada.
After turning the pages of a book full of writings, there were even ancient writings that he didn't understand, until finally, he saw a mirror explanation that was the same as the one in Nada's room. He reads. In his explanation, that ordinary people could just walk to the mirror. But with one condition, he must have one of the objects belonging to 'creatures' who accidentally entered the human world. Or, that commoner should be the target as well.
"What is this? In the current state, where can I get that thing?"
"Is there no other way than these two?"
"It's getting dark, and some evil creature I've never seen before may have a greater desire to kill than in the morning or evening."
"Ah, looks like I know a lot about this."
Alex was deep in thought as he turned the pages of the book in his hands again. He tried to digest what was in his explanation until he finally concluded, that... It turns out that the mirror portal can open freely and determine their targets who are special people because there is indeed a curse in this house.
The characteristics of special targets are also described in the book his mother keeps. Nada had something the creature wanted, but for some reason, Alex couldn't find an answer to the meaning of that 'something'.
"This creature is so ugly, it doesn't deserve to take so many lives every year."
Alex is not a person who is afraid of horrible things. He is not afraid of the appearance of spirits, that is one of the advantages he has. But sadly, he couldn't see 'them'.
"Nada, please check again if your father is home or not?"
Hearing a voice from outside the room which was Bela's voice, of course, this time Alex became two times four in fear. No, not because he was afraid that Bela would scold him if he was caught secretly in Nada's bedroom. However, he was afraid that Nada would get in trouble again later because of it.
However, Alex didn't hear footsteps approaching. The sign, Bela only ordered Nada out of the room without intending to enter.
A sigh of relief escaped Alex's mouth. However, the rest of his breath began to catch in his throat because he was still worried about Nada's whereabouts.

In the mirror, Nada closed her eyes because honestly, she was feeling really scared. But don't worry, it's not an important thing for her to be afraid of right now.
"So what should I do?"
Jade laughed horribly like a devil laughing contentedly, somehow expressing it.
"Stop laughing, they'll find out later that I'm here. Likewise, with you, they're still after you, right?"
"Yeah, they won't be satisfied until my body is gone and only my restless soul remains."
Hearing that made Nada feel numb, her body was pale and cold. Indeed, who is not afraid to imagine what the future holds? Moreover, she will become the target of scary creatures.
"I'd better get out of this senseless and hell-like place, take me back to my world."
"Huh, don't want to continue sightseeing?"
Nada furrowed her brows. "You look scary, I didn't expect to be friends with you, Jade."
"Before I was also human like you, idiot. I don't want you to end up like me," Jade replied with a sigh. "So do you understand what I'm saying?"
"Maybe? Looks like I'll be lost in thought."
Jade nodded, understanding. Her head was almost cut off. Humans are tortured, but the pain has disappeared from 50% of 100% of human feelings.
"Well, if you want to go back, think about where you're going and I'll make it happen."
"Could it be?"
"Sure, why not? Do it."
Nada started to close her eyes, she thought that now she had returned to her quiet room.
"Open your eyes, Nada."
Hearing Jade's voice which was already like a whisper, made Nada open her eyes again with a body that was like being shaken by someone.
"Wake up, idiot, wake up. Are you in a dream?"
It was Alex's voice, and now Nada had her eyes fully opened. In the gaze of the man right in front of her, she felt a headache. "Finally I'm back."
"Yeah, where have you been? I was worried about your whereabouts."
"I... took a short walk in the spooky world of mirrors."
